Abstract

Immunization is one way to improve one's immunity to be active and able to prevent certain diseases, such as hepatitis B immunization zero to prevent hepatitis. Healthy Indonesia 2010 is targeting that 80 % of babies in the whole village/ villages in Indonesia have received hepatitis B immunization. Hepatitis B immunization coverage at Mangkang Health Center in 2010 was 83.53 %. However, hepatitis B immunization coverage (H1) in Semarang City in 2010 was 23.03 %, and the figure is still far from the target set by the Healthy Indonesia 2010. This study was conducted to describe the relationships of mother's knowledge and attitudes with hepatitis B immunization practices (H1) in Mangunharjo Village, Mangkang Health Center. The benefit of this research can be regarded as a source of information for researchers, health professionals, educational institutions, and the public about the importance of immunization with hepatitis B (H1) in infants. The presented study was a descriptive study, using a questionnaire for data collection. The population of this study is all mothers of infants aged 8 days to 6 months in Mangunharjo Village. Sampling method was used to recruit a sample of 50 mothers. The variables were levels of knowledge and attitudes of mothers on immunization hepatitis B (H1) for the baby. The results showed that most mothers had a secondary education level. The level of knowledge of mothers on immunization hepatitis B (H1) in Mangunharjo Village was high, which meant that the majority of mothers knew about immunization program of Hepatitis B (H1). The mother's attitudes in hepatitis B immunization (H1)for infants and for babies in the village were also very positive. Chi Square test found an association of maternal attitudes and practices of immunization of Hepatitis B (H1) (p value 0.05).

Abstract

Elderly in 2025 will reach 1.2 billion, of which 1 billion are in developing countries, including Indonesia (Nugroho, 2000). Life expectancy in Indonesia (UHH) is expected to increase from 66.2 years in 2004 to 70.6 years in 2009. And in 2010 estimated the population of elderly (seniors) in Indonesia, amounting to 24 million people or 9.77% of the total population. Objectives determine the effect of Benson relaxation techniques to meet the needs of sleep in the elderly in the city of Semarang Srondol Health Center. Quasy research used experimental research with pretest - posttes with control group design. Elderly population in this study are listed in IHC Health Center Srondol elderly in the city of Semarang. Sample required is 30 (thirty) people. Univariate and Bivariate analysis of quantitative data collection was performed on 30 elderly respondents with sleep disturbances, while giving them questions to respondents in the form of 41 questions with answers that are already available .Discussion of the results of research based on the results of Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test of the overall sample (30 respondents aged) scores are rising, while pre-test needs sleep categories are as many as 19 people (63.3%), while post-test after the treatment of 19 elderly people to be good ( 63.3%), at the time of pre-test category ugly 11 elderly people (36.7%), the treatment time to 11 people were elderly (36.7%) no significant difference before treatment with the need to sleep after perlakuann which is based on test results wilkokson at the significance level get 0:00. That no effect of Benson relaxation training with a religious approach to the reduction of insomnia disorders. Conclusions based on this study concluded that the reduction in the higher rate of insomnia in the experimental group compared with the control group, then after a given experimental treatment group experienced decreased levels of insomnia. Posyandu suggestions elderly in Puskesmas Srondol expected berpartitisipatif in the management of insomnia by teaching relaxation techniques benson. Society (the elderly) are given enough information about insomnia (sleep disorders), and combating insomnia with therapies benson

Abstract

This study is to determine the effect of the use of interactive CD media to the level of understanding of teaching anatomy and physiology of eye. This is a quasi experiment research with pre and post test control grouph design. The number of samples in this study is 79 people. The data were processed with t-test to determine the differences in physiological anatomy score between groups before treatment, the difference in the value between groups after treatment, the difference in value before and after treatment in both groups and the difference in the average increase in the value of physiological anatomy after the treatment between groups. The results of the t test for differences in anatomy physiology score before the treatment between groups (p=0.53), the difference in value between groups after treatment (p=0:03),the difference in value before and after treatment in both groups (p=0.00) and the average difference in the increase in value physiological anatomy after the treatment between groups (p=0.023 ). In conclusion, the treatment group had a greater understanding of the level compared with the control group.
