Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran capaian kemampuan multipresentasi siswa pada materi usaha dan energi melalui penerapan pembelajaran konseptual interaktif dengan pendekatan multirepresentasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pre-experiment dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one-group pretest-postest. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 35 siswa kelas X MIA 1 di salah satu SMA Negeri Sumedang. Penelitian ini menggunakan perangkat instrumen tes multirepresentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pencapaian kemampuan multirepresentasi yang optimal. Sedangkan persentase terbesar capaian KKI berdasarkan hasil tes uraian sebesar 100% yaitu mentranslasi representasi gambar menjadi representasi diagram batang energi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa, penerapan pembelajaran konseptual interaktif dengan pendekatan multirepresentasi dapat mengoptimalkan capaian keterampilan komunikasi ilmiah khususnya kemampuan multirepresentasi siswa pada materi usaha dan energi.

Abstract

This study aims to get an overview of the analysis of the level of understanding of students' concepts through the application of interactive conceptual learning with a multi-representation approach to work and energy concept. The research method used in this study was pre-experiment with the research design used was one-group pretest-posttest. The subjects in this study were 35 students of class X MIA 1 at one of the Sumedang Senior High Schools. This study uses a concept understanding test instrument. The results showed an increase in the level of understanding of students after getting the application of learning. The highest percentage at the MSU level of the work and energy concept in the catapult game increased by 61% while the lowest percentage increase at the MSU level was the work and energy concept in the pole jump sports application which was 51%. In general results, almost all students give positive responses to the application of interactive conceptual learning with multi-representation approaches. It can be concluded that, the application of interactive conceptual learning with a multi-representation approach can increase the level of conceptual understanding of work and energy concept.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the argumentation abilities of students in class VIII-1 in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year at SMP Negeri 57 Palembang in the material of style and motion using the Toulmin's Argumentation Pattern (TAP) model. The Toulmin argumentation model is an instrument used to process arguments presented by students which consists of 6 indicators namely Claim, Data, Warrant, Backing, Qualifier, and Rebuttal. The method used in this research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique was carried out in two stages, namely tests in the form of description questions and non-tests in the form of interviews with subject teachers. The results of the test research show that the level of students' argumentation abilities is low, where they are only at level 1 with a percentage of 58.10%, level 2 with a percentage of 30.95%, and level 3 with a percentage of 10.95% but no one is at level 4 yet and level 5. These results indicate that argumentation skills are still in the low category. The research results obtained that students have not been able to connect between material and concepts correctly. Then, learning activities carried out for some time were constrained by adjustments to the end of PPKM which had lasted for 3 years. Students are still adapting to the learning process that has begun to be carried out face-to-face. A teacher expected to be able to immediately provide the right learning process with the existing conditions
