Abstract

ABSTRAKDesa Mentaras Kecamatan Dukun Kabupaten Gresik merupakan salah satu sentral pertanian dan peternakan di kabupaten Gresik. Salah satu mata pencaharian yang ditekuni penduduk adalah beternak sapi dan kambing. Pakan memegang peranan yang sangat penting dalam rantai produksi  peternakan. Masalah yang dialami peternak desa mentaras yakni proses penyajian pakan kepada ternak biasanya dilakukan secara langsung, tanpa perlakuan atau manipulasi sebelumnya. Hal ini dapat mengurangi efisiensi dalam penggunaan pakan hijauan. Penyajian pakan tersebut cenderung menghasilkan sisa  makanan karena tidak habis dimakan maupun jatuh ke tanah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi pengolahan pakan ternak untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi masyarakat Desa Mentaras. Metode pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah membuat mesin cacah rumput yang digunakan untuk mencacah rumput pakan ternak baik rumput basah maupun rumput kering. Setelah mesin tersebut selesai, kemudian dilakukan workshop penggunaan mesin untuk mencapai tujuan yang telah direncanakan. Hasil dari pengabdian ini diwujudkanlah mesin sesuai dengan konsep desain. Mesin ini menggunakan motor listrik berdaya 1 Hp dan mempunyai kecepatan putar motor 1420 RPM. Kapasitas produksi mesin ini yakni 100 kg/jam untuk pencacahan rumput basah dan 70 Kg/jam untuk pencacahan rumput kering. Dengan adanya mesin ini maka rumput ternak telah tercacah dengan ukuran 3-4 cm dan dapat ditambahkan bahan lainnya guna menambah gizi ternak, sehingga lebih sehat dan gemuk. Kata kunci: mesin cacah; pakan ternak; ternak. ABSTRACTMentaras Village, Dukun District, Gresik Regency is one of the centers of agriculture and animal husbandry in Gresik Regency. One of the livelihoods occupied by residents is raising cows and goats. Feed plays a very important role in the livestock production chain. The problem experienced by farmers in Mentaras village is that the process of serving feed to livestock is usually done directly, without any previous treatment or manipulation. This can reduce efficiency in the use of forage feeds. The presentation of the feed tends to produce food residue because it is not eaten or falls to the ground. This activity aims to provide solutions for animal feed processing to overcome the problems faced by the Mentaras Village community. This community service method is to make a grass chopper machine that is used to chop animal feed grass, both wet grass and dry grass. After the machine is finished, then a workshop on the use of the machine is carried out to achieve the planned goals. The result of this service is that the machine is realized according to the design concept. This machine uses an electric motor with a power of 1 HP and has a motor rotation speed of 1420 RPM. The production capacity of this machine is 100 kg/hour for chopping wet grass and 70 kg/hour for chopping dry grass. With this machine, the livestock grass has been chopped with a size of 3-4 cm and other ingredients can be added to increase the nutrition of the livestock, making it healthier and fatter. keywords: chopping machine; animal feed; livestock

Abstract

Energy is something that cannot be separated from human life because every activity carried out requires and produces energy. From some energy sources, there are activities carried out by the human body which are the potential to produce energy that can be utilized. One of the human activities that are often done is walking and running so that from this movement energy sources can be created. In this study, the calculation and design of backpacks with changes in length variations, variations in spring constants, and optimization of generators to produce electrical energy are better. This research began by designing a backpack that generates electricity by utilizing the power of human walking. Then the determination of product requirements is related to gathering information and products to be designed. Information obtained from previous research journals. Next, a study was carried out on the design of a backpack related to the calculation of the frequency of human gait needed to move a backpack and the calculation of springs. In this study, the results obtained are the voltage generated when the human condition goes by 3.863 watts, and when the human condition goes upstairs by 4.56 watts, while the running condition is 5.39 watts. So that the more movements humans make, the higher the voltage generated. And the resulting spring constant value is Ktotal = 22,612 N / m, and for the unit spring constant is 11,306 N / m. While the magnitude of the force produced by the load is 17.48 N.

Abstract

Industrial industrial products on the market are manipulating between original and imitation products, products that are imitated are sold at lower prices and have lower quality. However, the product is in great demand by the public. The research aims to determine the quality level of the original and imitation front axle, both from the hardness, and the chemical composition of the material, and to compare the prices given with quality. This research was conducted by testing the chemical composition using a spectrometer and brinell hardness testing carried out in the STTQ Bungah Gresik mechanical engineering laboratory. In addition, the research uses materials with two front wheel shafts for testing chemical composition with six wheel shaft specimens both original and imitation. Research with spectrometer testing showed that the shaft is included in the low carbon steel group with an original carbon content of 0.192% and an imitation shaft of 0.155%, also included in the low alloy steel group because the number of alloys is less than 2.5%, while in hardness testing brinell found the original shaft harder than the imitation shaft, either on the surface or inside with a percentage of 52.14% difference between the two. For the comparison between price and quality given between the two shafts, the percentage where the value of the comparison of violence is greater is around 49.97% to 52.14% rather than the price ratio of around 20% given by the producer, it would be better for consumers to buy original shafts than the imitation.

Abstract

The use of fuel in the automotive world is very important because it can improve the performance of the fuel motor. Fuel with high octane numbers will be able to boost the performance of the fuel motor. The selection of the right fuel will also be a reference in the process of motor maintenance in the automotive world in Indonesia, now again being incessantly making creations and innovations. This research is to find out the power, torque, and average effective pressure (BMEP). The research method used is an experimental method using two fuels, namely Pertamax 92 and Akra 92. This needs to be done because both of these fuels have the same octane number as the performance test against the need to prove which one can be used for gasoline type vehicles. From the research results obtained the power, torque, and the firstx BMEP 92 are higher than the power, torque and BMEP akra 92.
