Abstract

It is estimated that by 2045, the number of DM sufferers will reach 630 million of people. Indonesia, based on the 2018 Basic Health Survey, the prevalence of DM reached 10.9%. During the pandemic of Covid-19, people with pre-existing medical conditions such as Diabetes Mellitus (DM) were more susceptible to becoming seriously ill due to covid-19. Health services were also hampered during the pandemic of Covid-19. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge about DM, self-care skills in patients or care-givers. Health Education was carried out through Whatsapp Group online education in the form of providing material knowledge about DM disease, self-care skills for DM patients in the new normal era, and prevention of DM patients from Covid-19, educational videos, and flyers. This activity was attended by 168 participants. The results of the activity show that online education can increase knowledge about self-care skills in DM patients and care-givers. The continuation of this activity was followed up through providing information on WhatsApp Group and online consultation (telemedicine).

Abstract

Atopic Dermatitis (hereinafter referred to as AD) is a typical, chronic, and frequent relapse (exacerbation) inflammatory skin disease which, although rare, can be found in adult patients. Atopic dermatitis found in adults is more caused by psychological stress and is supported by decreased function of the autonomic nervous system. This article is a form of the application of family doctor services based on evidence based medicine to patients by identifying risk factors, clinical problems, and patient management based on the framework of solving patient problems with a patient centered and family approach. This study is a Case Report. Primary data were obtained through autoanamnesis, physical examination, home visits to complete family and psychosocial data, as well as the environment. Assessment based on a holistic diagnosis from the beginning, process and end of the study quantitatively and qualitatively. Adult patient with atopic dermatitis. On internal factors in the case such as genetic factors, age, and ignorance of the precipitating factor. External factors are the lack of family knowledge about atopic dermatitis, its complications and the environment that has many allergens. Pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions were carried out in the form of education in preventing the recurrence of atopic dermatitis symptoms in patients. Enforcement of diagnosis and management of these patients has been carried out holistically, patient centered, family approach and based on several theories and the latest research. In the process of behavior change, patients and families have reached the adoption stage.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic was announce by World Health Organization on March 11, 2020. The disease first appeared in Wuhan, China, and continued to spread to various countries around the world starting in December 2019. To reduce the spread of COVID-19, the Indonesian government implemented the Restriction of Community Activities (PPKM), which had an impact on various aspects of life, including health and the economy. After the reduction in morbidity of COVID-19, Indonesian President officially lifted the PPKM status on December 30, 2022. The government and all aspect work together to improve the post-pandemic situation. Until now, no drug has been found that can specifically cure COVID-19. This infection is the same as other viral infections, which have a self-limiting nature with the speed of recovery being influenced by the individual's immune status. Immune status is a condition of the immune system that protects a person's body from exposure to foreign objects. Factors that can affect the immunity status are age, intake of immunonutrition, hormones, and exposure to infection. Immunonutrition consists of certain nutrients that can help the immune system. This article is a literature review compiled to determine the relationship between immunonutrition intake with immunity status post-COVID-19 pandemic. The literature sources used in this article use national and international scientific articles that have been published in 2013–2022. There’re many impact of COVID-19 pandemic such as economic decrease that decrease purchasing power, including in the purchase of food. That’s all can cause the decreasing of immunity status.
