Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the interaction of giving rice rush ash and straw trichocompost as well as the factors both on growth and production sweet corn plant on peatland and get the best dosage. This research was conducted at the experimental farm of the Agriculture Faculty, Rimbo Panjang, Kampar from February to May 2015. Thisresearch was carried experimentally using Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial, the first factor is rice husk ash with 4 levels consisted of: 0 ton/ha, 3 ton/ha, 6 ton/ha and 9 ton/ha and second factor is straw trichocompost fertilizer with 4 levels consisted of: 0 ton/ha, 2,5 ton/ha, 5 ton/ha and 7,5 ton/ha. Each combination was repeated 3 times so there have 48 experimental units. Each experimental unit there have 24 plant and 5 plant as samples. The result of experiment that was obtained using analysis of variance were tested futher with Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the 5% level. The result showed the aplication of rice husk ash 9 ton/ha and straw trichocompost 5 ton/ha are the best treatment for growth and production of sweet corn plant with production 7,21 kg/plot (equal with 16,02 ton/ha). Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the interaction and the single factor green manure, Azolla microphylla and NPK fertilizer on plant oil palm in the main nursery as well as getting the best dose. This research has been conducted in the experimental garden of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau in November 2015 to March 2016. The study was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial, consisting of two factors and three replications. The first factor is Green manure Azolla Microphylla with 6 levels (0, 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 / polybag) and the second factor is NPK fertilizer with 4 levels (0, 10, 20 and 30 g / polybag). The parameters measured were the increase of plant height, , in the number of leaves, stem diameter increase, root volume, dry weight, the uptake of N in the leaves and the leaves outbreak. The results were analyzed statistically using Analysis Of  Variance (ANOVA). The results of the analysis of the test manifold followed by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) level of 5%. The results showed that administration of green manure, Azolla microphylla and NPK on oil palm seedlings no real effect on the increase of plant height, stem diameter increase, in the number of leaves root volume and dry wight . In morphology, palm trees aged 7 months treated green manure Azolla microphylla and NPK grow well, but development in general leaves only reached the stage of development bifurcate. Oil palm seedlings were given the green manure Azolla microphylla with a dose of 40 g / polybag and NPK at a dose of 10 g / polybag provide good seedling growth and nutrient uptake of N highest.   Keywords: Azolla microphylla, NPK fertilizer and oil palm seedlings

Abstract

The purpose of this research to know the effect of humic acid, ash of oil palm empty fruits bunch and it’s interaction at medium of sub soil Ultisol and get the best combination to the growth of palm oil (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) seedling in main nursery. This research was done in a Complete Random Device (CDR) consists of two factors with three replications. The first factor is humic acid which consists of three levels (0, 25 and 50 g/polybag) and the second factor is ash of oil palm empty fruits bunchwhich consists of four levels (0, 25, 50 and 75 g/polybag). Data were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) andfurthertestedusingDuncan’sNewMultiple RangeTest(DNMRT) atthe significant level of 5%.The parameters observed were the increment of seedling’s height (cm), increment of seedling’s hump diameter (cm), increment of seedling’s leaf (sheet), root volume of seedling (ml),dry weight of seedling (g) and root crown ratio (g). The results of research showed the combination of humic acid and ash of oil palm empty fruits bunch gavesignificant effect toincrement of seedling’s height, seedling’s hump diameter, seedling’s leaf, root volume of seedling. The application 25 g/polybag of humic acid with 25 g/polybag of ash of oil palm empty fruits bunch is the best combination. Giving of humic acidgavesignificant effect to increment of seedling’s hump diameter and seedling’s leaf. Giving of ash of oil palm empty fruits bunchgavesignificant effect to increment of seedling’s height, seedling’s hump diameter, seedling’s leaf, root volume of seedling and dry weight of seedling. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of interaction award palm bunch ash and fertilizers NPK, as well as getting the best treatment dose to the growth of cocoa seedlings in peat medium. The study conducted an experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial with two factors and three replications. The first factor dose palm bunch ash (0, 28,125, 56,25, 112,5 g/polybeg), while the second factor is the dose of fertilizer NPK (3,75, 7,5 g/polybeg). The result showed that the oil palm bunch ash and fertilizer NPK significantly effect the number of leaves, leaf area, the ratio of the canopy and root dry weight of cacao seeds, but the effect was not significant on seedling height and stem diameter. Award bunch ash palm and NPK can enhance the growth of cocoa seedlings. Oil palm bunch ash 112,5 g/polybag with fertilizer NPK 7,5 g/polybag is the best dose.
