Abstract

[Bahasa]: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu menguatkan kesadaran peran perempuan setempat dalam kehidupan sosial melalui pemberdayaan bidang wirausaha, pendidikan dan ketrampilan (life skill). Adapun strategi yang digunakan adalah: Pertama, yaitu melakukan mapping sosial dengan cara silaturrahmi atau kunjungan ke rumah-rumah, sehingga diketahui aktifitas sehari-hari mereka dan berbagai persoalan yang dihadapi didukung dengan transeks (telusur wilayah). Kedua, perencanaan program yaitu bersama-sama menentukan rencana kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan untuk menyelesaikan persoalan-persoalan yang telah terumuskan. Ketiga pelaksanaan program. Keempat, evaluasi program, yaitu mengetahui seberapa jauh hasil yang telah dicapai dalam pelaksanaan program. Kegiatan Pelatihan cukup berhasil, walaupun dari jumlah beserta hanya tidak sebanyak yang telah direncanakan akan tetapi jumlah pertanyaan yang muncul selama diskusi cukup banyak. Pada peserta sangat antusius dengan pelatihan yang dilakukan oleh tim pengabdian. Kata Kunci: penguatan, kesadaran, peran perempuan

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the traditional Islamic practice of Nahdlatul Wathan (NW) in positioning and attaching the religious authority of Tuan Guru or Kyai, which is being challenged by the Salafi purification movement. This also determines the efforts needed to desacralize this authority by the Salafi elite who united by the perception that the sacredness of certain people, including Tuan Guru, is unknown in Islam, and even contradicts Islamic teachings with claims based on the salaf manhaj. Data collected was based on the phenomena from the ideological contestation at the elite level of the two religious groups that affect the pattern of religion and the internal interaction of religious people in Lombok. It was then analyzed using the contestation theory framework operationally formulated by Antje Winner. Based on empirical tendencies, the result showed that the desacralization of religious authority is not solely influenced by theological factors of religious understanding rather by the struggle for the religious authority of religious elites in the public sphere. This indicates the increase in the number of Salafi preachers who carry the purification theme in various mosques and Majlis Taklim, the higher the probability of seeing educational institutions as a new challenge for Tuan Guru to maintain religious authority. The implication is that there is social fragmentation and conflict involving sectarian sentiments of religious groups, where the contestation of religious elites contributes.

Abstract

Indicators of state progress can be measured based on the level of progress in the field of education. At present there is an inequality of quality in the world of Indonesian education, one of which is in Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs). From the data the researchers obtained, the number of private MTs dominated compared to public MTs, but their existence was not. However, in West Lombok there are several private MTs that have a good image and therefore have a good existence, including the Integrated Islamic School (SIT), natural madrasah, and tahfizul Qur'an. This study aims to determine branding carried out in Modern Islamic Schools, and what are the issues related to the implementation of branding in modern Islamic schools. The research method used is library research. The results of this study are, 1) Institutions make school characteristics. Then it was found that SDIT collaborated between science and tahfiz al-Qur'an and used public relations management. Madrasah Alam develops project-based learning with an independent learning pattern. And Tahfizul Qur'an, which makes a superior program by memorizing the Al-Qur'an, 2). Issues related to the branding of modern Islamic schools, namely students are positioned in a market orientation so that education is no longer based on knowledge and the talent needs of students, and there is a financing gap in the world of Islamic Education. Keywords: Branding, Modern Islamic School, Integrated Islamic School, Madrasah Alam, Tahfizul Qur'an Abstrak: Indikator kemajuan negara dapat diukur berdasarkan tingkat kemajuannya dalam bidang pendidikan. Saat ini terjadi ketidakmerataan kualitas dalam dunia Pendidikan Indonesia, salah satunya ada pada madrasah tsanawiyah (MTs). Dari data yang peneliti dapatkan, jumlah MTs swasta mendominasi dibandingkan dengan MTs Negeri, namun tidak dengan eksistensinya. Akan tetapi, di Lombok Barat ada beberapa MTs swasta yang memiliki image yang bagus sehingga memiliki eksistensi yang baik, diantaranya yaitu Sekolah Islam Terpadu (SIT), madrasah alam, dan tahfizul Qur’an. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui branding yang dilakukan di Sekolah Islam Modern, dan Apa isu terkait dengan pelaksanaan branding di sekolah Islam modern. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi Pustaka. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah, 1) Lembaga membuat ciri khas sekolah. Kemudian ditemukan bahwa SDIT mengolaborasikan antara sains dengan tahfiz al-qur’an dan menggunakan manajemen public relationship. Madrasah Alam mengembangkan pembelajaran berbasiskan proyek dengan pola merdeka belajar. Dan Tahfizul Qur’an, yang membuat program unggulan dengan menghafalkan Al-Qur’an, 2). Isu-isu terkait branding sekolah Islam modern yaitu peserta  didik  diposisikan  pada  orientasi  pasar  sehingga  pendidikan  bukan  lagi  berbasis  keilmuan  dan  kebutuhan bakat peserta didik, dan adanya kesenjangan pembiayaan dalam dunia Pendidikan Islam.  
IDEOLOGICAL TRAP IN EDUCATION: Rivalry Discourse on Islamic Literatures in NW and Salafi Schools in Lombok Saparudin Saparudin

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the ideological contestation between the Nahdlatul Wathan (NW) as a local Islamic group and Salafis as a transnational Islamic group in the Islamic literature, which is utilized as teaching materials in NW and Salafi schools. The rivalry between these two religious groups become a novel phenomenon in Lombok together with the increasing influence of the Salafi group. The success of Salafis in promoting the manhaj salaf, which in many ways contradicts the Aswaja promoted by NW in Islamic practice, has implications for the strengthening of the ideological content in Islamic textbooks in their respective schools. Based on the identification of literature books utilized as teaching materials, as analyzed based on the contestation theory by Antje Wiener and apparatuses of ideology theory by Louis Althusser, this study argues that religious literature used as teaching materials in Islamic schools is an instrument of ideological trapping of religious groups to generate apparatuses of ideology to win the contestation. The teaching materials contain negation of one another, mono-interpretation, and misleading one another. Finally, students only accept particular religious understandings indoctrination without being taught to think critically regarding different religious perspectives. In this context, a state polyce is needed to makesure that the higher order thinking skills of students have been developing, rather than ideological traping of certain Islamic group.
