Abstract

This research was conducted on April to May 2009, in the Laboratory of Fish Nutrition and Experimental Pond, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, University of Riau. The purpose of this research are to know the amount of fermented leucaena leaf flour as the alternative feed ingredient on growth of baung (Hemibragus nemurus) with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used with five different treatments; P0 (0 : 100%), P1 (10 : 90%), P2 (20 : 80%), P3 (30 : 70%), P4 (40:60%), and three replications. Result indicated that the leucaena leaf flour as the feed ingredient gave significant effect (P < 0.05) on disgebility of diets, feed efficiency, protein retentions, and growth specific. The highest disgebility of diets at P3 (30:70) with 62,96%, effiency feed at P3 (30:70) with 21,12 %, retention protein at P3 (30:70) with 13,45%, growth specific at P3 (30:70) with 1,93%. The quality of the water in the container maintenance temperature of 26-31oC, Dissolved Oxygen levels of 2,8-3.4 ppm, pH of 5-7.Key word : Diet, Growth, Fermented leucaena leaf, Hemibragus nemurus

Abstract

The research was conducted from March to April 2014 in experimental pond Fishery and Science Faculty of Riau University. The purposed of the research was to knowed the effect of different substituted fish meal with maggot meal that provide the best growth of Jambal siam (Pangasius hypopthalmus). The experiment was designed by Completely Random design with 5 substitution and 3 replication. The result indicated that differnt substitution fish meal with maggot meal doesn’t have significantely effect on growth of Jambal siam (Pangasius hypopthalmus). The best result was achived by treatment E with 100% Maggot meal level. Total absolute body weight, spesific growth rate and feet efficiency was 30,16 grams, 4,76%/ day, and 69,3% respectively, while the best protein retention and survival rate on treatment C ( 50 % of maggot meal) of 44,52 % and 70 % respectively. Water quality during the research are temperature of 29 – 30 0 C, pH of 5 – 6, and disolved oxygen of 4,5 - 5,4 ppm.Key word :Maggot meal, Fish meal,Jambal siam (Pangasius hypopthalmus)

Abstract

The research was conducted at experimental pond, Fisheries and MarineScience Faculty Riau University from February to April 2014. The aim of theresearch was to determine of utilization sago lees fermentation of different levelsthat provide the best growth of baung (mystus nemurus C.V). the experiment wastdesign by completely random design and student neuman keuls to differentiateamong treatments. The treatments were applied namely ( 0, 25, 50, 75, and100%). The result indicated that different levels of utilization sago leesfermentation doesn’t have significantly effect on growth of baung (Mystusnemurus C.V). The best result was achieved by treatment A ( Non – Sago leesfermentation). Total absolute body weight of 20,62 g, Spesific Growth Rate of1,82 % /day, food efficiency of 36,09 %, while the best protein retention andsurvival rate on treatment D ( 75 % of sago lees fermentation) of 11,34 % and 95% respectively. Water quality during the research are temperature of 27 – 31 0 C,pH of 5 – 6, and disolved oxygen of 4,5 - 5,4 ppm.Keyword : Fermentation, sago lees, growth, Mystus nemurus C.V

Abstract

The research was conducted from 20 April 2015-14 July 2015. Thepurpose of this research was know the amount of water hyacinth in the diets ongrowth, feed afficiency and protein retention of river carp (Leptobarbus hoevenii).Five isonitrogenus (30% crude protein) experimental diets was formulated tocontain 0, 10, 20, 30 and 40% water hyacinth and 100, 90, 80, 70 and 60% soybenmeal (P0, P1, P2, P3 and P4, respectively. Completely randomized design (CRD)was used in this experiment. The results showed that a diet containing 40% waterhyacinth and 60% soyben meal (P4) support a good specific growth rate(1.0%/day) feed efficiency rate (22.23%) forage digestibility (54.95%) and proteinretention (24.54%). Survival rate of fish was high (98%). In this concluded that upto 60% soyben meal can be substituted with water hyacinth in the diets for rivercarp.Key word: Diet, growth, Leptobarbus hoevenii, substitution, water hyacinth

Abstract

This research was conducted on 10th June until 24th July 2015. The aims ofthis research was to determine the best dose of noni fruit flour (Morinda citrifolia L)addition in feed to increase immunity of nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) by S.iniae. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor, five treatments and three replications. The treatments were addition of noni fruit flourin the feed with different concentration i.e : Kn (without addition of noni fruit flourand without infected by S. iniae), Kp (without addition of noni fruit flour and infectedby S. iniae), P1 (addition of noni fruit flour 3 g/kg of feed and infected by S. iniae), P2(addition of noni fruit flour 6 g/kg of feed and infected by S. iniae) and P3 (additionof noni fruit flour 9 g/kg of feed and infected with S. iniae). Noni fruit flour giventhrough artificial feed with 30% of protein content. The results showed that noni fruitflour in feed of treatment P3 on the best dose (9 g/kg of feed) was total leukocytes73.720 cell/mm3, lymphocytes 66.33%, monocytes 29.33%, neutrophils 4.33%, theaverage of weight 24.06 g and survival rate 91.67%.Key word : Differentiation of leukocytes, Morinda citrifolia L, Oreochromisniloticus, Streptococcus iniae,
