Abstract

Bandung Wetan District is one of the Districts in West Java Province. Camat as administrator of government, development and community in his area in the sense of coordinating the best of community empowerment activities, where the community is the main actor of development while the government is obliged to direct, guide and create an atmosphere that supports the community activities. The purpose of this research is survey research directly to the object of research with descriptive type with predetermined informants. The data in this study used data collection techniques in the form of; observation and interviews with informants. Through one of the programs issued by the Government of the City of Bandung, the Regional Development Empowerment Innovation Program (PIPPK) which aims to increase community empowerment in the context of regional development. The sub-district also participated in realizing the program. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the role of the sub-district through the Empowerment of Territorial Development Innovation Program (PIPPK) has not been maximally reached.
