Komunikasi terapeutik menjadi sangat penting untuk seorang perawat dalam memberikan asuhan keperawatan karena memiliki manfaat. Manfaat dari komunikasi terapeutik untuk menjalin hubungan baik perawat dan pasien. Proses komunikasi yang baik dapat membantu dalam mengatasi Persoalan yang dihadapi oleh pasien pada tahap perawatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan komunikasi terapeutik perawat terhadap kepuasan pasien post operasi di ruang rawat inap RSIA IPHI Batu. Desain penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode korelasional untuk mengetahui hubungan komunikasi terapeutik dengan kepuasan pasien. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua pasien post operasi di ruang Rawat Inap RSIA IPHI Batu sebanyak 56 orang dan sampel penelitian menggunakan insidental sampling yaitu sebanyak 34 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi terapeutik perawat seluruh responden dikategorikan baik yaitu sebanyak 34 orang (100%), kepuasan pasien seluruh responden dikategorikan sangat puas yaitu sebanyak 34 orang (100%), dan hasil analisis data menggunakan uji pearson product moment nilai signifikan sebesar 0,007 (p value ≤ 0,05) yang artinya terdapat hubungan komunikasi terapeutik perawat terhadap kepuasan pasien post operasi di ruang rawat inap RSIA IPHI Batu. Petugas kesehatan khususnya perawat untuk tetap memperhatikan komunikasi terapeutik dengan pasien, baik fase orientasi, fase kerja maupun fase terminasi, karena ketiga fase ini selalu berhubungan dengan pasien sehingga dapat memberikan dampak persepsi bagi pasien berupa kepuasan. A good communication process can provide understanding of patient behavior and help in overcoming problems faced at the stage of care. The purpose of this study was to determine the therapeutic communication of nurses to the satisfaction of postoperative patients in the inpatient ward of RSIA IPHI Batu. The design of this study was conducted using a correlational method to determine the relationship between therapeutic communication and patient satisfaction. The population in this study were all postoperative patients in the Inpatient Room of the RSIA IPHI Batu as many as 56 people and the study sample used incidental sampling ie as many as 34 people. The results showed that therapeutic communication of nurses of all respondents was categorized as good as many as 34 people (100%), patient satisfaction of all respondents categorized as very satisfied, namely as many as 34 people (100%), and the results of data analysis using Pearson product moment test significant value of 0.007 (p value ≤ 0.05) which means that there is a relationship between therapeutic communication of nurses to the satisfaction of postoperative patients in the inpatient room of RSIA IPHI Batu. Thus health workers, especially nurses, always pay attention to communication with patients, especially therapeutic communication orientation phase, work phase, termination phase, because these three phases are always related to patients so that they can have a perception effect for patients in the form of satisfaction.
