Abstract

In some sub-district in Semarang ubiquitous home household industry in the field of embroidery fabrics and the like, although quite large in number and spread out, but the existing potential has not been developed to the maximum. From field observations of potential home household scale industries in the field of embroidery in the area of Semarang has not been touched by technological advances design by utilizing IT (computer) and software applications to enrich the embroidery design. Based on surveys and direct interviews in several home industries in the field of embroidery are scattered in the region Semarang, that the problems faced can be grouped into three aspects, namely the facilities improvement of HR (human resources) that is knowledgeable about technology upgrading areas of the embroidery design, facilities and equipment, and management production in the field of embroidery where all three aspects are interrelated. This activity aims to answer the problems that exist, namely the training and tutorials embroidery design techniques with computer technology and its application. Improve the manufacturing facilities in the form of embroidery designs embroidery design software applications and the software application tool. Target outcomes that could result from this activity are: 1) Meyelenggarakan training and tutorials on the techniques of embroidery designs with computer technology, 2) Generate a variety of design styles of embroidery rocky computers, 3) pattern model of business management field of the embroidery professionally managed which can improve product in quality and quantity, 4) Improving synergies between universities and the business community in Semarang, 5) Resulting scientific articles in national journals in the context of publication of the results of activitie.

Abstract

Arester petir (lightning arrester) merupakan alat pengaman yang sempurna diantara alat pengaman surja petir lainnya, karena mampu memutus arus susulan (follow current) dan memiliki protective ratio yang tinggi. Arester ini tersusun dari dua elemen yang saling dihubung seri dan kedua elemen itu adalah sela api (spark gap) dan resistans non linier. Dalam koordinasi isolasi suatu sistem tenaga listrik, arester ini sebagai kunci pokok, artinya jika surja petir mencapai gardu induk maka arester bekerja untuk melepas muatan listrik serta mengurangi tegangan abnormal yang akan mengenai peralatan yang ada dalam gardu induk. Karakter dari arester adalah mampu melakukan arus surja dalam waktu lama atau yang terjadi berulang-ulang tanpa menaikan suhunya juga dapat membatasi tegangan lebih.

Abstract

Untuk menilai tingkat kesuburan tanah dinas pertanian masih menggunakan cara manual dengan menebak data hasil analisis tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan sistem prediksi tingkat kesuburan tanah yang menerapkan metode analytical hierarchy process untuk memprediksi tingkat kesubutan tanah. Sistem prediksi tingkat kesuburan tanah ini dikembangkan dengan menggunan model waterfall yang terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu tahap analisis, tahap desain, tahap kode dan tahap pengujian. aplikasi untuk prediksi tingkat kesuburan tanah ini menggunakan metode AHP dengan menggunakan 7 kriteria. Pembuatan sistem prediksi tingkat kesuburan tanah ini menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP, framework yii dna database MySQL. Pengujian sistem menggunakan uji blackbox, pengujian aspek portability dan uji validasi kelayakan sistem yang dilakukan di Dinas Pertanian. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian dapat dinyatakan bahwa sistem prediksi tingkat kesuburan tanah dapat berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan desain rancangan. Selain itu sistem prediksi tingkat kesuburan tanah dapat digunakan sebagai aplikasi untuk prediksi tingkat kesuburan tanah dengan beberapa penambahan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the improvement of student learning outcomes using the GI compared to students who use the learning with lectures in knowing the functions of Microsoft Excel menu and icons. The method used is a method of quantitative experiments. The study population was class VIII SMP N 15 Semarang year 2015/2016. The research sample is selected by purposive sampling, the chosen class is a class I as an experimental class VIII and VIII F as the control class. The results showed an average of learning outcomes experimental class 78.75 and control class 71.75. The conclusions in this penelitiam is the value of student learning outcomes in the classroom experiments using model GI-assisted e-modules in the basic competencies identify the function menu and icons microsoft excel increased better than the value of learning outcomes in the control class with a lecture. Suggestions in this study, GI-assisted learning method e-modules can be recommended to improve student learning outcomes for GI to make students more active and e-modules can be a student guide that facilitates the learning process.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktvitas siswa dan hasil belajar siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran SAVI berbantuan Flash. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experimental Design yang mengggunakan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Pretest Post-test. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes pilihan ganda dan lembar observasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan t-test dan uji gain. Dari hasil pengamatan aktivitas siswa kelas eksperimen tahap I sebesar 68,55% (baik) naik menjadi 83,46% (sangat baik). Sedangkan analisis data rata-rata nilai hasil kelas eksperimen dari 75,3 naik menjadi 83,3. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran SAVI berbantuan Flash efektif dan mampu meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Adanya Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional Nomor 22 Tahun 2011 tentang Terbitan Berkala Ilmiah, dan Surat Edaran Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia Nomor 152/E/T/ bulan Januari 2012 tentang kewajiban publikasi karya ilmiah diantaranya adalah kewajiban mahasiswa S1 untuk membuat artikel dan menerbitkannya di jurnal ilmiah. Selama ini artikel yang ditulis oleh mahasiswa dengan dibimbing oleh dosen pembimbing skripsi atau penguji skripsi belum secara utuh memenuhi standar yang ada. Banyak terjadi ketidaksesuaian penulisan yang ditulis mahasiswa. Hal ini pun akan lebih menyusahkan dan terjadinya proses panjang baik bagi mahasiswa maupun pihak pengelola jurnal ilmiah prodi (E-Journal prodi). Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini ialah agar: (1). Peserta pelatihan dapat memahami tata cara penulisan artikel ilmiah, (2). Peserta pelatihan mampu melakukan penulisan karya ilmiah, (3). Peserta pelatihan dapat memahami kaidah selingkung e-journal program studi dilingkungan jurusan Teknik Elektro Unnes.Hasil: (1) Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan penulisan artikel ilmiah untuk e-journal mahasiswa jurusan teknik elektro FT Unnes telah dilaksanakan dengan hasil baik dengan kenaikan skor rata-rata test sebesar 20% dan penguasaan teori dengan kategori Sangat Baik sebesar 30% dan Baik sebesar 70%, (2).Khalayak sasaran antara yang dipilih dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini mempunyai semangat yang tinggi untuk mengikuti semua kegiatan sampai selesai dan dinilai mampu untuk menularkan pengetahuannya pada orang lain.

