Abstract

Pada industri manufaktur sebuah joran pancing berbahan fiber, proses awal yang dilakukan adalah perekatan lapisan serat fiber pada mandrel. Proses perekatan lapisan serat fiber ini masih dilakukan secara manual, yaitu operator yang meletakkan lapisan serat fiber ke mandrel dan merekatkannya menggunakan setrika (iron). Berdasarkan data produksi, hasil produksi tidak mencapai target output dan tingkat kecacatan produk yang terjadi sangat tinggi dikarenakan kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh operator. Hal ini memiliki dampak besar terhadap produktivitas yaitu kecacatan pada produk, rendahnya efektivitas proses produksi, dan waktu produksi yang kurang efisien. Peningkatan produktivitas dalam proses produksi dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan mesin berbasis Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) yang dapat mengontrol aktuator seperti pneumatik dan motor servo secara otomatis serta menggunakan media kontrol Human-Machine Interface (HMI). Dari segi produktivitas, proses produksi yang dilakukan menggunakan mesin dapat mengurangi cycle time proses produksi sebesar 105 detik dan menurunkan jumlah cacat produk yang dihasilkan sebesar 15,76% sehingga meningkatkan output produksi sebesar 33%.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 11 Batam untuk mengenalkan gerbang logika sebagai dasar pembelajaran PLC kepada siswa jurusan Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik. Kegiatan menggunakan metode ceramah, praktik, pre-test, post-test, dan kuesioner. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa, ditandai dengan kenaikan rata-rata nilai pre-test dari 62,20 menjadi 86,80 pada post-test. Hasil kuesioner mengindikasikan respons peserta yang positif, terutama pada aspek minat, manfaat, dan pelaksanaan kegiatan. Kedua hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran yang memadukan penjelasan materi dan praktik sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap gerbang logika dan PLC.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence technology allows the system to detect various objects. In the research on the classification of color and shape of products using the ELP-USB8MP02G-MFV camera based on YOLOV7, it aims to modify the conveyor on the molding machine. Because the conveyor only has the function of distributing goods from the molding machine to the bin and the length of time used to wait for the bin to be full is the reason why this conveyor is modified. Modifications are made by adding a camera that has been connected to the Raspberry Pi 4B on the conveyor, the camera functions to take pictures of passing product objects then the image is detected by the system on the Raspberry Pi 4B so that this conveyor machine can classify the objects produced by the molding machine. The system detects objects using the YOLOv7 algorithm. This study was carried out with three tests, namely object model detection testing, color detection testing and program and relay output testing where 98.11% was for object model detection testing, 97.37% for color detection and 100% for program and relay output testing.  The results of this research will contribute to the development of object detection, especially product object detection and the results of molding machines.

Abstract

In the era of Industry 4.0, automation in the quality testing process has become a crucial factor in ensuring production consistency, accuracy, and efficiency. This research develops a connector wire testing machine that integrates a load cell sensor, a servo motor control system based on a proportional - integral-derivative (PID) controller, a real-time visual interface developed in C#, and a SQL Server database for automated data logging. Load cell calibration was performed by comparing sensor readings with a digital reference scale over a load range of 1 kg to 3 kg. The results show that the measurement deviation remained below ±0.2%, indicating that the load cell provides accurate and consistent force measurement. Communication performance between the ESP32 and the C# graphical user interface was evaluated through bidirectional latency testing. The system achieved an average delay of 2.2 ms, which is well below the industrial response time threshold of 100 ms, demonstrating stable and responsive data transmission. Database performance testing showed a success rate of 100%, a duplicate rate of 0%, and a coefficient of variation (CV) of 11%, confirming reliable and stable real-time data processing. Furthermore, PID controller tuning resulted in optimal parameters of KP = 0.0025, Ki = 0.00015, and Kd = 0.003, which produced low overshoot (<1%), minimal steady-state error (<0.3%), and relatively short settling times across various setpoints. Overall, the developed system operates accurately, responsively, and reliably, supporting precise wire connector pull testing and robust data management for further analysis and continuous quality improvement.

Abstract

This research develops an Internet of Things (IoT)-based water level monitoring system that can work in real-time both locally and online. The system is designed using an ultrasonic sensor integrated with an ESP32 microcontroller to process and send data to the Antares platform via the MQTT protocol. The obtained data can be displayed via the Antares dashboard and an I2C LCD as a local display, equipped with LED indicators and a buzzer as a warning when the water level is below the 65 cm threshold. To maintain communication stability, a static IP configuration is used. Test results show that the system has high accuracy with an average error of 0.2 cm, a delay of 129.15 ms, and no packet loss, thus being able to provide reliable performance. Thus, this system is considered effective, efficient, and suitable for application in monitoring water levels for various industrial needs.
