Abstract

Abstrak: Fokus kegiatan pengabdian ini berupa workshop dengan tema publish or perish (publikasikan atau tersisihkan) dalam rangka meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam kegiatan menyusun dan mempublikasikan karya tulis ilmiah. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu pelatihan dengan Participatory Learning Method (PLM) yang diimplementasikan pada 17 guru di SMP Negeri 20 Kota Serang. Materi yang diberikan berupa isu yang berkembang dalam dunia pendidikan, inovasi dalam metode dan media pembelajaran, serta metode penelitian pendidikan tindakan kelas. Para guru juga mendapatkan pendampingan penyusunan penulisan karya tulis ilmiah. Hasil kegiatan ini berupa tiga artikel yang telah melalui penyeleksian dipublikasikan di Jurnal GAUSS: Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Serang Raya. Kegiatan ini memberikan indikasi positif bahwa kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan dampak yang baik sebagai permulaan untuk membangun motivasi dalam menulis dan mempublikasikan karya tulis ilmiah. Hasil kegiatan ini menjadi bahan refleksi dan pertimbangan tim pengabdian Universitas Serang Raya dan pihak sekolah untuk bekerjasama menyelenggarakan kegiatan lanjutan dan berkesinambungan.Abstract: The focus of the community learning service program was a ‘publish or perish’ workshop to improve the ability of teachers in writing and publishing scientific papers. Participatory Learning Method (PLM) was used to achieve the goals that implemented in each 17 teacher in SMP Negeri 20 Kota Serang as the participant. The material provided is about education’s issues, innovation in teaching and learning methods, and Classroom Action Reasearch methods. The teachers also received assistance in writing scientific papers. As a result, three selected articles published in the GAUSS Journal: Journal of Mathematics Education, Universitas Serang Raya. The value provides a positive indication to the community learning service program. It has a good impact as a beginning to build motivation in writing and publishing scientific papers. The results of this activity were a reflection and consideration of the Universitas Serang Raya as an organizer team and the school to work together to carry out follow-up and continuous activities.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the characteristics of the book which is sufficient for improving independence of student learning, especially on functional subject with Geogebra program. The research method used is research and development, where the research is intended to develop and produce certain product, then test the effectiveness of these products.  The subjects in this research were students of SMP Negeri 6 Serang City with a limited scale test conducted on 5 students, while field tests were conducted on 15 students. The conclusions obtained in this research are product feasibility test of 78.8% according to experts and students who use teaching materials by utilizing the Geogebra program can improve the self regulated learning compared to the students before using the teaching materials.

Abstract

Penalaran adaptif adalah salah satu komponen kunci dari kemahiran matematika. Dalam perkembangannya diketahui penalaran adaptif didukung oleh aspek non-kognitif individu yakni affective dan behavioral. Sejumlah teori mengungkapkan peluang optimalisasi aspek non-kognitif untuk pengembangan kemampuan penalaran adaptif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menelusuri faktor non-kognitif yang berpeluang memberi dampak pada optimalisasi kemampuan penalaran adaptif melalui pola asosiasi yang muncul pada basis data. Pendekatan penelitian data mining dengan teknik penemuan pola asosiasi (Association Rule Mining) atau Algoritma Apriori digunakan sebagai metode penelusuran faktor. Langkah penelitian yang dilakukan yakni persiapan data (fiksasi instrumen dan penentuan sampel penelitian), pengolahan data (preprocess dan transformation), dan mining dan analisa (menentukan nilai support dan nilai confidence serta interpretasi hasil). Subjek penelitian yakni siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas di lingkungan Kota Serang yang memiliki rentang usia 16-17 tahun. Adapun untuk sampel penelitian diambil sebanyak 100 orang siswa yang mengisi tes kognitif dan non-kognitif. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian dan analisis data diketahui bahwa seorang siswa memiliki kemungkinan 100% berada di level tinggi kemampuan penalaran adaptif jika memiliki dominasi penggunaan otak kiri, self-efficacy di level yang minimal sedang, kecenderungan kepribadian Melankolis dan ­self-directed learning berada di level tinggi. Adaptive reasoning is one of the key components of mathematical proficiency. In its development, it is known that adaptive reasoning is supported by individual non-cognitive aspects, namely affective and behavioral. A number of theories reveal opportunities for optimizing non-cognitive aspects for the development of adaptive reasoning skills. The purpose of this study is to explore non-cognitive factors that have the possibility to impact on optimizing adaptive reasoning skills through association rule appeared in the database. Data mining research approach with association rule mining technique or Apriori Algorithm is used as a factor tracing method. The research steps carried out were data preparation (fixation of instruments and determination of research samples), data processing (preprocess and transformation), and mining and analysis (determining support values and confidence values and interpretation of results). The research subjects were high school students in Kota Serang who have an age range of 16-17 years. As for the research sample, 100 students were taken who filled out cognitive and non-cognitive tests. Based on the results of testing and data analysis, it is identified that a student has a 100% probability of being at a high level of adaptive reasoning skills if he has left brain dominance, self-efficacy is at a minimum level of moderate, Melancholic personality tendencies and self-directed learning are at a high level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan bahan ajar E-Modul interaktif berbasis TPACK untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMP pada materi aljabar dan untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap bahan ajar yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D), dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Desain, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, lembar validasi, dan lembar penilaian siswa. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan adalah analisis data kualitatif dan analisis data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari hasil validasi ahli, serta respon siswa terhadap E-Modul interaktif berbasis TPACK. Pada hasil data penelitian diperoleh bahwa bahan ajar E-Modul interaktif berbasis TPACK layak digunakan dengan tingkat kelayakan 91,6% yang berasal dari uji ahli media, 88,3% dari uji ahli pendidikan matematika dan 95% dari uji ahli matematika . Respon siswa pada uji lapangan baik mulai dari kelengkapan sudah sangat lengkap (63%), tampilan yang menarik (50%), kombinasi warna yang bagus (53%), bahasa yang mudah dimengerti siswa SMP bagus (57%), ilustrasi dapat mewakili materi Aljabar (57%), dan E-Modul dapat membantu kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis (57%). Sehingga diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa bahan ajar E-Modul interaktif berbasis TPACK layak digunakan dan dapat membantu kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VII SMP.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of LKPD teaching materials with the probing prompting learning model to facilitate the mathematical problem solving abilities of junior high school students on the flat-sided building material (cubes and blocks) and to determine student responses to the developed student worksheets (LKPD). This study uses research and development methods with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results of the research data obtained, and it can be concluded that the student worksheet (LKPD) of the probing prompting model is suitable for use with the results of the material test ( x = 33), mathematics education test ( x = 54), and media expert test ( x = 63). Student responses when viewed based on the results of the overall aspect value of the limited scale test, the value ( x = 45.71) is in the very feasible category. Meanwhile, the students' responses to the wide-scale (field) test based on the overall aspect scored (x  =46.81) with a very decent category.

