Abstract

Abstract: The teacher competence test is a test which is conducted to observe the competence mastery of a teacher. That mastery will be used as the basic consideration on training program and developing the professional teacher. The score of competence test of high school mathematics teacher in Riau province was 41,34, meanwhile the score of expected standard is 70. One of the factors which caused the low score was the teacher having lack of training about the problem of teacher competency test. This research is development research which aims to develop the instrument of competence test of high school mathematics teacher. Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to determine the influence of the implementation of problem solving strategy in TPS structural approach of cooperatif learning to the mathematical problem solving ability of students. This research was conducted in MTs Muhammadiyah 02 Pekanbaru on odd semester academic year 2016/2017. This is a pre-experimental research which using the Static-Group Comparison design. The population is all of students at grade VIII in MTs Muhammadiyah 02 Pekanbaru. Samlples in the research involved two groups were selected by purposive sampling technic. Class VIII4 consisting 25 students as experimental class was implemented the problem solving strategy in TPS structural approach of cooperative learning and class VIII1 consisting 28 students as control class was implemented  TPS structural approach of cooperative learning. The instrument of collecting data in this research is initial ability test and mathematical problem solving ability test. This research shows that average value of mathematical problem solving ability in the experimental class is better than the control class. It can be conclude that the application of ptoblem solving strategy in TPS structural approach of cooperatif learning positively affect the mathematical problem solving ability of students of class VIII MTs Muhammadiyah 02 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a class action research that aims to improve the learning process and to increase the student’s mathematics learning outcomes by applying Discovery Learning model. The subjects of this research are the student of class XI MIA 1 SMAN 8 Pekanbaru at second semester of academic years 2014/2015, which amounts to 35 students. This research consists of two cycles, each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collected through observation and learning outcomes test. Data analysis is done by observation data analysis and student’s mathematics learning outcomes data analysis. The action is successful if teacher’s activities and student’s activities increase in every meeting and the number of students who reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increases in every cycle. Observation data analysis showed that learning process in class XI MIA 1 SMAN 8 Pekanbaru has improved at each meeting. Student’s mathematics learning outcomes data analysis show that student’s mathematics learning increase before action and after action, that aims: (1) Amount students that reach behavior Minimum Mastery Criteria of confidence in base score is 25 students increase to 32 students at the first cycle and 35 students at the second cycle. For discipline, in base score is 29 students increase to 32 students at the first cycle and 34 students at the second cycle. For responsibility, in base score is 31 students at the first cycle and at the second cycle; (2) Amount students that reach knowledge Minimum Mastery Criteria in base score is 17 students increase to 22 students at the first cycle and 29 students at the second cycle; and (3) Amount students that reach skill Minimum Mastery Criteria in base score is 12 students increase to 16 students at the first cycle and 18 students at the second cycle. The result of this research showed that cooperative learning Discovery Learning model improve the learning process and increase the mathematics learning outcomes the students of class XI MIA 1 SMAN 8 Pekanbaru at second semester of academic years 2014/2015.Keywords: Mathematic learning outcomes, Discovery Learning, Class action research

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the influence of the implementation of problem solving strategy in mathematics learning to the mathematical problem solving ability of students. This study was conducted in SMP Negeri 26 Pekanbaru on odd semester academic year 2015/2016. This is a pre-experimental study which using the static-group comparison design. The population is all of students at grade IX in SMP Negeri 26 Pekanbaru and the number of sample in this study is 75 students. The sample was determined by using purposive sampling and random sampling tehnique, so that class IX.4 consisting of 36 students as control class and class IX.6 consisting 39 students as experimental class. The experimental class was implemented the problem solving strategy in mathematics learning, meanwhile the control class was implemented conventional learning. The data in this study consisted of qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data consisting of observation result, meanwhile the quantitative data consisting of posttest. The data was collected by using observation, test and documentation tehnique. The result showed that the problem solving strategy in mathematics learning influences the mathematical problem solving ability of students at class IX in SMP Negeri 26 Pekanbaru. Abstract

Absract: The research was classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and mathematics learning outcomes with applied the cooperative learning Think Pair Square (TPS) structural approach. The subject of the research is students of class X Motorcycle Engineering SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Kanan in the second semester academic years 2015/2016. There are 28 students in the class, consist of 20 boys who have heterogeneous academic ability. The research are two cycles. Each a cycle has four stages, that are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each end of the cycle of daily tests carried out. The instrument of data collection on this research are observation sheets and mathematics learning outcomes tests. Analysis data of observation was performed with narrative descriptive analysis and analysis data of mathematics learning outcomes was performed with descriptive statistical analysis. From the narrative descriptive analysis showed an improvement of learning process from the prior action to the first cycle and the second cycle. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning Mathematic from the basic score are 8 students with percentage 28.57 % to 10 students with percentage 35.7 % on the first test and 13 students with percentage 46.4 % on second test. Results of this research indicates that applied the cooperative learning cooperative learning think pair square structural approach can improve learning process and students' mathematics learning outcomes math class X Motorcycle Engineering SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Kanan in the second semester academic years 2015/2016.Key words: Mathematics learning outcome, Cooperative learning, Pair Check.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to improve learning process and mathematics learning outcomes students by applying of Cooperative Learning Type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD). Subjects of this research are class VII.3 students at SMP Negeri 39 Pekanbaru of 2016/2017, total number of participant are 40 whose academic achievement are heterogen. The research implemented in which consisted of phases. which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. By the end of a cycle formative test was held. Data collected through observation and test in the form of formative test. Observation is used to collect teacher and student activities during learning process, test is used to collect mathematic outcomes and will given in form formative test. The research result from the observation form shows that teacher and student activity are good after the treatment implemented. More than half students actively participated in the learning process, as discuss, presented LKS, responded to presenter group, and gave the learning conclusion. The students also tried to solve the quiz from teacher in a great manner.The number of students whose achieved basic score of KKM, formative test I (first cycle), and formativetest II (second cycle) are 16 students (40%), 19 students (47.5%) and 25 students (62,5%). This research shows that implying Student Teams Achievement Division type of cooperative model can improve learning process and increase mathematic learning evaluation for VII.3 Students at SMP Negeri 39 Pekanbaru first semester of 2016/2017 to the basic competence Do the operation on the algebra and Solve the linear equations of one variable.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve the learning process and improve students' mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of Problem Based Learning models. This type of research is Classroom Action Research with two cycles. The research was conducted in class X6 Farmasi SMKF IKASARI Pekanbaru in odd semester of the 2016/2017 academic year. The subject of this research were the students in the class X6 farmasi of SMKF IKASARI Pekanbaru that consist of 2 boys and 35 girls. The research instrument consists of learning tools and instruments to collect data. This study used syllabus, lesson plans and worksheets. Data collection instruments used in this study is the observation sheet and students’ test. Data analysis technique used are analysis descriptive narrative of qualitative data and descriptive statistical analysis of quantitative data. Based on the results of the study, the learning process has improved and students' mathematics learning outcomes also increased after applied Problem Based Learning models. So, Problem Based Learning models can be implemented as an alternative to learning, because learning approaches can improve the learning process and improve student learning outcomes.Keywords: Problem Based Learning models, Learning Process, Learning Outcomes.
