Abstract

Abstract : The identification of the problem revealed that one of the factors that affect the long jump results were less than satisfactory hang style not associated with the explosive power leg muscle. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of the leg muscles explosive power with a long jump result graders style hanging VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tempuling Tempuling Indragiri Hilir district. This research is a correlational study with a population of 31 people. Samples with only the number of male students 20 people.From the analysis of the data shows the data are normally distributed, so that the correlation formula is all the even correlation. From the calculation, it is known that there is a significant correlation between the variables x and y variables. based on the results of this study concluded that there is a significant relationship between the explosive power leg muscle leg with the results of the long jump squat style, where the level of α = 00:05 obtained t = 3.42> t table = 2.10 as Ho rejected and Ha accepted. Relationship variable X to Y vairabel be categorized and counted 0.628 r> r table = 0.440 obtained.Keywords: explosive power leg muscle, the result of a long jump hang style
