Abstract: The Performance of The Kantor Pertanahan in the Service of the Land Rights Certificate Registration Field (A Study in the Kantor Pertanahan of Batu). This study is conducted on the basis of the land problems in the Kantor Pertanahan of Batu that have not had the certificate. People are still reluctant to manage their land certificate as the pre sumption that the cost of land certificate clearance is very expensive. And presumption that the prosess of certificate clereance is complicated and taking a long time. Those problems should be handled immediately reminding that how important the existence of the land right certificate for the people, to give the law certainty. Therefore, it is needed a role of the government officials through the performance of public service so that there is olderly land administration. The result of the study shows that the performance of Kantor Pertanahan of Batu in giving the service of the land right certificate registration field is good. It can be seen from the easeness of procedure, the clarity of the service terms, the timeliness, the cost clarity, and attitude officers’ in giving the service of the land right certificate registration. Penelitian ini dilakukan atas dasar adanya permasalahan pertanahan pada Kantor Pertanahan Kota Batu, yaitu banyak tanah di Kota Batu yang belum memiliki sertipikat. Masyarakat masih enggan mengurusi sertipikat karena ada anggapan biaya pengurusan sertipikat tanah sangat mahal. Serta anggapan proses pengurusan sertipikat rumit dan membutuhkan waktu lama. Permasalahan tersebut seharusnya segera ditangani mengingat betapa pentingnya akan keberadaan sertipikat hak atas tanah bagi masyarakat guna memberikan kepastian hukum. Untuk itu dibutuhkan peran dari aparatur pemerintahan melalui kinerja pelayanan publik agar terselenggaranya tertib administrasi pertanahan. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja Kantor Pertanahan Kota Batu dalam memberikan pelayanan pendaftaran sertipikat hak atas tanah sudah dapat dikatakan baik. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari kemudahan prosedur, kejelasan persyaratan, ketepatan waktu, kejelasan biaya, dan sikap pegawai dalam memberikan pelayanan pendaftaran sertipikat hak atas tanah.  Kata kunci: Kinerja pelayanan
