Organic vegetables are environmentally friendly and more inclined to theconcept of nature (back to nature) and without using pesticides. But until now, there have been no studies examiningwhether organically grown vegetables are free from contamination of STH worm eggs and larvae. This research is knowingthe picture of organic vegetable pollution by STH. This research is a descriptive survey with a laboratory approach. Samplingwas taken from three modern markets of the City of Medan, North Sumatra Province. In this study, 50 grams of eachorganicgreenery vegetables, i.e. pokchoy, mustard greens, curly lettuce, white cabbage, white radishes, celery and spinach, wereobtained to be examined in the laboratory. Data was obtained by filling out the questionnaire andundertook physical examination from 232 samples, after which were analyzed using statistical test. Statitiscal test resultsshowed an association between the proportion of pediculosis capitis infections with risk factors including hair length(p = 0.001), hair type (p = 0.001), hair washing frequency (P = 0.001), hair cut frequency (p = 0.001) and use of shampoo(p = 0.024). Hair type is more dominant than pediculosis infection (SE = 7.8%). There is a relationship between risk factorsand the proportion of pediculosis capitis in school children.

The respondents were 122 respondents taken by simple randomsampling and slovin formula. The data were analyzed by using Kruskal-Wallis Test, with significant value p < 0.05. StudentsGPA with a cum laude predicate with auditory learning styles 7(5.7%), GPA very satisfactory predicate with auditory learningstyle 65 (53.3%), GPA satisfactory predicate with auditory learning style 46 (37.7%), and no predicate with visual auditorylearning style 4(3.3%). The result of Chi-Square t-test obtained p=0.24. The study shows no correlation between learningstyles and academic achievement index of UMSU medical students.

Abstract

In order to overcome and decide the spread of Covid-19 that has been declared pandemic since March of 2020, the Indonesian government has issued a policy of physical distancing when being in the public. This has caused a major impact on various fields in Indonesia, especially the education sector. Physical distancing has changed the method of learning that is usually done face-to-face on campus, and must be changed to an online learning method. This drastic change is likely to affect students' learning motivation. Learning motivation is a condition that encourages students to learn. This study aims to determine the relationship between independent learning ability and distance learning motivation during the Covid-19 pandemic in students of the Medical Faculty, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU). This research is an analytic study using a cross-sectional design. The number of subjects in this study was 200 people who were taken by stratified random samples. Primary data collection was done by using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by contingency coefficient hypothesis testing using SPSS. Most of the students had good independent learning abilities (n = 106 or 53%) and high motivation (n = 86 or 43%). The results of the analysis using contingency coefficient test obtained p value of 0.001 and a correlation coefficient of 0.400. There is a moderate correlation between independent study ability and distance learning motivation during the Covid-19 pandemic among students in Medical Faculty of UMSU. Keywords: Covid-19, distance learning ability, learning motivation.
