Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and to increase mathematics outcomes by applied the learning model of Problem Based Learning. The subject of this research is students in VII3 class of SMPN 8 Pekanbaru in academic years 2017/2018, which amounted to 36 students, consist of 17 boys and 19 girls. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students Mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative descriptive, while the students mathematic tests were analyzed in statistic quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process from before the action to the first and second cycle. Most of students were very confidenced and actived in learning process, such as while they were finished mathemathic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning.The results of this research showed the number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) for knowledge increase from the basic score (38,89%) to (55,56%) at the first test and to (72,20%) at the second test. For the skills, the score increase from (55,56%) at the first test, to (69,44%) at the second test. The results of this research showed that appication of the learning model of Problem Based Learning can improve learning process and increase mathematics outcomes for students in VII3 class of SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaruin academic years 2017/2018 for the subject matter Algebra Operations and Functions.Keywords : Mathematics Outcomes, Problem Based Learning

Abstract

Abstract: This study is motivated by the results of the study of mathematics students classified as very low, from 28 students only 13 students who achieved more than or equal to 70 in KKM or only 46.4%. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of students with mathematics learning TPS model in the fourth grade at SDN 80 Bumbung. The type of the research is Classroom Action Research, which conducted in two cycles with using the observation sheet of teachers and students activities and daily tests, which analyzed by descriptive qualitative, while the daily tests will be analyzed with analysis of mastery learning math, and a frequency distribution analysis. The results of this research showed an increase in students' mathematics learning outcomes from above KKM on the basic score there were 13 students (46.4%), the first daily test increased to 19 students (67.9%), and the daily tests II increased again to 23 students (82.1%). It conclude that the application of the teaching TPS model in fourth grade SDN 80 Bumbung can improve the process of learning and improve the students' mathematics learning outcomes. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve the learning process and improve learning outcomes mathematics of the fourth-c grade students of SDN 30 Duri Barat Kecamatan Mandau by implementing cooperative learning type TSTS. The subjects were students of class fourth-c grade whom have heterogeneous academic ability. This research is a class act with two cycles. Each cycle has three times and one UH in every end cycle and has four stages, the stages are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the research show the observation sheet activities of teacher and students have done after the action. The increasing  number of students who achieve at UH KKM in the end of every cycle compared to the number of students who achieve a score a KKM on basic score. This results of this study indicate that the application of cooperatif learning type TSTS can improve the process learning and improve the learning outcomes of the fourth-c grade students of SDN 30 Duri Barat Kecamatan Mandau in the odd semester academic year 2013/2014. Key words : Learning process, Mathematic learning outcomes, Cooperative learning, TSTS, Classroom action research.
