Abstract

Abstract: The proper allocation of capital expenditure will support the smoothness of government tasks and public facilities so that it will increase the productivity of the regional economy and job creation. This study aims to determine the effect of local revenues, general allocation funds, surplus funding budget and the area of the capital expenditure with the moderation of economic growth. The population in this research is the district/city of Central Java province in 2012-2014 as many as 35 consisting of 29 districts and six municipalities. Research data were analyzed by using multiple linear regression analysis of quasi model with a base of interaction. The results of hypothesis testing can be concluded that the local revenue affects the capital expenditure with negative intensity. While general allocation fund, economic growth, and size of the region have a positive effect on capital expenditure. However, the surplus funding budget has no impact on capital expenditure. Economic growth can be moderated by the effects of local revenues and general allocation funds on capital expenditures. While economic growth does not moderate the influence of surplus funding budget on capital expenditures. The result of this research can be used as policy and correction of decision for the central government in determining fund allocation, and it is hoped that local government will be more selective in the use of fund as well as to develop the potential of a regional economic sector to increase local revenue to be more independent.Abstrak:Alokasi belanja modal yang tepat akan mendukung kelancaran tugas pemerintah dan fasilitas publik sehingga akan meningkatkan produktivitas ekonomi daerah dan penciptaan lapangan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendapatan lokal, dana alokasi umum, anggaran dana surplus dan luas belanja modal dengan moderasi pertumbuhan ekonomi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kabupaten / kota provinsi Jawa Tengah pada tahun 2012-2014 sebanyak 35 yang terdiri dari 29 kabupaten dan 6 kotamadya. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda model kuasi dengan basis interaksi. Hasil pengujian hipotesis dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendapatan lokal mempengaruhi  belanja modal dengan intensitas negatif. Sedangkan dana alokasi umum, pertumbuhan ekonomi dan luas wilayah berpengaruh positif terhadap belanja modal. Namun, anggaran dana surplus tidak berpengaruh pada belanja modal. Pertumbuhan ekonomi dapat dimoderasi efek pendapatan lokal dan dana alokasi umum pada belanja modal. Sementara pertumbuhan ekonomi tidak memoderasi pengaruh anggaran dana surplus pada belanja modal. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai kebijakan dan koreksi keputusan bagi pemerintah pusat dalam menentukan alokasi dana dan diharapkan pemerintah daerah akan lebih selektif dalam penggunaan dana serta untuk mengembangkan potensi sektor ekonomi daerah untuk meningkatkan pendapatan menjadi lebih mandiri.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the effect of tax planning, deferred tax assets and profitability on earnings management in manufacturing companies. This research is a quantitative research. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from annual financial reports. The population used is manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2017 - 2019. The sample in this study was selected using purposive sampling technique, namely samples selected based on certain criteria. The sample used in the study was 50 companies in the manufacturing sector. The data analysis technique used in this study used multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the IBM SPSS 25.0 program. The results show that tax planning has a negative and insignificant effect on earnings management, deferred tax assets have a negative and insignificant effect on earnings management, and profitability has a positive and significant effect on earnings management. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of leverage, fixed asset intensity, and firm size on tax aggressiveness. The population in this study are manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2017-2020 period. The sample of this research was taken using non-probability sampling method with purposive sampling technique and certain criteria. The method used in this research is panel data regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that leverage has a significant positive effect on tax aggressiveness, while the intensity of fixed assets has no effect on tax aggressiveness, and firm size has a significant positive effect on tax aggressiveness. The implications of the results of this study provide input to companies in making decisions to minimize the tax burden paid so that companies can be more aggressive towards taxes.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of locus of control and organizational commitment on auditors’ performance as well as to examine whether auditors’ expertise and turnover intention mediate the effect of locus of control and organizational commitment on auditors’ performance. Samples of this study were auditors who worked at audit firms in Semarang. Samples were selected using the purposive sampling method. The data were analyzed using SEM with AMOS program. This study found that locus of control had a negative effect on auditors’ performance, organizational commitment had a positive effect on auditors’ performance, and auditors’ expertise and turnover intention had no effect on auditors’ performance. Furthermore, locus of control had a negative effect on auditors’ expertise, and organizational commitment had a negative effect on turnover intention. Based on this result, managers of public accounting firm (partners) should provide some trainings to the auditors who had the external locus of control so that they can achieve the standardized performances. They should also confirm the company’s values to the auditor to increase emotional attachment to the company as well as try to comply to the demands of the company thus its performance will be in accordance with company’s expectations.

