Abstrak. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh minat membaca karya sastra terhadap keterampilan menulis karangan cerpen pada siswa kelas IX SMP swasta Bekasi. Dari hasil analisis data untuk variabel keterampilan menulis karangan cerpen, keragaman datanya ditunjukan dengan adanya nilai variansi 39,322 dan standar deviasinya 6,271. Data dari variabel ini mempunyai nilai rata-rata sebesar 75,24, dan median 75. Maka, dapat disimpulkan keterampilan menulis karangan cepen siswa dalam kategori baik. Begitu juga untuk variabel minat membaca karya sastra, keragaman datanya ditunjukan dengan adanya nilai variansi 169,31 dan standar deviasinya13,01. Data dari variabel ini mempunyai nilai rata-rata sebesar 130,98, dan median 131. Berdasarkan data tersebut, dapat disimpulkan minat membaca karya sastra siswa dalam kategori cukup. Minat membaca karya sastra berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan menulis karangan cerpen dengan koefisien r = 0,60. Minat membaca karya sastra menyumbang sebesar 36% terhadap variasi keterampilan menulis karangan cerpen. Hasil pengujian signifikansi diperoleh thitung (6,709) ttabel (1,99), dan hasil pengujian signifikansi regresi Fhitung (44,992) Ftabel (3.0).Kata Kunci: Pengaruh, Minat Baca Karya Sastra, Menulis Karangan Cerpen.Abstract. The study aimed to determine the effect of interest in reading literary works on short story writing skills in class IX students of Bekasi private junior high school. From the results of data analysis for variable short story writing skills, the diversity of data is shown by the existence of variance value of 39,322 and the standard deviation of 6,271. Data from this variable has an average value of 75.24, and a median of 75. So, it can be concluded that the writing skill of students is in good category. Interest in reading literary works has a significant effect on short story writing skills with a coefficient of r = 0.60. Interest in reading literary works contributed 36% to the variety of short story writing skills.
