Abstract

ABSTRACT The squid is the highest catch of living resources of non-fish fishery landed in Sungailiat-Bangka of Archipelago Fishing Port. In addition, it also has a significant economic value on the island of Bangka, one of them is processed into typical food. The first objective of this research is to analyze the maximum sustainable yield (MSY), data were analyzed using Schaefer model. The second objective of this study is determine the pattern of the fishing season, which were analyzed using the moving average method. The result of the research indicates that the value of the parameter estimates squid with intercept value (a) = 36,388 and slope (b) = -0,00159 thus forming a linear equation CPUE = 36,388 – 0,00159 f. The relationship of this equation can be interpreted when an attempt to arrest of f units per year and reduce the value of productivity (CPUE) for squid 0,00159 kg/year. After knowing the value of intercept and slope, obtained its maximum sustainable yield value region squid waters of Bangka is 207.635 kg/year, and predicted value of optimum fishing effort (fMSY) is approximately 11.412 trip/year. Based on valuation  of the MSY and optimum fishing effort, catching squid in the last five years (2005-2009) has not reached overfishing. Peak of the squid fishing season occurs in November with a value of 146,21% IMP then successively May (134,21%), April (119,11%), October (115,83%), and June (114,38%).   Keyword : Fishing season, MSY, Squid.

Abstract

Seagrass bed in Indonesia generally was the place sought a living, spawned, the enlargement and the protection for various kinds of the sea biota. The larva, as one of the biotas that make use of lamun, Was the development of the life of the fish that was begun from the egg as far as the mature form. The research about existence, of relations between abundance and fish larva and juvenile composition in seagrass bed and the density that was different often was not yet done, considering the importance of the fish larva for the fathoming of stock. This research aimed at knowing the fish larva kind and juvenile that associated with seagrass, as well as to know the composition and abundance of the larva and juvenile available in the Pulau Panjang, Jepara.

Abstract

Fishes used seagrass ecosystem as nursery, spawning, feeding ground, daily ruaya and food for hebivorous fish. This research aims to describe the daily variability of fish communities in seagrass ecosystems, analyze seagrass communities and analyze seagrass associations with seagrass fish. The research was conducted in March 2017 in the waters of Ketawai Island, Central Bangka Regency. Line transect methode was used for seagrass data retrieval and swept area method for fish data capture. It was found that total number of individual fish as much as 244 ind/6.000m², consisting of 17 species during the day and 13 species at night. The highest abundance of daytime fish species Gerres filamentosus 68ind / 6.000m² and Hypoatherina barnesi 81ind/6.000m² at night. Diversity index is 1,917 at daytime and 1,074 at night. The uniformity indes is 0,677 at daytime and 0,419 at night. The dominance index is 0,258 at daytime and 0,583 at night. Spesies density, species frequency, species closure, Important Value Index of seagrass were dominated by three species of seagrass is Cymodocea rotundata, Thalassia hemprichii and Enhalus acoroides. Correspondence Analysis between the density of seagrass and the abundance of fish in the afternoon forming 2 groups and at night forming 3 groups of seagrass and fish associations. The Atherinidae fish family prefers the Thalassia hemprichii seagrass species.

Abstract

Hot springs in Nyelanding Village, South Bangka Regency, have the potential of geothermal resources that can be used as a potential energy source, moreover found several types of freshwater fish that utilize these hot springs as their natural habitat. The objectives of this study are to identify the water quality and diversity of freshwater fish species in the hot spring area of Nyelanding Village, South Bangka Regency; analyze the feasibility of water quality for fisheries and tourism activities; and analyzing fish growth patterns found at these locations. The results showed that there were two types of fish found in the hot springs of Nyelanding Village, which were Gabus Fish (Channa striata) and Sepat Fish (Trichogaster trichopterus). There are 6 hot water quality parameters Village Nyelanding included in standard class II PP 82 of 2001 include pH, COD, TSS, TDS, Nitrate and Total fospat, two parameters are not required (depth and ammonia), one parameter (temperature ) not in normal natural waters. The growth pattern of Gabus Fish in the hot water of Nyelanding Village is negative allometric with a growth coefficient of 2.076. In general, based on the analysis of water quality parameters, the Nyelanding Village hot water is suitable for biota life as well as aquaculture activities and tourist areas. For aquaculture, the recommended type of fish is eurythermal. However, their habit of draining the hot water pool Village Nyelanding made towards development of the area is less recommended for fishing activity, but preferably as a tourist area.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the density of megabenthos in coral reef ecosystems in the waters of Perlang Village. This research was conducted in November 2019 in the waters of Perlang Village with the megabentos data collection method using the Bentos Belt Transect (BBT) method based on COREMAP CTI LIPI (2017) with 5 data collection stations. The results found 603 individuals consisting of 9 species from 4 megabenthos families in coral reef ecosystems. Species found at the study site are Diadema setosum, Diadema antillarium (Familli Deadematidae), Drupella cornus, Drupella rugosa (Family Murcidae), Trochus sp, Trochus conus, Tectus pyramis (Family Trochidae), Tridacna gigas, and Tridacna maxima (Family Tridacnidae) . The highest attendance percentage of all stations was obtained by Diadema setosum of 47.93% (289 people). Percentage of live coral cover from 5 observation stations ranged from 57.44% - 91.78%. Observation pensions that received the highest percentage of cover values were at pension 2 with 91.78% in the very good category.