Abstract

Tax is one of the sources of state revenue and provides a significant contribution to the state treasury. In-Law Number 28 of 2007 Article 1 Paragraph 1 it is stated that tax is a mandatory contribution that is forced and levied from individuals or entities for the state. Taxes levied by the state are used to realize the general benefit for both the state and the people. The realization of the usefulness of paying taxes can be seen by the growing growth of facilities and infrastructure throughout Indonesia purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the characteristics of multinational companies on tax aggressiveness. the characteristics of multinational companies include foreign interests, as indicated by foreign ownership, and foreign ownership; and oversees company operations (multinationality) in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2016-2019 period. This study uses a quantitative method by applying statistical calculations. The number of data samples in this study was 280 data from all companies listed on the IDX and used the purposive sampling technique for sample selection. The tests used to analyze this consist of model testing, classical assumption test, panel data regression test, coefficient of determination test, simultaneous test (f test), and partial test (t-test). The test results show that multinationality has an effect on tax aggressiveness, foreign and foreign ownership has no effect on tax aggressiveness

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused uncertainty that must be faced by companies, including causing a decrease in revenue which results in a tax burden borne by the company. Tax avoidance is designed to reduce the tax burden, it can be the main agenda of company management, especially when experiencing financial difficulties. This study aims to provide empirical evidence regarding the effect of earnings management and transfer pricing on tax evasion, as well as examine differences in tax evasion before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The population in this study are manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2020 period. By using purposive sampling technique, data were obtained from 62 companies. The results show that earnings management has no effect on tax evasion, and transfer pricing has a significant positive effect on tax evasion. Transfer pricing is carried out on related parties who easily arrange pricing unfairly by raising prices or lowering prices, so that the existence of transfer pricing practices can minimize the tax that must be paid. After conducting a different test with the Wilcoxon Non-Parametric Test, it can be concluded that there is no difference in tax evasion before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The tax incentives during a pandemic which can be an opportunity for managers to take advantage of greater tax avoidance, but this does not motivate managers to be more aggressive in implementing tax avoidance practices

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the variables that affect tax avoidance, the dependent variable. Leverage, profitability, and company size are employed as independent variables. For the 2018–2021 period, this analysis uses secondary data gathered from yearly reports obtained from the Indonesian Stock Exchange. Purposive sampling was used to collect 96 samples from 24 companies over a 4-year period, from 2018 to 2021. Eviews 10 software was used to process this research. The Chow test, Hausman test, and Lagrange multiplier test were the techniques employed. The conclusion reached is that tax evasion is influenced by leverage. While company size and profitability have no bearing on tax avoidance.

Abstract

The company's achievements cannot be separated from synergies and contributions to support the implementation of digitalization in all lines. To help companies measure and improve performance in managing the company's impact on the environment and society, companies need to report sustainability reports. Sustainability Report is a report issued by the company to report the company's performance that focuses on three main aspects, namely economic aspects, environmental aspects and social aspects. Sustainability reports are issued with the aim of sharing the actions and results of corporate social responsibility. This study aims to examine profitability, sales growth, company size, and the board of commissioners that influence the disclosure of sustainability reports in Indonesia. The population in this study was conducted on 11 companies and obtained 55 samples in the banking sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2018 - 2022. The data analysis used is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The results of this study state that profitability has a negative effect on disclosure of sustainability reports. Company size has a positive effect on disclosure of sustainability reports. Company age has no effect on disclosure of sustainability reports.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji tentang data secara empiris mengenai faktor - faktor yang mempengaruhi agresivitas pajak pada Perusahaan manufaktur di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). Faktor – faktor ini yang terdiri dari variabel independen profitabilitas, leverage dan juga capital intensity. Populasi dalam penelitian ini menggunakan perusahaan manufaktur sektor energi yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama lima tahun pada periode 2017-2021. Pengambilan sampel penelitian ini menggunakan Purposive sampling. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 16 perusahaan yang didapatkan di laporan keungan dan laporan tahunan per 31 Desember pada tahun penelitian. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan data panel regresi menggunakan program Eviews 12. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa profitabilitas dan capital intensity berpengaruh signifikan terhadap agresivitas pajak dan leverage tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap agresivitas pajak.