Abstract

Produk berupa LKPD berbasis problem-based learning untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan literasi matematis siswa yang dihasilkan dalam riset ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (RND). RND dilakukan dengan model ADDIE. Subjek yang digunakan dalam riset ini adalah siswa kelas VIII dan IX MTs Negeri 5 Serang. Instrumen tes dan non tes yang digunakan dalam riset ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pengujian skala terbatas dilakukan untuk mengukur kelayakan draf awal LKPD berdasarkan aspek bahasa, ketertarikan, dan kepraktisan LKPD. Selanjutnya, pengujian validasi ahli dilakukan terhadap 2 ahli media pembelajaran dan 2 ahli pendidikan matematika. Sedangkan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis, siswa diberikan instrumen pretes dan postes. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh berdasarkan uji validasi kelayakan LKPD yaitu: rata-rata skor uji validasi ahli media pembelajaran sebesar 90%, serta rata-rata skor uji validasi ahli pendidikan matematika sebesar 92%. Selain itu, skor kemampuan literasi matematis siswa mengalami peningkatan. Adapun gain yang dihasilkan pada uji lapangan ini adalah sebesar 0,73.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in student learning independence by implementing Geogebra-assisted Moodle virtual learning. The method used is the experimental method with a one group pretest posttest research design. The research subjects were class VII students of SMP Negeri 6 Serang City. The data collection technique uses independent learning by distributing questionnaires before and after product trials during limited trials and field trials. An increase in learning independence is known by using the n-gain test to obtain an average result of 0.6 with moderate criteria during the limited test and field test

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to develop E-Module teaching materials based on the CORE learning model to facilitate students' mathematical communication skills on social arithmetic subjcet. This study uses research and development methods with the ADDIE model. The results of the research were, the E-Module teaching materials based on the CORE learning model are feasible to use with a feasibility level of 91,67% coming from the media expert, 75.76% from the mathematics education expert test and 98.33% from the mathematician test. Student responses in the field test on the completeness aspect of the material were very complete (60%), attractive appearance (53.33%), good color combinations (53.33%), good language easily understood by junior high school students (53.33 %), illustrations can represent social Arithmetic material (63.33%), and E-Modules can help students learn independently (70%).

Abstract

This research focuses on assessing the suitability of learning media developed using Articulate Storyline 3. The foundation of local wisdom is integrated into the media to enhance algebraic thinking skills among students. The study analyzes the learning media's design, content, and effectiveness, emphasizing its potential to optimize algebraic thinking. The research employs a comprehensive evaluation, incorporating expert validation, small-scale testing, and field trials. Thirty-seven students were involved as research participants, with seven individuals for the pilot and 30 for the field scale tests. Meanwhile, five experts were employed to validate the designed instructional media. The instrument used to assess the feasibility of the instructional media was a questionnaire consisting of 32 items for student responses and 36 items for expert validators, with 17 points allocated to media experts and 19 to mathematics experts. The results demonstrate a high feasibility rating of 93,38%, indicating the efficacy of the Articulate Storyline 3-based learning media. Furthermore, students responded positively to the media, with an overall interest rating of 88,39%. The research also reveals a moderate increase in algebraic thinking skills, as reflected in the average n-gain index of 0,46 for small-scale testing and 0,39 for field-scale testing. The recommendations for future research include considerations for using free hosting to ease accessibility, enhancing interactivity in the presentation of teaching materials, and expanding the learning media to encompass diverse subjects aligned with students' needs. This study contributes valuable insights into developing and assessing technology-based learning tools, emphasizing their potential to optimize algebraic thinking skills among students.
