Abstract

Vibration analysis of rotor system has been widely performed by numeric method along with the development of computer technology. By the use of the technology, the analysis of the dynamic characteristic of a rotor system has been investigated. The objective of this study is to investigate the influence of shaft diameter to the dynamic characteristic of a rotor system. The investigation is conducted by using computer program simulation. The study is conducted for four system rotor models with a variation of number of disks. Each model has one rotor shaft which is numerically divided into several line elements. The simulation result shows the natural frequencies of the rotor models.

Abstract

Getaran frekuensi rendah yang terdapat pada lingkungan seperti pergerakan manusia, struktur dan bangunan sangat penting untuk dipantau. Oleh karena itu, perlu mengembangkan system pengukuran getaran tersebut dengan biaya murah dan sensitivitas yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah seismometer berbasis sensor piezoresistive yang mampu mendeteksi getaran frekuensi rendah dengan rentang 1 Hz hingga 10 Hz. Sistem sensornya menggunakan konsep batang kantilever yang dipasang sensor piezoresistive sebagai elemen mendeteksi tegangan akibat beban dari massa seismic yang bergerak bolak balik akibat tereksitasi dari sumber getar. Pengujian kinerja system sensor pada meja getar dilakukan untuk menganalisis kinerja dengan membandingkan hasilnya terhadap sensor akselerometer komersial. Pengujian validasi untuk memantau getaran struktur jembatan akibat lalu-lintas kenderaan dilakukan pada jembatan baja di Malahayati, Aceh, Indonesia. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa seismometer yang dikembangkan mempunyai kemampuan mendeteksi frekuensi rendah yang baik dan galat absolutnya tidak lebih dari 3.8% dari pembacaan sensor komersil.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to introduce and provide training on the use of Autodesk Inventor software to produce Computer-aided Design (CAD) based technical drawings according to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The method is carried out through theory, practice, and discussion, as well as completing machine design tasks independently and in groups. The training materials include working drawings, basic introduction to CAD, two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) drawing modeling, assembly, and presentation of 3D models. Evaluation of activities assessed refers to the readiness to complete the design task and the suitability of the drawings according to ISO standards. Based on the results of the basic level CAD training, there were achievements where participants had completed the technical drawing briefing material and completed the given design task. The design project task given requires mastery in terms of making 3D models from 2D sketch images, making layout drawings, making working drawings, and presenting them in a moving model presentation format. Successful completion of the task indicates that the participants understand and can operate the Autodesk Inventor software. In conclusion, this basic ability can be used as a provision for participants' self-development in the development and mastery of advanced CAD. This activity contributes based on the high interest in participating in training to the end and completing assignments and also has an indirect impact on the preparation of skilled CAD workers in the industry in Aceh.
