Abstract

This research proves that Salafism-Wahhabism tends to bring out the problem of aqidah instead of the problem of khilāfīyah. Furthermore, the followers of Salafism-Wahhabism have been well known as a denomination with fundamentalism-literalism world view, and they often conduct rigid and non-contextual interpretation of the Qur’an and Hadith. Therefore, it can be concluded that coercion in religion is directly proportional to the rigidness of religious teachings. And that fiqh must be the basic means of Islamic daʻwah (missionary activities), and it should not be the cantilever of partial daʻwah, which could bring Islamic negative image among non-believers and distancing sinful Muslims from his God. Also, traditional law must be adapted with religious idealism and imbued with the general principles of sharia. Therefore, the sharia perfection could only be realized by the conciliation with constantly-changing social condition and human interests. The researcher used sociology-anthropology approach, which was a religious approach that correlated with some other social sciences approaches such as socio-cultural, normative theology, faith, and religious practices. The researcher used library research as the source of data, and the secondary data sources included the works of Wahhabism scholars that referenced by the followers of Salafism-Wahhabism. The researcher also included the works of scholars that criticized the teachings of Ibn Taymīyah and Muḥammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhāb. As the comprehensive research, the researcher used documentation study and conducting deep interview with certain parties and individuals.

Abstract

Salafism-Wahhabism is intolerance in the problem of khilāfīyah. In ideological issues they are completely intolerant, and in some cases of of worship are tolerant.  This research supports some of the statements from the work of Natana J. Delong-Bas through his book titled “Wahhabi Islam: From Revival and Reform to Global Jihad” (2004), Abdullahi Ahmed an-Naʻim in “Islam and Secular State: Negotiating the Future of Sharia” (2008), and Mazen Hashem through his writings titled “Contemporary Islamic Activism: The Shades of Praxis”, Sociology of Religion (2006). These scholars generally stated that Wahhabism was a radical Madhhab or doctrine or movement because it always persuades the followers to maintain the ‘pure teachings of Islam’, which believed by the proponents applicable to all Muslims. In addition, the Wahhabis have a view of puritanical Islam, which is to be intolerant in a variety of differences, so as to impose uniformity of religious understanding in Indonesia. Therefore, there is no one among them who said that the Salafi Wahabi is a moderate school of though.

Abstract

This research discusses finance technology, which is the use of technology to provide better services in finance or banking. This service will certainly facilitate consumers, so that it will grow, and eventually produce a separate industry whose products work with commodities of various conventional financial institutions. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method, with a normative legal research approach, namely a statute approach, conceptual approach, and comparative approach. The aim is to ensure that there are regulations related to Fintech-based financial institutions that are protected by law, both in terms of Positive Law and guidelines for legal provisions that lead to halal either in terms of sharia or Islamic law.

Abstract

The quality of the character of the state civil apparatus (ASN) determines the effectiveness of public services. This community service aims to build the character of ASN through a training and coaching approach conducted with the Depok City Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM). The activity method is in the form of training on ASN basic values (BerAKHLAK), integrity coaching, and strengthening work ethic. The results of the activity showed an increase in ASN's understanding of the values of integrity, excellent service, and responsibility. This activity is expected to become a replication model in other agencies to improve the quality of ASN character.

Abstract

The Safari Ramadhan is a religious activity conducted by Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) Margonda Depok as part of its community service program aimed at strengthening spiritual values within the academic environment. This activity seeks to internalize the value of gratitude (syukur) among university leaders and staff, under the theme “The Beauty of Fasting with Knowledge and Righteous Deeds.” The program was delivered through interactive lectures and reflective discussions led by a religious scholar and academician. The method employed included educational and participatory approaches that encouraged active engagement. The results indicate a significant increase in participants' spiritual awareness and work motivation. Participants expressed a deeper understanding of gratitude as a foundational value for personal development and professional responsibility. Furthermore, the activity fostered a stronger sense of togetherness and harmony within the university. The Safari Ramadhan program proved to be an effective strategy for character building and spiritual reinforcement in the higher education environment
