<![CDATA[AbstrakBudaya popular tidak hanya dapat dimaknai sebatas aparatus milik industri kapitalis yang bertujuan dalam menghasilkan konsumsi berlebih.Tetapi lebih kompleks dari itu, budaya populer juga merefleksikan suatu entitas dari masyarakat yang mengonsumsinya.Konsumsi aktif dari teks-teks popular dapat memicu produktivitas makna sosial, melahirkan progresifitas, ataupun mendorong perubahan sosial.Penelitian ini berusaha mengkaji bagaimana teks-teks popular dalam hal ini musik K-pop Shi Nyoe Shie Dae (SNSD) dan tanggapan serta artikulasi penggemarnya melahirkan dan memicu suatu dimensi alternatif yang progresif.Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis tekstual dan riset audiens sebagai metode.Hasil kajian ini membahas bagaimana (1) SNSD mencitrakan suatu perkembangan kompleks yang dapat direfleksikan sebagai perjuang mencari jati diri, solidaritas dan keteguhan diri. (2) Tanggapan dan artikulasi dari penggemar beragam, salah satu penggemar mengartikulasikan aksi panggung SNSD sebagai ironi-ironi sekaligus krtik terhadap gerekan perempuan yang cenderung superior dan massif diruang publik, tetapi melupakan permasalahan di akar rumput. Penggemar lainya melalui aktifitasnya mendengarkan SNSD ia kemudian dapat membentuk gagasannya sendiri mengenai konsumsi, identitas dan kebudayaan. Tidak hanya dalam gagasan,ia pun mengakui hasil dan proses kerjanya kurang lebih dipengaruhi oleh teks-teks SNSD.abstractPopular culture can not only be interpreted merely asapparatus of capitalist industrywhich aims to produce excess consumption. But it more complex than that, popular culture reflects an entity from the people who consume it. Active consumption of popular texts can trigger the productivity of social meaning, encrease the progressiveness, or encourage social change. This study tries to examine how popular texts in this case girlK-pop music group Shi Nyoe Shie Dae (SNSD), the fans’ responses and articulations gave birth to and triggered a progressive alternative dimension. This study uses textual analysis and audience research as method. The results of this study discuss how (1) SNSD portrays a complex development that can be reflected as a struggle for self-identity, solidarity and self-determination. (2) Responses and articulations from various fans, such as one of the fans articulated SNSD’s stage action as an irony as well as a critic of women’s movements that tend to be superior and massive in the public sphere but forget the problems at the grassroots. Then other fans through SNSD’s listening activities can form their own ideas about consumption, identity and culture.
