Abstract

It has a long history of teaching English literature and language in this sub-continent. The European colonial rulers introduced this teaching with the motive of serving their own purpose, but paradoxically this teaching has benefited the people of this soil as well in many ways. From the very beginning, the English department of any college or university has been treated as one of the most prestigious departments that have produced the best citizens of this soil. But recently the teaching scenario of these departments in Bangladesh is being severely affected owing to different kinds of changes that have occurred in the social and academic arenas of the country. It is now the demand of the present time that the English departments of the universities of our country should take proper steps to address those problems properly and bring back its reputation. The present study attempts to find out the problems that are affecting the teaching and learning process of these departments and thereby damaging the glory and reputation of them, and also to provide some suggestions to cope with those problems.

Abstract

Purpose: Mobile finance services have grown in Bangladesh, reaching a large population without access to traditional banks. This research investigates how mobile banking affects Bangladesh's economy. The paper analyzes mobile financial services in the nation and identifies growth prospects. Furthermore, the study will examine the potential impact of mobile financial services on improving the quality of life for low-income persons and their role in combating poverty. Methodology/approach: In order to gather data on the adoption and utilization of mobile financial services in Bangladesh, the research will integrate primary and secondary sources, such as surveys, interviews, and case studies. The study will also examine the socioeconomic and demographic factors influencing the country's adoption of mobile financial services. Results/findings: The study also analyzed mobile financial services' economic benefits and potential drawbacks. The study will focus on the potential impact of mobile finance services on enhancing financial inclusion, expanding access to credit, and promoting economic growth in Bangladesh. The thesis will examine the potential impact of mobile financial services on enhancing financial literacy among the population and boosting the nation's GDP. Limitations: Bangladesh's Information and Communication (ICT) strategy highlights the government's digital initiatives and policy goals as weak regarding digital inclusion. Consequently, the extent to which digital services and financial technology (fintech) will provide financial inclusion in rural Bangladesh remains uncertain. To achieve financial inclusion in the digital economy through digital services, rural populations must have access to digital equipment and supportive social contexts. Contribution: The research will investigate Bangladesh's mobile banking regulatory system and suggest improvements to protect consumers. It will also examine mobile financial service providers' problems and opportunities, as well as solutions. This article seeks to study mobile banking services in Bangladesh and find development opportunities. The findings will inform policymakers, financial institutions, and service providers in Bangladesh and other developing nations where mobile banking proliferates. Abstract

Digitization of governance at the level of Upazila (sub-district) in Bangladesh has brought significant changes, which have changed the way individuals access the services of the government. These developments have not benefited all people equally especially in areas that are remote and rural. This research paper identifies some achievements and ongoing challenges since it explores the relationship between e-service delivery and its impact on the level of trust and satisfaction among the people in Upazila administrations. The study is a synthesis of the findings of government reports, official publications, and 202025 research papers relying on the mixed-method approach and secondary research. Although qualitative data can shed some light on the experiences, attitudes, and trust in the local government, quantitative analyses assess trends in the satisfaction of the population and service provision. The research reports that the digital services such as online registering of births, property records, and processing of business licenses have significantly enhanced convenience, accountability and transparency as well as public trust. Government services are perceived by people as more reliable save money and time and less bureaucratic hurdles. Barriers still exist, but poor internet connectivity, the lack of digital literacy, inconsistent service quality, and data security concerns. The report recommends the increased connection, promotion of digital literacy, ensuring the safety of datas managed, standardization of the quality of services everywhere within Upazila, and integration of the citizen feedback into the resolution of these issues. As such, this research reveals that whereas technology helps in the promotion of efficiency, inclusive access, comprehension trust are required to bring some real transformation in the provision of public services. It is to say that Digital Bangladesh still needs to be a person-centered journey but not entirely a system-based one.
