Abstract

This research is related to the traditions of Haroa Maludu and Ganda Maludu in Baubau and examined from the aspect of the struggle of local culture with Islam. This type of research is qualitative in nature by knowing the implementation of Ganda Maludu related to the Haroa Maludu method. The data collection is done by interview, observation, study documentation and recording. This study found that the local Indonesian culture outside that came with the local culture, there was a compromise between local culture and immigrant culture, there was attraction, there was a process of rejection and acceptance, there was a dynamic acculturation-accommodation and assimilation process and there was a struggle between the two. The culture is Haroa Maludu with the musical accompaniment of Ganda Maludu in Baubau. Haroa Maludu is a way of commemorating the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, which is typical of Baubau. The findings of this study indicate that the Haroa Maludu ritual tradition in Baubau is divided into three cultural styles, namely 1) Gorona Puta, 2) Haroana Mia Bari, and 3) Maluduana Hukumu.

Abstract

Mandar as one of Indonesian ethnic groups is the majority population in West Sulawesi Province. This ethnic group has an assimilated culture with Islamic teaching values, one of which can be found in Pappasang as advices that are spoken and taught from generation to generation. This study examines Pappasang related to law enforcement. The purpose of this study is to photograph the types of Pappasang in Mandar and examine Pappasang related to law enforcement. This research is a qualitative descriptive. The data were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The study showed that there were many types of Pappasang found in Mandar, such as those related to agreements, law enforcement, unity, leadership, maintaining the trust, solidarity, transparency, accountability, foresight, and so on. As for Pappasang related to law enforcement in Mandar showed many statements. One of them stated that the law is not biased towards children, family, friends or others. All are equal before the law.

Abstract

Since long time ago, Indonesia contributes to one of the largest Muslim scholar graduates in the world, these scholars are not only recognized in their countries, but are recognized throughout the world. They are Nuruddin Ar Raniri (Aceh), Sheikh Nawawi al Bantani (Banten), Khalil Bangkalan (Madura), Sheikh Muhammad Arsyad al Banjari (South Kalimantan), Sheikh Yusuf al Makassari (South Sulawesi), Sheikh Ahmad Khatib al Minangkabawi and Muhammad Jamil Jambek (West Sumatra), Sheikh Mahfudz Tremas (Java), following Hadhratus Sheikh KH. Hasyim Asy'ari (founder of  Nahdatul  Ulama),  KH. Ahmad  Dahlan (founder of  Muhammadiyah),  Prof.  Dr.  Hasbi  ash- Shidiqqey (initiator of Indonesian jurisprudence), Prof. Buya Hamka, and so on. The number of scholars in Indonesia will never be exhausted to be studied, because scholars always grow and develop in the community. Some of the scholars have written their biographies, but many of them have not yet been written. The absence of written sources (reading) about the scholar makes the public not familiar with it. So the purpose of writing this short biography is to find out a short biography of one of the scholars, namely Dr. Muhammad Nawawi Yahya Abudrrazak Al Majene, from Mandar, West Sulawesi. Nawawi Yahya is known by the local people by the name of Puang Masser, because most of his life was spent in Egypt in the context of studying. From the undergraduate program until the doctoral program was completed in Egypt. Nawawi Yahya or Puang Masser managed to write a dissertation entitled "Az Zakah wa an Nadzum al Ijtima'iyah al Mu'ashirah", Zakat  and  the  Order of the  Contemporary Society. What's interesting  about the dissertation is its thickness reaches 3,593 pages, which is divided into six chapters. The work has now been published by the Research Center for Literature and the Religious Khazanah of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion's Research and Development Agency. This study used interviews, observations, and documentation in collecting data as well as qualitative research in general.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan potret termasuk kondisi rill pondok pesantren dan pengajian kitab kuning sesuai dengan undang-undang dan peraturan yang berlaku. Kemudian mengemukakan peluang dan tantangan yang dihadapi di dalam mengelola pondok pesantren Ittaqullah. Sumber data terdiri atas dua jenis yaitu data primer dan data skunder. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi, dan triangulasi. Pengolahan dan analisis data menggunakan tiga cara, yaitu penyajian data, reduksi data dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pondok Pesantren Salafiah Ittaqullah sebagai lembaga pendidikan keagamaan Islam yang didirikan 2007 keberadaannya sangat sederhana di berbagai aspek yang hanya mengharapkanridhodan Rahmat Allah SWT. Pesantren ini mengelola dua jenis pendidikan yaitu pendidikan diniyah (madrasy) yang mengintegrasikan dua pendidikan yaitu pendidikan umum dan pendidikan agama yang dikenal dengan pola pendidikan mu’allim. Pengajian kitab kuning dengan mengacu pada Peraturan Menteri Agama Nomor 13 tahun 2014 Tentang Pendidikan Keagamaan Islam. Pengajian kitab diselenggarakan melalui mengaji berbagai kitab kuning yang dilakukan dengan secara sederhana. Di dalam implementasinya terdapat peluang karena ustad/kakak berbuat penuh keikhlasan, meskipun juga sekaligus mengalami kelemahan tentang kurangnya kakak yang mengajar kitab kuning, juga pengadaan kitab yang dipelajari hanya mengandal kitab yang difoto copy.

Abstract

Sasaran penelitian ini adalah tradisi lisan yang mengandung nilai-nilai keagamaan yang diekspresikan oleh masyarakatsetempat. Penelitian ini mengangkat dua pertanyaan penelitian, yaitu: I) Tradisi lisan apa saja yang ada dalam siklus hidupmasyarakat Mandar? dan 2) Unsur pendidikan apa saja yang ada dalam tradisi lisan sebagai media pendidikan bagimasyarakat Mandar? Sedangkan tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian di atas.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan strategi ethnografl praktis (practical ethnography). Penelitian ini diadakandi kecamatan: Polewali, Tapango, Tinambung, Balanipa, Limboro, dan Campalagian Kabupaten Polewali Mandar ProvinsiSulawesi Barat. Adapun cara pengambilan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam, pengamatan terlibat, dandokumentasi, serta FGD (Focus Group Discusion).

Abstract

This research is done in Balanipa regional district of Polewali MandarWest Sulawesi. The research covers the descriptive qualitative. Thedata is found and gathered with the technique of collecting data asfollows: a) depth interview, b) document study, and c) observation. Theprocessing and data analysis are done with analyzing all preparingdata from some sources.The result of the research shows that Mandarese culture is necessary tobe socialized for the next generation because it is an identity for supportingcommunity, process of Mandarese culture socialization in somemain note of the appropriating historical development, and Madareseculture still exist to the present suitable era especially an establishmentfor the next generation, especially in the case of agreement, maintenanceof low, looking for correctness, democracy, autonomy of territory,concept of leadership, unity of the people, keep the trusteeship,solidarity, transparency, insight to the front, accountability, supervisionor care, and professionalism.
