Abstract

Childhood  is the most vulnerable time to try something new  especially food and drink. Children are easily interested in snacks advertized in television. They do not know how dangerous it is to health if manufacturers do not pay a close attention to the composition of the snack. It is their parents who should monitor the child’s behavior in consuming the snack. This paper aims to find out the impact of advertisement  on snacks to children’s health.  The data was collected through literary study such as books, journals and so on. An advertisement is very influential to children’s behavior in choosing their snack. Children do not know the danger of consuming the snack. Parents should monitor the snack bought by children. Key words : children, snack, advertisement, television

Abstract

Visual media is the most appropriate means to assist learning methods in early childhood. One way to use media arts to help young children develop skills abilities of children. Besides that, the media arts help educators and parents to facilitate a concrete method of teaching can stimulate students’ motivation. This research will explore the use of models of visual media arts learning for children kindergarten and the impact of the use of visual media art in children’s learning kindergarten. The method of this study include data collection, data analysis, and presentation of data analysis. This study used analysis techniques with step-by-step interactive model, which consists of three components analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. Learning method that uses art media include drawing or painting, make a stamp from a variety of media, linking material by hand, drawing techniques with collage, and pin the pattern. Abstract

Advertising is a tool to convey the information about a thing or goods. Advertising is usually popularizedthrough a media includes electronic as well as printed media like radio, television, or printed advertising.Advertising is supposed to persuade or influence people to use or utilize the things or goods. Advertising isdesigned by sophisticated technology so that it can be easily accessed by public. The research aims to findthe kinds of language styles in the advertisement of the kid formula milk. The milk consumer in Indonesia isvery high. For the reason, then, the agents of advertisement try to make language style designed by picturesand interesting models in order to influence people to choose the milk. The research uses descriptive qualitativemethod. Descriptive research aims to make a systematic, factual, and accurate description about the facts,characteristics, and the relationship between the researched phenomena. Data source in this research usedocumentation technique. The result is the kinds of language styles used in the advertisement of the kidsformula milk including hyperbola, metonymy, personification, and sinekdok. All of the kinds of languagestyles mostly dominate the advertisement in the kid formula milk.Keywords: advertisement, milk, formula, the kids, language style

Abstract

Painting is an activity full of stimulation of the growth and development of children. As well as writing and playing activities, painting has benefits for child development. Painting has benefits that help activate the right brain ‘creativity can thrive. The problem in that will be described in this paper is the development of alternative methods of painting as a medium of education. This paper aims to discover the impact of media use to paint on children’s learning. The benefits of this research are: (a) help the child is able to create something based on imagination; (b) can be adopted by teachers and parents as a means of education, particularly early childhood, (c) can be used as a source of material and inspiration for performers (d) to motivate young children to get to know and appreciate the works of art, especially the art of painting; (e) assist early childhood to develop sensitivity, and (f) to motivate young children to express themselves using a variety of media through painting. Sources of data in this study were collected through (1) the study of literature contained in many libraries as in Play Group and workers, library Surakarta, (2) direct observation to see learning methods, and (3) are supported by in-depth interviews conducted sound recording the informant. Painting for children will learn to invent or create, pouring his ideas, as well as visualize and realize the imagination in a work; help the development of the cognitive, emotional intelligence and intelligence their motor; Hone talents of children who may have a significant impact on the ability and the skills they in the future, and to foster interest in learning, as well as methods of learning and creativity-based education, providing children allowed to express their thoughts and feelings through images without always given mock object.
