Abstract

Coping with stress exercise program is one form of mental health services, community-based youthheld at the school. The purpose of this study is to get a view of the influence of coping with stressexercise program against the risk of suicide among adolescents in junior high school love of Depok.Design research is a "Quasi-experimental pre-post test with control group." The sample is a clustersampling technique with a sample size of 56 junior high school adolescent students. This programaims to train youth to have self-defense capability so that when the stress remains at a low levelwithout destructive behavior. Risk of suicide in adolescents measured by using AdolesenceDepression Rating Scale (ADRS) and then analyzed using statistics. The results showed a reducedrisk of suicide significantly in the group of teenagers who were trained compared with those whowere not trained (p-value <0.05). Coping with stress exercise program in adolescents, it isrecommended to be done in order for mental health services in the community as a form of schoolbasedmental health services

Abstract

The increasing of juvenile aggressive behavior in Malendeng penitentiary house of Manado city is cause by their incapable to solve their problems. Juvenile inmates are mostly easy get irritated when being humiliate by bad words or mocking done by fellow inmate and burst into anger when being provoked and also no remorse is shown when doing a mistake. The inmate will very much angry when their will is being against, they felt worthless and stubborn, and there’s grudge and urge to take revenge for bad things happen to other around them. Type of this research is experimental research with vague treatment design (Quasi Experimental), by pre-test and post-test group design. Number of sample is 50 respondents which being choose with a simple random sampling. Measurement of aggressive behavior alteration is using Agitated Behavior Scale (ABS) questioner from Ohio State University in Colombus. This analysis is using T test assessment. The result of analysis on aggressive behavior in pre-test shows that 36 respondents (72%) experiencing mid aggression while within penitentiary house and 6 respondents (12%) experiencing heavy aggression. After giving a mental guidance to those juvenile inmates, a significant change occurs. This being found in post-test result which shows 46 respondents (92%) not experiencing aggression and only small part of them which is 4 respondents (8%) still experiencing mild aggression while mid and heavy aggression is being solved. Conclusion of statistic assessment result of T test then point out a hypothetical result P= 0, 00 < 0, 05 which means Ha is accepted. This result then reveals the effect giving a mental guidance to juvenile inmates toward to declining aggressive behavior. Suggestion that hopefully the juvenile inmates in Malendeng penitentiary house of Manado city, can apply the mental guidance given to them

Abstract

Depression is a very deepened sorrow feeling seriously that happened on prisoner as a result from convicted criminal. This sorrow feeling caused prisoner experienced it life means, hopelessness feel and have not motivation and avoided by families or the other. Convicted prisons action in the Country House Detention II A class Malendeng of Manado on 2012 year as amount as 3390 prisoner. By the mounth January until to February 2013 year as much as 529 prisoner and 50 persons (9,5%), Consisted to robbing case. Aims this research is to identification of relationship between depression with long terms periode of prisoner detention. Research design is analytic description with cross sectional study approach to describe and identification of there is relationship between depression with long term periode prisoner detention. Population is all of prisoner with robbing case. Sample obtained technic is total sampling that meet a demand inclusive criteria and exclusive criteria as a mount 50 persons. Data taking using with questioner by The Burns Depression. Data analysis result founded that the prisoner ages as muchly between 15-30 years amount 44% with men sexual amount 84% and education level SMP as much 50%. Detention long terms periode between 1-2 years as amount 44%. Most of prisoner experienced moderate depression as much 56%, severe depression 16%, and most of a bit mild depression as much 14 persons (28%). Statistic test result using chi-square, founded that pValue= 0,000<α 0,05, that means there was significantly relationship between depression with prisoner detention long term periode in Country House Detention Malendeng II A Class of Manado
