Abstract

Modernization has indeed brought about a significant change in education. Inresponse to it, education has reoriented itself in terms of its curriculum, teachingmethodology, teaching qualification, institution management, leadership managementand so on. In Indonesia efforts to modernize education are still limited to what seems tobe the mere surface of the matter. These efforts in other words, do not deal as yet withthe substance –namely the philosophical aspect- of education. KH. Hasyim Asy’ari however,is an exception. Having been thought of as a traditional scholar, he nonetheless wascapable of providing insights that might lead to a dynamization and modernization ofeducation in Indonesia. His thoughts are highly relevant to the issue of educational reform.Given that his ideas are largely conceptual and philosophical, a study that concerns itselfwith this area of investigation must pay an attention not only to his intellectual corpus butalso to those technical and operational issues that have to do with this corpus. In this waywe will have a comprehensive and balanced view of education; a view that entertains thebelief that education is there to produce man of both knowledge and morality, man thatboth knows and obeys the norms and values of society.

Abstract

Education thought of KH. M. Hasyim Asy’ari is the concept of character education, but also consistently gives positive contribution to the Indonesia civilization. Its dedication not only focuses on one field, but also on education, politic, social, religion, physical confrontation, organization, and the other intellectual works. Not only to educate young generation through Tebuireng Pesantren that was built, but for next generation, KH. M. Hasyim Asy’ari has inherited many books or holy books that able as main reference to search alternative solution of various problems thatfaced by nation. KH. M. Hasyim Asy’ari has been given fundamental conceptual framework for national education. Technical and operational steps must still be reviewed to implement the educational thinking. Figure of NU’s founding at some point want to do the balancing for education in Indonesia. Not only formality aspects, but also substanceof the meaning of education must be internalized and implemented in the life of students. In the end, Indonesia education is expected able to produce “product” that not only have cognitive intelligence (smart), but also have good virtue.keywords: Contribution, Struggle, Character Education, KH. Abstract

The intention of pesantren Tebuireng establishment in 1899 aimed to produce the Islamic scholars who have a sense of nationalism. The establishment preceded for 13 years before Nahdatul Ulama established in 1926, whereas madrasah or school was one important thing to fight for as it was considered has paramount value for the nation. Through Jihad resolution, Hasyim Asy’ari (1945) confirmed the important role of education. The fatwa asserted on October 22, 1945, constituted a proof of his contribution to education. Indonesian education was believed that it won’t be conducted as well in colonialism. Hashim Ash'ari came forth with at least twenty one inscriptions in the form of book and treatise, which was dedicated to the advancement of in Indonesian education.

Abstract

Modern life brings significant changes in education. To respond, reorientation has been done, both in terms of curriculum, learning methodology, institutional management, educator qualifications and so on. In Indonesia, many educational leaders have conveyed their ideas in this context. One of them is KH. Hasyim Ash'ari. With the background of receiving traditional education, he is able to have a clear and systemic concept in education. So it is expected that the dynamics and modernization of education in Indonesia can be realized. By examining thirteen books written directly by KH. Hasyim Asy'ari, this study concludes that KH thought. Hasyim Asy'ari proved to be of great relevance in supporting the reform process of education in Indonesia, especially in giving the output of students character that is not only intelligently cognitive (pinter), but also concern for the society around (bener). However, it needs to be studied more deeply about the implementation and operational framework of KH thinking. Hashim Ash'ari, since it is still philosophical-theoretical.

Abstract

Modern society succeeded in developing science and advanced technology to solve life problem. However, it is also not able to grow akhlaq al-karimah. This paper looks for solutions to overcome the tragedy of modern society by focusing the study on the effort to integrate science with religion, through the concept of Islamization of science, born out of a dichotomous concept between religion and science developed by the West and the culture of modern society. The development of science in Islam not only believes in the truths of human senses, logic and ethics, but also acknowledges and believes transcendental truths (Divinity). This suggests that the Islamic conception of science is integral to ethics and morals. Islam does not accept the secularization of science from value or science of virtue (wisdom). The way in which operational normative concepts become objective and empirical is the syntactic and analytic approach. While the model of Islamization saisn which can be developed in looking at the era of globalization is a model of Purification, Modernization of Islam model and Neo-Modernist model. The Islamization of this science may only be done well if a permanent facility or container is available in the form of an Islamic educational institution, especially at the university level.

Abstract

Organizing the corpse into an even-grade semester XI PAI material, including bathing, memorizing, praying and burying. With this material, students are expected to be able to explain, demonstrate and apply the procedures for organizing bodies in their daily lives. But the facts in the field show that the learning method is still dominated by lectures and question and answer. This fact makes students easily bored while studying in class. This paper is the best practice experienced by the author when delivering material for organizing the corpse at SMAN 1 Jombang in the academic year 2017/2018 even in the XI-IPS-3 class. Dadar Berpajero stands for Demonstration, Learning to Care for People's Bodies. At first, PAI learning in the XI-IPS-3 class was dominated by lectures and question and answer. At the next meeting the demonstration method was used. Changes in this learning strategy provide significant results. Through Dadar Berbajero, teachers are easier to provide learning material. The learning atmosphere becomes more interesting and fun to be the main attraction for students to take part in the learning process until it's finished. The use of Dadar Berbajero on PAI has impacted the enthusiasm of students and their learning outcomes are also above the KKM. Positive responses were also given by the school community, starting with the principal, the board of teachers, employees and students
