Abstract

The purpose of this study were: (1) to find out an increase in students' conceptual mastery in the experimental class applying the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), (2) to find out the relationship between learning with CTL to students' conceptual mastery, and (3) to find out whether there is an influence of the application of CTL to students' conceptual mastery. This research uses quantitative data. The design of this study is one group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted at the Kotaraja Jayapura YPK Middle School. The population in this study were all students of class VIII while the samples in this study were all students of class VIII C. Samples were 31 students. The results showed that: (1) there was an increase in every concept from the results of the N-Gain test score with 0.65 on the concept of vibration; 0.67 on the transverse wave concept, and 0.68 on the longitudinal wave concept; while the average N-gain score is 0.67 and is categorized on the medium category, (2) sig. 0.084> 0.05; then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted; meaning that there is a very low relationship between variables X and Y, and (3) there is no influence between the variables X and Y with sig. values of 0.659> 0.05; then Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected so that there is no significant effect. Based on the results of these studies indicate that the learning approach CTL can improve students' conceptual mastery.Keywords: Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), Vibration, Waves.

Abstract

Science learning modules on soil material and life sustainability have never been made especially in SMP Negeri 2 Manokwari. This research is a research and development (Research & Development) that aims to find out how to make integrated science modules, the feasibility of integrated science modules, and increase learning outcomes in soil material and the sustainability of life. The research sample was carried out in class IX E SMP Negeri 2 Manokwari with a total of 38 students. The results of the study show that: 1) The method of developing an integrated science module based on guided inquiry on soil material and life sustainability starts with the stages of definition, module planning, module draft design, and development. from the validator of 88% in the very feasible category, science teachers by 90% in the very feasible category, and the results of small-scale trials by 89%. 3) Increasing student learning outcomes with an average pretest score of 35.72 to 71.11 in the posttest and n-gain tests an average of 0.55 in the medium category.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of the application of the method to focus Andragogy the level of education, active labor and the harvest on Integrated Pest Management Field School (FFS) in District Aimas Sorong Regency. Implementation of this research was conducted in three groups of farmers in the district forward Aimas ie farmer groups of 25 people, farmer groups and the border of the farmer 25 farmer groups Rukun Wargi 25 people that totaled 75 people. This research is experimental real. For the regression test results of this study indicate that there is a significant contribution between andragogy methods the education level of 0.4%, a simple regression test results showed that, Andragogy method to work activeness of 1.2%, while for methods of andragogy against varabel harvest rice result of 45.7%. Based on the results of this study concluded that there is the influence of the simultaneous application of the method Andragogy the level of education, active labor and the harvest on Integrated Pest Management Field School (FFS) in District Aimas Sorong Regency.

Abstract

This research is a research and development (Research & Development) which aims to find out how to develop physics learning module based on discovery learning on vector material of class X students of SMA KPG Typical "Papua" Merauke. Number of samples of study 21 students of class X MIA-2 SMA KPG Typical "Papua" Merauke. Data analysis techniques used descriptive presentative to determine the feasibility of the module. The results showed that: (1). Module development module starts from potential problem analysis, module planning, module drafting, and development; (2). The feasibility of module from media validator was obtained percentage of average result of 81.96% with very feasible category, material validator equal to 95.62% with very decent category, and result of student response equal to 87.29% with very good category; (3). Excess module that was module contextually according to local wisdom of Papua especially Merauke and improved learners learn result with result of average of n-Gain test equal to 0.64 with medium concept concept category; (4). The shortcomings of the module were the less developed discovery learning stage in the module more broadly.  Keywords: Discovery Learning, Learning Outcomes, and Physics Module.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of developing an integrated science e-module through problem-based learning in improving critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes on vibration and wave material. The research method used was Research and Development. The research sample was class VIII Junior High School 2 Jayapura with a total of 30 students. The results showed that the integrated science e-module for vibration and wave material was very feasible to be used as a teaching material with an average validator rating of 90.89%. The use of integrated science e-modules can improve critical thinking skills and increase student learning outcomes by 0.57 in the medium category and 0.74 in the high category.
