Abstract

Hijab is identified with loins and still a discussion of ambiguity. Because the hijab from time to time has a narrowing of meaning. The issue was increasingly margined and raised to the international world after the French Government planned, and had even established restrictions on the use of religious symbols in French schools. One of them is the use of hijab which is said to be symbol of Islam. This article will discuss the hijab, including the views of middle-classical interpretations of scholars such as Ibn Taymiyah and contemporary interpretations of scholars such as M. Quraish Shihab. Here some views on the headscarves according to previous scholars seem too strict, with contemporary scholars being better known for their concessions in responding to contemporary problems. After that will be seen its relevance to the present.

Abstract

Latar belakang dari studi kasus ini adalah Tasawuf selama ini dikenal sebagai dimensi esoterik dalam Islam. Identifikasi tersebut sering menyebabkan tasawuf dianggap dekat dengan hal-hal yang bersifat kebatinan dan askese. Selama ini kaum sufi dipandang sebagai kelompok umat yang lebih menekankan kesalehan individual (personal) daripada kasalehan sosial. Akan tetapi berbeda dengan Tarekat Qadiriyah wa Naqsyabandiyah di Indonesia justru murid-muridnya harus terjun kemasyarakat dan aktiv dalam sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode historis dalam mempersepsikan peran Tarekat di masyarakatnya. Data untuk penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan melakukan studi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumen. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk mendekripsikan peran Tarekat Qadiriyah Wa Naqsyabandiyah terhadap kesalehan sosial masyarakat dan filantropi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan di mana ada sebuah tarekat yang justru mendorong para muridnya untuk terlibat dalam kehidupan bersama dengan masyarakat. Membuat progam filantropi yang bernama IBU BELLA yang berkerja sama dengan Rumah Zakat dan menghasilankan World Digital Philanthropy agar potensi zakat di Indonesia bisa di tingkatkan dengan menggunakan teknologi digital saat ini.(The background of this case study is that Sufism has been known as an esoteric dimension in Islam. This identification often causes Sufism to be considered close to spiritual and ascetic matters. So far, the Sufis have been seen as a group of people who emphasize individual piety (personal) rather than social piety. However, it is different from the Qadiriyah Wa Naqsyabandiyah Tarekat in Indonesia, the students have to be involved in society and be active in society. This research uses historical methods in perceiving the role of the Tarekat in society. The data for this research were collected by conducting observational studies, interviews, and documents. This study seeks to describe the role of the Qadiriyah Wa Naqsyabandiyah Tarekat on social piety and philanthropy. The results of this study show where there is a tarekat that encourages its students to be involved in life together with the community. Creating a philanthropic program called IBU BELLA which collaborates with Rumah Zakat and generates World Digital Philanthropy so that the potential for zakat in Indonesia can be increased by using current digital technology).
