Abstract

The life of a pagan prophet from Moab named Balaam is an exciting lesson about leadership to study. This prophet represents a materialistic lifestyle, disobedience to God, and disobedience of service in the name of God. His ministry was in a historical setting where Israel also experienced severe moral decadence as God's people. This article will reveal and analyze how Balaam's role as a reflection of contemporary leadership in the church is strongly influenced by the concepts of materialism, hedonic lifestyle, and highly pay-oriented leadership. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, this study uses some works of literature as the main study. Through Balaam's life, contemporary church leaders could learn about the importance of integrity and genuine ministry motivation. The exemplary aspect is an essential factor that leaders must own. We also found that leaders need to serve with a servant spirit, as Jesus had shown. Only in this way can a leader have an honorable and consistent life in the values of the truth of God's word.

Abstract

During the current covid-19 pandemic, the implementation of worship activities is very limited. One of the worship programs as a means of church education that has a very strong impact is Sunday School. Where currently Sunday school activities are very limited because children are encouraged to reduce direct interaction. So that the lessons that are carried out can only be done online. Therefore, the purpose of writing this article is to describe the role of Sunday school teachers so that they are maximized in teaching. Through the descriptive qualitative method, it can be concluded that the Actualization of the Creative Management of Sunday School Teachers in the Pandemic Mass. First, all parties understand that Sunday school service during the Covid-19 Pandemic is a challenge that must be resolved by all parties. Both Sunday school teachers understand and understand the nature of Creative Sunday school teachers. Because creativity has a very positive impact on children's spiritual and cognitive. So that it is necessary to actualize the management of Sunday School Teacher Creativity, namely: displaying video images, games, and quizzes will make children clearer and understand better what the Sunday school teacher conveys.AbstrakDi masa pandemi Covid-19 saat ini, pelaksanaan kegiatan-kegiatan ibadah sangat dibatasi. Salah satu program ibadah sebagai sarana pendidikan gereja yang sangat terasa dampaknya adalah Sekolah Minggu. Dimana saat ini kegiatan sekolah Minggu sangat terbatas, karena anak-anak dihimbau untuk mengurangi interaksi secara langsung. Sehingga pengajaran-pengajaran yang dilaksankan hanya bisa dilakukan secara daring. Oleh sebab itu tujuan penulisan dalam artikel ini dapat mendeskripsikan peran guru sekolah minggu supaya maksimal dalam mengajar. Melalui metode kualitatif deskriptif dapat disimpilkan bahwa Aktualisasi Manajement Kreatifitas Guru Sekolah Minggu di Massa Pandemi bahwa. Pertama semua pihak mengerti dalam pelayanan sekolah Minggu di Masa Pandemi Covid-19 merupakan tantangan yang harus diselesaikan oleh semua pihak. Kedua para guru sekolah minggu mengerti dan memahami  hakikat Guru sekolah minggu yang Berkreatifitas. Sebab kreatifitas sangat berdampak positif bagi kerohanian anak dan kognitif. Sehingga diperlukan aktualisasi management Kreatifitas Guru Sekolah Minggu yaitu: tampilan gambar video, permainan, serta kuis akan membuat anak-anak menjadi lebih jelas dan paham dengan baik tentang materi apa yang disampaikan oleh guru sekolah minggu.

Abstract

The conflicts that occur in Indonesia are a consequence of the existence of a multicultural society in terms of ethnic, cultural, language, and religious diversity. A lack of awareness of respecting diversity will lead to an attitude that thinks the group is the most correct, so there is the potential for turmoil and phenomena that give rise to disharmony. That is why the inculcation of the values of religious moderation is an opportunity to create a mature pattern of thinking in society so that the harmony of Indonesian society with the existing pluralism can be realized. In this writing, the qualitative method is applied using a literature study and a qualitative descriptive approach. The description in this study certainly shows that the role of Christian education teachers greatly determines the creation of mature human beings in society. The results of this study show that Christian education teachers must instill the values of religious moderation based on stories like Jesus taught. Christian religious education teachers are exemplary agents who must be able to set an example through their actions and speech. In addition, Christian education teachers implement learning curriculum innovations by including the values of moderation.  AbstrakKonflik yang terjadi di Indonesia merupakan konsekuensi dari keberadaan masyarakat yang multikultural, baik dalam keragaman suku, budaya, bahasa, hingga agama. Kurangnya kesadaran menghargai keberagaman akan mengarah pada sikap yang menganggap kelompoknya paling benar, sehingga berpotensi terjadinya gejolak serta fenomena-fenomena yang memunculkan disharmonisasi. Itu sebabnya penanaman nilai-nilai moderasi beragama menjadi suatu peluang terciptanya pola pemikiran masyarakat yang dewasa sehingga keharmonisan masyarakat Indonesia dengan pluralisme yang ada dapat terwujud. Dalam penulisan ini metode yang di aplikasikan adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan studi pustaka dan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Uraian dalam penelitian ini tentu memperlihatkan bahwa peranan guru PAK sangat menentukan terciptanya manusia yang dewasa dalam bermasyarakat. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah guru PAK harus menanmkan niali-nilai moderasi beragama berdsarkan kisah-kisah yang seperti Yesus ajarkan. Guru pendidikan agama Kristen merupakan agen keteladanan harus mampu memberikan contoh melalui sikap perbuatan maupun tutur katanya. Selain itu guru PAK melaksanakan inovasi kurikulum pembelajaran dengan mencantumkan nilai-nilai moderasi.

Abstract

The rapid development of the era in the technology field has significantly impacted aspects of human life. It is the same with teaching and learning activities in Sunday schools. The activities also use electronic tools such as hardware and software as learning media. Many digital platforms have emerged that are used as teaching media, including YouTube. This research was conducted to find out whether the YouTube platform is effectively used as a medium in Sunday School learning. The authors applied qualitative field research methods at the Golden Gate Community Church Semarang (G2CC) in this study. The data collection technique in this study is by conducting observations and interviews. This research makes Sunday school learning more accessible for students to understand. Sunday school learning activities have become more attractive. Teachers can implement YouTube-based learning media well. Learning media with the YouTube platform is one of the media that can be an effective learning tool for both students and teachers themselves.  AbstrakPerkembangan jaman dalam bidang teknologi yang begitu pesat memberikan dampak yang sangat besar dalam aspek kehidupan manusia. Sama halnya dengan kegiatan belajar mengajar di sekolah minggu, dimana saat ini kegiatan yang dilakukan juga menggunakan alat-alat elektronik dalam bentuk hardware maupun software sebagai media pembelajaran. Banyak platform digital yang bermunculan yang digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran salaha satunya adalah YouTube. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai sebuah tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah platform YouTube efektif digunakan sebagai media dalam pembelajaran Sekolah Minggu. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menerapkan metode kualitatif penelitian lapangan di gereja Golden Gate Community Church Semarang (G2CC). Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan melakukan observasi serta wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran sekolah minggu menjadi lebih mudah dipahami oleh peserta didik. Kegiatan pembelajaran sekolah minggu menjadi lebih menarik. Guru-guru mampu mengimplementasikan media pembelajaran berbasis YouTube secara baik. Media pembelajaran dengan platform YouTube merupakan salah satu media yang dapat menjadi sarana pembelajaran yang efektif baik bagi peserta didik maupun guru-guru itu sendiri.
