Abstract

Pencemaran limbah air sungai Gajah Wong Yogyakarta dalam taraf memprihatinkan, sedang masyarakat sekitar belum sadar akan bahaya lingkungan yang mengintai. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini yang dilaksanakan di aliran sungai Gajah Wong desa Papringan RT 07 RW 2 Sleman Yogyakarta. Dengan data penelitian awal parameter kualitas air yang meliputi BO, DOD, Ph, Pb, dan adanya ketersedian Bakteri Escheria Coli ditemukan dibawah baku mutu standar. Penggunaan air sungai Gajah wong untuk keperluan sehari-hari masih sangat banyak ditemui di bantaran sungai ini. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan terobosan baru yang murah untuk pengolahan limbah air sungai dari limbah bathok kelapa yang disintesis menjadi ukuran nano terintegrasi dengan pembuatan lahan basah buatan sehingga daya kegunaannya lebih efektif. Lahan basah buatas ini juga berfungsi memperindah tata kota dan hasil sampingannya sebagai pakan ternak dan sayuran daun yang bisa dikonsumsi. Upaya ini melibatkan BLH (Badan Lingkungan Hidup) Yogyakarta, Komunitas Peduli Gajah Wong (KPGW). Warga masyarakat sekitar sungai, komunitas studi club mahasiswa Water Forum Kalijogo dan studi Club Fisika Material. Hasil dari pengabdian ini berupa sistem pengolahan limbah permanen yang efektif sehingga diperoleh air sungai yang tidak tercemar dengan peningkatan parameter kualitas air tidak lagi dibawah baku mutu tapi sesuai dengan baku mutu dan tidak bau serta terwujudnya sanitasi sungai dengan demikian mampu membantu program Pemda Yogyakarta.

Abstract

This reseach is about qibla location measurement using analytical mathematics of spherical trigonometry. The  analytical mathematics of spherical trigonometry is simulated using mathematics software. In This research using MATLAB R2009 mathematics software. Since this software user easily to use by newbie user, the language of this software simulated in GUI MATLAB R2009 programmer language. This programmer language make interactif learning between the user and the program. The important input parameter of this software are coordinat location of area then the user can measument angle magnitude qibla location convenient with coordinat location.

Abstract

Peristiwa alam dan saling keterkaitannya menarik untuk dikaji dan diteliti. Gerhana Bulan Total (GBT) pada Rabu, 8 Oktober 2014 merupakan Gerhana bulan ke 42 yang fenomena menarik untuk diamati. Peristiwa ini mengubah beberapa besaran fisika terkait perubahan atmosfernya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mencari keterkaitan aktivitas flare dan CME pasca GBT terhadap variasi indeks Dst atmosfer bumi. Dengan menggamati nilai dan klasifikasi Flare akan diperoleh perkembangan variasi medan magnetik pada magnetosfer bumi. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini berupa grafik yang menunjukkan daerah yang sangat aktif sejak 1 November hingga 12 Desember  2014 yaitu kategari daerah 12205. Sebagian besar daerah ini menyemburkan flare kelas M (sebanyak 13 kali) dan kelas X (sebanyak 1 kali). Flare kelas X terkegorikan dalam kelas X1.6 merupakan flare terbesar yang terjadi sepanjang 1 November hingga 12 Desember 2014. Indeks Dst terendah terjadi pada tanggal 10 November dengan nilai -57 nT, nilai ini tergolong dalam kategori flare badai geomagnetik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Aktifitas Flare/CME pasca GBT berpengaruh  terhadap indeks Dst Atmosfer

Abstract

The study effect of temperature on the morphology of carbon nanotube (CNF) based coconut husk has been done. CNF is one of the nanotechnology products that can be applied to reduce the concentration of the especially Pb, Cd, Ni. Thepurpose of this study are temperature effect on CNF and determine the potential uses treatment of CNF in the laundry waste. The Growth of CNF used the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method with a temperature variation of 6000 C,7000 C, and 8000 C. CNF synthesis involves reacting activated carbon from coconut shell, ferrocene (Fe(C5H5)2) as a catalyst, benzene as the carbon source,and argon gas flowed. The Purification of CNF using nitric acid (HNO3) 65%. The result of Energy Dispersive Spestroscopy (EDS) characterization indicate that increasing temperatures indicate increasing carbon content. CNF as adsorbent deposited on the laundry waste. The water quality test of the laundry waste showed that the adsorption of CNF likely reduce Pb level at 67,4% at a temperature of 6000C and DO concentration increases. CNF T has no effect on the amount of PH and Cd, while BOD and COD consentration increases.

Abstract

The development of laboratory-based lecture materials with integrated and interconnected value is a requirement for study and practical materials and in line with the vision and mission of UIN Sunan Kalijaga. As a result, the optimization of laboratory’s equipment is urgently needed. Although UIN Sunan Kalijaga Laboratory have had Solarscope telescope – which have a guidebook in German language – for six years, it was not optimally used even it can be used to satisfy the desires to observe astronomical objects economically, accurately and easy to operate. Based on above, this research propose to create a lab-work module for Solarscope with integration and interconnection value. This research used 4D methodology (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate) and have passed the assessment and validation phase from material, media and integrated-interconnected value experts. The data analysis of the module which was mapped by Sukarja into 5 scale mark resulted in good grade in the module assessment by material experts with 80% from the ideal mark with most of the complaint is in the formula typing which is not clear in its derivative. The module assessment by media experts scored very good grade with 88.89% from the ideal mark regarding the content and the figures of the module. Lastly, from the integrated-interconnected value experts marked in good grade with 73.50% from the ideal mark and suggested the addition of supported Al-Qur’an verses and relevant exclamation of the Al-Qur’an’s passages. With all of these assessment results, this module can be used as the material of astrophysics lab-work and for supporting students’ researches with integration-interconnection value and enhance the university’s book collection which will support the vision and mission of UIN Sunan Kalijaga

Abstract

Halal foods and medicines are an absolute daily needs for the Muslim community in Indonesia. Therefore the authority institutions in indonesian goverment should ensure the availability of this. It is of course inseparable from the role of higher education through the development of its technology to develop halal detection of foods and drugs. This study is an effort to contribute to the Halal Research Center of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta through the biosensor development in halal detection foods and medicines based on biosensor SPR. This device using graphene materials to improve the detection sensitivity of pork gelatin material that is likely contained in foodstuffs and medicine. From analytical calculation and computation, enhancement of the SPR biosensor performance by involvement graphene it was shown through the ATR (Attenuated Total Reflectance) reflective curve. The result of this results was found the enhancement of the sensitivity 2,86 %.Keyword: Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), Porcine Gelatin, Graphene, ATR
