Abstract

Abstract: Analysis of the Level of Online Public Access Catalog User Satisfaction (Study on Perpustakaan Universitas Ma Chung). Library user needs a means of information retrieval which is called Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) to make it faster in searching books that are belong to a library. OPAC system needs to be known because a technology can be said well if the user is satisfied with what is offered by the technology itself by reason of "End-user satisfaction against the information system is a measure of the success of information systems”. The result of the study shows that OPAC provided in the library of Ma Chung University in terms of both hardware and software were still considered unfavorable. The software of OPAC still had error during the retrieval process, then in terms of hardware, the computers used to run OPAC sometimes there were "hang". There were some obtacles on the utilization of OPAC at the Library of Ma Chung University by users, they were the OPAC application itself could not be said perfect yet to operate, and there were some users who had less knowledge related to utilization of OPAC for searching information of library collection.   Keyword: Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS)   Abstrak: Analisis Tingkat Kepuasaan Pengguna Pengguna Online Public Access Catalog (studi di Perpustakaan Universitas Ma Chung). Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) dibutuhkan oleh pengguna perpustakaan untuk mempercepat menemukan buku yang dimiliki oleh perpustakaan. Sistem OPAC perlu dilihat karena suatu teknologi informasi dapat dikatakan baik apabila pengguna merasa puas dengan apa yang ditawarkan oleh teknologi informasi itu sendiri karena “Kepuasan pengguna akhir sistem informasi merupakan salah satu tolak ukur keberhasilan sistem informasi”. Hasil penelitian menunjukan OPAC yang tersedia di Perpustakaan Universitas Ma Chung memiliki kekurangan dari segi software maupun hardware. Software OPAC masih dapat mengalami kesalahan penelusuran atau error di tengah proses pencarian, kemudian dari segi hardware, komputer yang digunakan untuk menjalankan OPAC terkadang mengalami “hang” atau macet. Kendala yang ditemukan dalam pemanfaatan OPAC di Perpustakaan Universitas Ma Chung oleh pengguna yaitu aplikasi OPAC belum dapat dikatakan sempurna untuk dioperasikan karena masih mengalami kesalahan penelusuran, serta ada pengguna OPAC yang memiliki pengetahuan kurang atau belum mahir dalam memanfaatkan OPAC untuk menelusur informasi koleksi perpustakaan.   Kata Kunci: Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), Kepuasan pengguna akhir komputer
