Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of this research was to investigate the performance of young Edible-nest Swiftlet (Collocalia fuciphaga) fed (Aerophylla smaragdina), cricket (Brachytrypes membranaceus) and diet combinations of 33% cricket, 34% kroto and 33% of commercial diet/BR1. The observation was started from the bird hatches until it fledges. Experiment design used was completely randomized design with three treatments and four replications; each of the replications consists of ten young Edible-nest Swiftlet (Collocalia fuciphaga). The treatments were 100% kroto, 100% cricket and diet combinations of of 33% cricket (Brachytrypes membranaceus), 34% kroto and 33% of commercial diet/BR1. The variables measured were feed consumption, body weight, feed conversion and total loss. Results showed that, there were insignificant effects of feeding kroto, cricket and diet combinations of 33% cricket, 34% kroto and 33% of commercial diet/BR1 on live performance of young Edible-nest Swiftlet, observed from the bird hatches until it fledges. By the end of the observation, one young Edible-nest Swiftlet (Collocalia fuciphaga) survived.Keywords: young edible-nest swiftlet (Collocalia fuciphaga) , kroto and cricket.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian mengevaluasi pengaruh berbagai madia feses dari sapi kaur yang diberi pakan rumput setaria dan pelepah sawit terhadap biomassa  cacing tanah dan kualitas vermikompos cacing tanah.  Pemberian media 50% serbuk gergaji + 50% feses sapi Kaur yang diberi pakan (50%  rumput setaria + 50% pelepah sawit + sakura blok) memberikan dampak positif terhadap produksi biomassa cacing tanah Pheretima sp, kualitas casting, dan tidak memberikan dampak  terhadap penyusutan sarang cacing tanah.Kata kunci: media, feces, sapi Kaur, biomass dan vermicompos cacing

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ampas tahu sebagai campuran pakan terhadap pertumbuhan cacing tanah Pheretima sp. Lokasi penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kota Bengkulu dan Laboratorium Peternakan Universitas Bengkulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metotede Rancangan Acak Lengakap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakauan serta 5 ulangan: (P1) =  Sekam padi 50% + Feses sapi 50% + (0% ampas tahu), (P2) =  Sekam padi 50%+Feses sapi 45% + (5% ampastahu), (P3) =  Sekam padi 50% + Feses sapi 40% + (10% ampas tahu), (P4) =  Sekam padi 50% + Feses sapi 35% + (15% ampas tahu). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pemberian pakan campuran ampas tahu pada media cacing tanah Pheretima sp berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhap pertumbuhan bobot induk cacing tanah Pheretima sp dan berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap bobot badan anak per unit pemeliharaan serta berbeda nyata (P<0,05) terhadap rataan bobot badan anak per ekor. Kata kunci: ampas tahu, campuran pakan, pertumbuhan, cacing tanah Pheretima sp.
