Dalam hal untuk memperbaiki kestabilan dan mampu kendali mobil sudah dilakukan dengan menambahkan sistem kontrol pengereman (Antilock Breaking System), Traction Control System dengan kendali pembukaan katup Throttle dan pengaruh pengereman. Traction Control System pada mobil penggerak roda depan dengan menggunakan Model Predictive Control akan dibahas pada penelitian ini. Pada prinsipnya sistem kendali pengereman dan Traction Control System ini berpengangan pada slip ratio setting point pada kondisi pengereman maupun percepatan optimum.Penelitian ini akan menjelaskan analisa kestabilan Traction Control System mobil berpenggerak roda depan dengan Model Predictive Control dengan menggunakan program bantu Matlab. Untuk proses simulasi dibuat model dinamik Traction Control System secara lengkap dengan masukan Throttle Angle dan Brake Torque, serta keluaran kecepatan mobil (roda belakang), kecepatan roda depan dan slip.
Breaking Control System or Antilock Breaking System fixes stability and steer ability of the vehicle and so is Traction Control System with throttle degree control and breaking system. Traction Control System on front wheel drive of vehicle with Model Predictive Control will be discussing on this research. Breaking Control System and Traction Control System used slip ratio setting point in order to reach breaking condition and optimal speed.This research will explain about analysis of Traction Control System on front wheel drive of vehicle with Model Predictive Control, and it uses computer program such as Simulink of Matlab to simulate. This simulation made of Traction Control System dynamic model with throttle angle and brake torque as input, also vehicle speed, wheel speed and slip as output. This analysis of vehicle stability will be focus on spin wheel to decrease some slip. Front wheel velocity will be comparing with vehicle speed, to be figuring some slip of vehicle.Model Predictive Control design, which is use in this research make vehicle speed of 42 reach settling time =75 seconds. It was the fastest time of 50 seconds to cut slip ratio compare to others controllers.
