Abstract

West Sulawesi Province is the highest province with stunting above the WHO cut-off (20%), where the incidence of stunting in West Sulawesi is 39.7%. One of the causes of growth and development disorders for babies and children aged 6 to 23 months in Indonesia is the low level of knowledge and practice of providing exclusive breastfeeding, the low quality of complementary feeding. This activity aimed to train and strengthen the practice of giving complementary foods to toddlers by simulating and demonstrating giving complementary foods in accordance with WHO standards. The methods used are counseling, simulation and demonstration of complementary feeding patterns. The target was 30 mothers of toddlers and 5 posyandu cadres. There was an increase in participants' knowledge from 60% to 97% and participants were able to demonstrate the practice of providing MP-ASI based on local food well. It is important to frequently refresh the pattern of giving complementary foods to mothers in groups so that mothers can share knowledge and support each other in practicing the right pattern of giving complementary foods.

Abstract

Anemia is one of the main nutritional problem in Indonesia that can be suffered by all age groups ranging from infants, toddlers, school children, adolescents, adults, and elderly without exception. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between nutritional status with anemia in Toddlers. This study was conducted in Puskesmas Banggae II District East Banggae Majene with observational research with cross sectional study. There were 101 samples of mothers and toddlers taken by purposive sampling. Instrument in this study is dacing to weigh toddlers, questionnaires, and the hemoglobin test. Data were analyzed with chi-square test. The results study showed that there is a relationship between the nutritional status and the incidence of anemia in toddlers.

Abstract

The Primary School Children is a strategic objective to improve nutrition in the community because at this time the development of the child begins to form steady. The problem of stunting or short children can be affected by the lack of various nutrients, inadequate intake of nutrients such as protein, calcium and others will be at risk of child stunting or short. This type of research is descriptive. The sample in this study are as many as 65 people were obtained by purposive sampling. The intake of calcium and vitamin C taken with the formulir recall 24 hours, and the height was measured with use the microtoice. The results showed that there were 76.9% short of nutritional status (stunting) indicator of TB/U, there are 100% of children who have a calcium intake of less, and 96.9% were vitamin C intake less.

Abstract

Stunting, keadaan Balita dimana Tinggi/Panjang Badan lebih pendek dari anak seusianya yang normal, jika dibandingkan dengan standar Z-Score < -2). Daun Kelor, tanakan yang sangat kaya akan zat gizi terutama, Fe, Ca, Zn, dan Protein, salah satu penyebab stunting pada belita adalah kurangnya asupan mineral tersebut. Tujuan dri penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbedaan daya terima dan kandungan zat gizi kue baruas dengan penambahan tepung daun kelor. Metode penelitain Preference Test/Acceptance Test, metode sampling purposie sampling, menggunakan panelis masyarakat sebanyak 87 orang. Uji statistic menggunakan Kruskal Wallis, dan uji Mamm Whitney U , analisa zat gizi, Atomisasi (AAS) untuk Logam, dan kjeldahl untuk Protein. Hasil penelitian, semua jenis kue disukai oleh panelis, nilai > 391,5. ada perbedaan daya terima panelis berdasarkan rasa, aroma, warna. Pada kue 0%,dengan 5%, 10% dan 15%, p-value <0.05. Tidak ada perbedaan penerimaan panelis berdasarkan tekstur kue, tidak ada perbedaan penerimaan pada kue denan pemanbahan tepung daun kelor 5%, 10%, dan 15%, p-value > 0,05; kue penambahan tepung daun kelor nilai rata-rata tertingi sebesar 30,3 adalah kue baruas daun kelor 5% Kesimpulan, semakin tinggi konsentrasi penambahan tepung daun kelor, daya terima panelis semalin berkurng, namun bilai gizi semalin keningkat. Saran, Penelitian selanjutnya, mengunakan kue penambahan tepung daun kelor 5%, dengan memperbaiki rasan warna dengan penambahan BTM dan pewarna alaimi.

Abstract

Background: There are still quite a number of hospitals that leave food that exceeds the minimum standard limit. One of the reasons for this is because the taste and appearance of the food served by the hospital does not meet the patient's acceptance.Objectives: This study aimed to assess the acceptability of regular food and food waste in inpatients at the West Sulawesi Provincial Regional Hospital.Methods: Data collection was carried out using observation, interviews, and recording leftover food that had been distributed to patients using the Comstoc method. The data collection period was carried out at the West Sulawesi Provincial Regional Hospital in June 2023. The total sample was 30 patients. Data analysis involves calculating the food acceptability score and displaying it descriptively.Results: The majority of patients, namely 83,3%, liked the taste of the food and 80% of patients really liked the appearance of the food served. Only 3% said they did not like the taste of food. Most patients produce their food at breakfast (63,3%), lunch (60%) and dinner (53,3).Conclusion: Most of the inpatients at West Sulawesi Provincial Regional Hospital like the taste and appearance of the regular food served. Lack of appetite is the main reason why patients waste food.
