Abstract

This research is aimed to analyze and to know an error of the passive voice in the simple present, passive is needed in daily speaking and writing activity. In this research, the writers use a qualitative method and took 25 students as a sample of this research. While the result of this research, among others: 1. there are 5 students who error on the use of verb, the students are looked confused to choose between Verb 2 and Also Verb 3 (Past Participle), the student cannot distinguish between irregular verb, regular verb and Verb 3 (Past Participle), 2. 4 students’ error on the use to be they can distinguish to be in the passive voice with the use to be in past tense, 3. 6 students’ error in the use to be and verb on passive voice of simple present. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengetahui kesalahan passive voice pada simple present, passive voice sangat dibutuhkan dalam kegiatan berbicara dan menulis sehari-hari. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif dan mengambil 25 siswa sebagai sampel penelitian. Adapun Hasil penelitian ini antara lain: 1. ada 5 siswa yang melakukan kesalahan dalam penggunaan kata kerja, siswa terlihat bingung untuk memilih antara kata kerja 2 dan kata kerja 3 (Past Participle), siswa tidak dapat membedakan antara kata kerja tidak teratur, kata kerja reguler dan Kata kerja 3 (Past Participle), 2. Ada 4 siswa yang melakukan kesalahan dalam menggunakan to be, para siswa tidak dapat membedakan to be passive voice dan past tense 3. Ada 6 siswa yang salah dalam penggunaan menjadi dan kata kerja pada passive voice.

Abstract

Semantic is a branch of linguistics that studies the meaning contained in a language, code, or another type of representation. In this research, the writer tries to analyze the semantic meaning of sontoloyo politician is conveyed by Mr. Joko widodo that use qualitative research design because this method is more focused on analyzing the meaning diction of sontoloyo politician which is expected to know core meaning and aim from this diction. The result of this research can be concluded that Sontoloyo politician has a connotative meaning, because the sontoloyo politician has meant that explain " the people who have political positions, political experts, and expert statesmen as like legislative, executive and judicial positions who have wrong behavior in carrying out their duties" in this statement has a communicative value and an expression based on intention must have conceptual content that not only includes physical characteristics, but also social and psychological.Semantic adalah cabang linguistik yang mempelajari makna yang terkandung dalam bahasa, kode, atau jenis representasi lainnya. Dalam penelitian ini penulis mencoba menganalisis makna semantik politisi sontoloyo yang disampaikan oleh Pak Joko Widodo yang menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif, karena metode ini lebih fokus pada analisis makna diksi politisi sontoloyo yang diharapkan mengetahui makna inti dan tujuan dari diksi tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa politisi Sontoloyo memiliki makna konotatif, karena politisi sontoloyo memiliki makna yang menjelaskan “orang-orang yang memiliki posisi politik, pakar politik, dan pakar negarawan seperti posisi legislatif, eksekutif dan yudikatif yang memiliki perilaku salah dalam menjalankan tugasnya ”dalam pernyataan ini memiliki nilai komunikatif dan ekspresi berdasarkan pada konten konseptual murni dan tidak hanya mencakup karakteristik fisik, tetapi juga properti sosial dan psikologis. Key Words: Semantic Analysis and Sontoloyo Politician

Abstract

This research is aimed to know how do the students get second language acquisition and this research used qualitative descriptive method to analysis second language acquisition in the student. The result shows there were 15 people from 20 students who get a second language through receptive, In this process the students need at least 2 meetings in the teaching process to mastery second language acquisition although in one semester they only can mention vocabulary. Whereas there are 5 students who can speak several words and begin to form short phrases, although grammatically is not correct, this stage is called the early production process of second language acquisition. Besides that, the second language acquisition of students is not only obtained from English language teaching but also other factors that influence it, the result shows there were 5 students who get second language acquisition from YouTube social media and three of them take English language coursesPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana cara siswa memperoleh penguasaan bahasa kedua dan penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk menganalisis penguasaan bahasa kedua pada siswa. Hasilnya menunjukkan ada 15 orang dari 20 siswa yang mendapatkan bahasa kedua melalui penerimaan, Dalam proses ini para siswa membutuhkan setidaknya 2 pertemuan dalam proses pengajaran untuk menguasai penguasaan bahasa kedua meskipun dalam satu semester mereka hanya bisa menyebutkan kosa kata. Sedangkan ada 5 siswa yang dapat berbicara beberapa kata dan mulai membentuk frasa pendek, meskipun secara tata bahasa tidak benar, tahap ini disebut proses produksi awal penguasaan bahasa kedua. Selain itu, akuisisi bahasa kedua siswa tidak hanya diperoleh dari pengajaran bahasa Inggris tetapi juga faktor-faktor lain yang mempengaruhinya, hasilnya menunjukkan ada 5 siswa yang mendapatkan akuisisi bahasa kedua dari media sosial YouTube dan tiga dari mereka mengambil kursus bahasa Inggris. Keyword : Second Language Acquisition and Student

Abstract

This research focuses on children's vocabulary mastery of English as a Foreign Language from YouTube Video, whereas the writer uses the qualitative descriptive method to investigate the way mastery of vocabulary in the children, it will analyze the form of vocabulary is mastered, the participant in this research is the 6- and 7-years old child. The data collecting technique used questionnaires and interview to explore the type of vocabulary and the vocabulary mastered by children in this research, the writer chose 6 years old and 7 years old children as a participant. The result of this research shows the type of English vocabulary produced by children is included vocabulary receptive to English vocabulary where a 6-year-old can master 1 verb, 6 Nouns, and 1 Phrase, the child can mention some vocabulary and the child can know the meaning of vocabularies, but the child finds difficulties to write the vocabularies on the paper, Whereas the 7-year-old can produce 6 verbs, 6 nouns, 2 phrases and 4 sentences from the YouTube Channel, the child can mention and understand the meaning of vocabularies, besides that the child can write the vocabularies fluently.
