Abstract

H. SUTARNO & M.H. SIAGIAN, 1986.respiration type and ripening of avocado fruits. Berita Biologi 3(6) : 283 - 286. Respiratiqn late and ripening of avocado fruits under storage at 25°, 28 ± 1°, 31°, and 33°C were investigated. Respiration, rate increased obviously after stored for seven days. The longest ripening period was six days i.e. from 6th to 11th days under 31°C storage. The best ripening fruit performance was obtained from storage at 31°C and 28±1°C for 7 days.

Abstract

N.W UTAMI, H.SUTARNO&P.S.CITROREKSOKO.1986.Changes of chemical constituents of avocado fruits as affected by various storage temperatures.Berita Biologi 3(4) 163-166.Effects of storage temperatures on avocado fruits were observed in laboratoty at 25 °C,28± 1°C and 33°C for 0,4,7 and 12 days,Results of these experiment were intended to know the best quality of the fruits during the storage period. The results indicated that the best quality of the fruits was stored at 31 °C for 7 days. The biochemical content such as carotenoid was 1198.31 1.U.vitamin A,Whereas the oil content was 12.07% and the decomposition of the oil ws very slow

Abstract

H. SUTARNO, H. ROEMANTYO & E.K. SUPARDIJONO. 1985. Plants with lowly statures in the kitchen gardens in Teluknaga, Citeureup and Pacet. Berita Biologi 3 (2): 49 - 54. Studies on kitchen garden crops of the lower stratum (3m) including climbing plants were carried out in Teluknaga (0-10m), Citeureup (200-500m) and Pacet (600-1400). These studies were aimed at obtaining information on species variation, cultivation and utilization. The species number in those three subdistricts were 14, 36 and 37 species, respectively. Among the most commonly observed crops were chilipepper, pineapple, sugarcane, coco-yam, cassava and taro. The relatively good soil and climatic conditions as well as reasonably large habitants being farmers, the home-gardens in Ci-1 teureup and Pacet enabled the owners to fully utilize their home-gardens for agriculture.