Abstract

In this experimental study, AR book app is used to improve student learning outcome of kindergarten in animals introduction subject. AR book app is an application based on Augmented Reality (AR) technology that adapts the kindergarten curriculum in Indonesia. AR book app has included 3D view and animals video. 3D based learning makes it easy for students to visualize learning materials and video-based learning to makes students give attention when learning activity. In a field experiment at kindergarten, 111 kindergarten students were divided into two groups participated in the learning activity that using different learning media. The two groups were group A and group B. Group A is an experimental group which taught using Augmented Reality (AR) book app. Group B is control group which taught using group note methods. Experimental result showed that students’ performance in learning improved significantly by using Augmented Reality (AR) book app media. In this study, students indicated that the experimental group learning outcome is better than the control group.

Abstract

The term technical and vocational education is introduced in the Law No. 20 of2003 on National Education System. The concept of technical and vocationaleducation emphasizes on education which ensures that students have a specificexpertise and job. The government hopes that graduates of a technical and vocationaleducation become work forces who have life skills which are relevant to the jobmarket demand. In order to realize the expectation quality improvement ontechnical and vocational education is needed. Some issues which have to be takeninto account regarding the quality improvement of technical and vocationaleducation are that: (1) the administrartion must be supported by the administratingorganization, local and central government, (2) the curriculum is competencebased,(3) the administration is developed in line with the local potentials, (4) andthe administration must involve business/industry. The success of theadministration of technical and vocational education will lessen the state'seconomical burden. On the contrary, if it fails, it will increase the number ofunemployment which will worsen the state's economy.Kata kunci: kualitas pendidikan, pendidikan vokasi, kejuruan

Abstract

Perkembangan jumlah pengguna smartphone sudah merambah di kalangan siswa. Hal ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pendukung proses pembelajaran. Penggunaan media merupakan salah satu komponen metode untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan observasi di SMK Sultan Trenggono Kota Semarang, media pembelajaran masih terbatas pada slide show power point yang monoton, e-book, dan LKS (Lembar Kerja Siswa) atau buku-buku teks lainnya yang dinilai kurang memenuhi kelayakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) pengembangan media, (2) kelayakan media dan; (3) penilaian kemudahan dan kemanfaatan penggunaan media oleh siswa dan guru. Mobile learning didefinisikan sebagai model pembelajaran menggunakan perangkat IT (information technology) genggam dan bergerak. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah 4-D (Four D Models), yaitu: define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan), dan disseminate (penyebaran). Berdasarkan penilaian kelayakan oleh validator media menunjukkan bahwa: aplikasi mendapat penilaian sebesar 86,93% dari ahli media dan 87% dari ahli materi. Sedangkan hasil uji coba menunjukkan nilai kemudahan dan kemanfaatan penggunaan aplikasi sebesar 87,5% oleh guru dan 82,27% oleh siswa. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa media sangat layak untuk digunakan, mudah, dan bermanfaat dalam proses pembelajaran. AbsctractThe growth number of smartphone users has penetrated among the students. This can be used as a supporting media of the learning process. The use of media is one component method to achieve learning objectives. Based on the observations at SMK Sultan Trenggono Kota Semarang, the learning media is still limited to the monotonous power point slide show, e-book, and LKS (student worksheet) or other textbooks that are considered less feasibile. This study aims to determine: (1) media development, (2) media feasibility, and (3) assessment of ease and usefulness of media usage by students and teachers. Mobile learning is defined as a learning model using IT (information technology) handheld and mobile devices. The development model used is 4-D (Four D Models), which are: define, design, develop, and disseminate. Based on the feasibility assessment by the media validator shows that: the application received an assessment is 86.93% of media experts and 87% of material experts. While the test results show the value of ease and usefulness of application usage is 87.5% by teachers and 82.27% by students. This shows that the media is very feasible to use, easy, and useful in the learning process.
