Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the learning model of circuit learning to the learning outcomes of class VII first semester students of SMP Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung in the academic year 2019/2020. This research is a quasi-experimental study using two classes as the experimental class and the control class. The population in this study was all students of class VII SMP Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung as many as 278 students divided into seven classes. The sample in this study was determined using cluster random sampling technique. Class VII D as an experimental class and class VII F as a control class. The instrument used in this study was in the form of essay test questions. Based on the results of research and discussion, the circuit learning model affects the learning outcomes of Grade VII students of SMP Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung. These effects can be seen from the differences in learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class.

Abstract

Abstract: The research started from the low critical thinking ability of students in mathematics lessons in class VIII D SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung in the 2020/2021 school year. The purpose of this research is to improve students' mathematical critical thinking skills through the application of the Problem Posing learning model. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII D SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung, amounting to 27 people, while the object in this study was the students' critical thinking ability in participating in mathematics learning. Data collection techniques using test and observation techniques. The data analysis technique used in this study consisted of: 1) analysis of observation results, 2) analysis of critical thinking ability test results. To check the degree of trust worthiness of the data, this study used triangulation of other research sources, namely school principals, mathematics teachers, and students. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there is an increase in students' critical thinking skills in learning mathematics. The improvement of students' critical thinking skills in learning mathematics is as follows: in the precycle who passed there were 5 people or 18.52%, and 22 people did not pass or 81.48%, increased in the first cycle, namely 9 people (33.33%) who passed and 18 people (66.67%) did not pass, and in the second cycle there were 21 people (77.78%) who passed well and 6 people (22.22%) did not pass. Abstract

This research is a classroom action research which consists of three cycles. The purpose of this research is to improve mathematics learning outcomes by applying an open-ended approach. The subjects in this study were seventh grade students of SMP Nusantara Bandar Lampung in the even semester of the 2020/2021 school year. Each cycle consists of three meetings with two meetings for learning and one meeting for tests or evaluations. Data collection techniques used in this study using observation and test techniques. The data analysis technique was carried out by analyzing the results of observations and analysis of the results of the measurement test of learning outcomes. The results of data analysis showed an increase in student learning outcomes in each cycle. The percentage of students who got more than or equal to 70 in the first cycle was 41.93%, the second cycle was 51.61%, and the third cycle was 80.64%. Thus the percentage of students who scored more than or equal to 70 from cycle I to cycle II increased by 9.68%% and from cycle II to cycle III increased by 29.03%. The results obtained indicate that the application of an open-ended approach can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental research. This study aims todetermine the effectiveness of the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) type ofcooperative learning model in terms of students' mathematical communicationskills using a posttest-only control-group design. The population in this study wereall students of class VIII SMP Tri Sukses Natar in the academic year 2021/2022.The sample in this study were students of class VIIIB and VIIIC determined bypurposive sampling technique. The data in this study are quantitative data onstudents' mathematical communication skills obtained through tests of students'mathematical communication skills with questions in the form of descriptions. Theresults obtained are the average mathematical communication ability in theexperimental class is 75.46, while in the experimental class is 63.43. Theachievement of indicators of students' mathematical communication skills in theexperimental class was 74.57%, while in the control class it was 62.65%. Based onthe results and discussion, it was concluded that the TGT type of cooperativelearning model was effective in terms of the mathematical communication skills ofeighth grade students of SMP Tri Sukses Natar in the odd semester of the 2021/2022academic year
