Abstract

Pudak Subdistrict, Ponorogo Regency, East Java, is a fertile place for the growth of the group of believers. However, currently, the existence of these groups in Pudak is decreasing drastically, even though these groups have many positive teachings to strengthen the character of the Indonesian nation. This research, which uses a sociological approach, shows that there are only three groups of believers left in Pudak District, Ponorogo Regency, namely the Purwa Ayu Mardi Utama, Ilmu Sejati and Perjalanan. They spread across four villages, including Pudak Kulon, Pudak Wetan, Bareng and Banjarjo. Only the Purwa Ayu still has many followers, while the other two groups are almost extinct. One of the factors is that the Purwa Ayu association consistently socializes to the community. On the other hand, there is still discrimination against followers of the group of believers in Pudak Ponorogo, so that their followers often hide their identities. This Discrimination certainly hinders the development of the groups of believers.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find the structure of Surah Al-Muzammil so that it can be seen whether the verses in it are coherent. This research method uses analysis, namely, to process data and answer research problems. The approach used in this literature research is Semitic Rhetorical Analysis (SRA) with descriptive analysis methods in data processing. The results of this research show that surah al-Muzammil is a text structure which is an application of SRA in surah al-Muzammil to produce a series consisting of 3 parts and 7 pieces which form a parallel concentric construction (A B/ x / A' B'). every piece and part have a relationship with other pieces and parts, so that every verse in surah al-Muzammil is interconnected. This finding was refuted by Richard Bell because each verse in surah al-Muzammil was able to be symmetrical with other verses from the lowest text level to the top text level, so this conclusion indicated that surah al-Muzammil was structured systematically and coherently.

Abstract

Purposestudy aims to explore the concept of hudud and its relationship with family treatment according to Imam Al-Qurtubi.MethodThis research employs a library research method, using documentation as a data collection technique. To analyze hudud, this study utilizes a thematic approach. This study is relevant and closely related to the interpretation of the Qur’an as it is capable of establishing sharī‘ah at any time and place, setting legal rulings that align with contemporary challenges and the diversity faced today. Results/findingsAllah mentions the word hudūd in the Qur’an to refer to family boundaries, such as marital relations (ar-rafats), zihar, divorce, and inheritance distribution. These hudud are divided into two categories prescriptive hudud and prohibitive hudud.  ConclusionThe conclusion of the research on hudud remain applicable in the modern era as divine legislation that ensures justice and social balance. From an Islamic feminist perspective, hudud does not constitute discrimination against women but rather guarantees their rights and protection. Therefore, instead of rejecting them, hudud should be understood and implemented in ways that align with contemporary developments while maintaining principles of justice and equality, fostering a cohesive society that respects women's rights.

Abstract

The man is the head of the household, and the wife is the housewife. That is the paradigm embedded in our society in general, because so far men have always been the main ones at the forefront while wives have always been in a limited area. The problem is that contextually, the role of women is no longer in the domestic area alone, but many have also played a role outside the home to help their husbands earn a living. The question is how can the rights and obligations of husband and wife be exercised in this context? The purpose of this research is to obtain a reconstruction of new rights and obligations that are based on fikih mubadalah. This research is a literature review, qualitative type with a mubadalah approach. The result of this research is that the partners between men and women in realising justice in the household must be equal, such as mutual deliberation, mutual democracy and mutual kindness in relationships.

Abstract

Higher education is an effective means of transforming thought and movement to counteract the negative influence of various extreme and deviant religious schools and understandings, one of which is radical ideology, which has recently begun to emerge among students at several tertiary institutions. This study aims to obtain an overview of the steps that have been taken by UIN Raden Intan Lampung, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, and UIN Sunan Gunung Jati Bandung in grounding the concept of religious moderation to anticipate and counteract the radicalism ideology that has recently infiltrated among University students. This research is classified as descriptive qualitative field research, using the maslahah (benefit) theory. Data were obtained from reviewing several documents in the three institutions, which were then processed and analyzed using the content analysis method. This study concludes that although each University has a different approach in its efforts to prevent and overcome radical religious ideology, the concept offered is the same, namely religious moderation, which is based on the principle of welfare, namely “li jalbi al-mashālih wa li daf'i al-mafāsid” (taking benefit and eliminating harm).

Abstract

There are so many scientific signs in the Qur’an. Including scientific cues in verses that talk about insects. One of the insects recorded in the Qur’an is a fly, even the Qur’an directly relates the creation of this fly to a theological problem. This paper seeks to explore scientific wisdom in the verse regarding the creation of flies which are often underestimated by humans because of their existence which is considered not to bring benefits but on the contrary as a source of disease according to Thantawi Jauhari. Research using the descriptive approach has several conclusions, including that Thantawi Jauhari explained the unique design of the fly's limbs, especially the fly's eyes and wings. Flies also help reduce airborne diseases and fungi that can cause more severe illnesses in humans. In addition, Thantawi also tried to explain the wisdom of the creation of flies. The verse about the design of flies shows how weak humans are before God, especially statues worshippers.

Abstract

Purpose This study aimed to analyze the concept of Qur’anic dhikr in Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzi’s Tafsir Mafātīḥ al-Ghayb and to examine its relevance as a complementary approach to addressing the phenomenon of anxiety among Generation Alpha.                       Method This qualitative, literature-based study used thematic-critical analysis. Primary data from al-Rāzī's dhikr verse interpretations was evaluated using reduction, categorization, and interpretation stages. This study combined classical exegesis with modern psychology ideas including emotion management, cognitive reappraisal, and neurophysiological responses. Triangulation and a review of the current literature guaranteed data authenticity. Results/findings The study revealed Al-Rāzi believed that dhikr goes beyond linguistic engagement, as evidenced by research findings. According to research, al-Rāzī defines dhikr as a spiritual awareness process that impacts psychological stability, not just a linguistic exercise. Dhikr has cognitive, emotional, and neurophysiological elements. Generation Alpha anxiety is affected by digital exposure, social interaction, and cognitive development. Dhikr may complement modern psychology as a spiritual coping method.            Conclusion                   Qur’anic dhikr can serve as an approach that integrates Islamic spirituality and modern psychology in addressing the anxiety of Generation Alpha. However, dhikr functions as a complementary therapy, not a substitute for clinical interventions. Further research is needed to determine its mental health benefits in the digital age.

Abstract

The study of war or qitāl in the Qur'an often causes controversy, primarily because some circles still associate verses of jihad with violence or terrorism. This indicates a gap in understanding that needs to be bridged through in-depth tafsir (exegesis) studies. This research aims to analyze the concept of war in the Qur'an through a comparative study of two tafsirs: Tafsir Al-Mishbah by Quraish Shihab and Tafsir Al-Muharrar Al-Wajiz by Ibn Athiyyah. The method used is qualitative research based on a literature study with a thematic and comparative approach. The results show that both mufassirs (exegetes) agree that war in Islam is defensive in nature, oriented toward justice, and limited by humanitarian values. War is not intended as a means of aggression but as a last resort for self-defense and the protection of religious freedom. However, differences are observed in the emphasis: Tafsir Al-Mishbah highlights the contextual, moral, and spiritual aspects more, while Tafsir Al-Muharrar Al-Wajiz tends to emphasize the legal side of fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and linguistic debates. This study contributes by demonstrating how contextual-moral and fiqh-linguistic approaches complement each other in constructing a holistic Qur’anic understanding of war.
