Abstract

Setiap institusi mengalami perkembangan dari masa ke masa. Perkembangan ini diiringi oleh pertumbuhan volume arsip yang tercipta seiring aktivitas administratif yang dilakukan. Arsip yang tercipta berguna sebagai bukti kepemilikan aset, bahan evalusai, dan bahan pengambilan keputusan.Meskipun arsip memiliki banyak fungsi vital, banyak institusi yang masih mengalami kesulitan dalam mengelola, begitu juga dengan arsip perguruan tinggi. Peran lembaga kearsipan bagi institusi perguruan tinggi bukan hanya meringankan beban dalam mengelola arsip, namun juga membantu institusinya dalam menjalani tuntutan kemajuan zaman yang semakin cepat berkembang.Ini artinya lembaga kearsipan perguruan tinggi memiliki peran yang sangat strategis. Dalam rangka melaksanakan manajemen kearsipan, lembaga kearsipan perguran tinggi membutuhkan sistem kearsipan. Sistem tersebut seharusnya dijalankan oleh teamwork, dengan perencanaan-perencanaan yang matang, pelaksanaan yang solid, dan evaluasi yang terukur. Untuk menjalankan sistem tersebut dibutuhkan sumberdaya manusia yang andal, sarana dan prasarana yang memadai, dana yang mencukupi, serta adanya unit khusus yang bertugas mengelola arsip.

Abstract

Archives have a broad role for organizations. That is why it needs to be published. Archive publication is an effort to reach the public. Virtual exhibitions is one of the outreach efforts that can be done during the current COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to analyze one of the archival outreach programs at the Gadjah Mada University Archives. Some things that are analyzed are the process of virtual exhibition activities, contents, and the factors that influence the visit to the official UGM Archives page. Through a case study approach, this study seeks to describe some things analyzed. The results showed that the virtual exhibition process was carried out systematically and continuously, content coverage is quite diverse, and the factors that influence a visit to the official UGM Archives page can be identified.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Information literacy programs systematically help individuals develop skills to find, evaluate, and use information. This study analyses effective strategies in library information literacy programs in the academic environment. This research uses a mixed-method sequential explanatory; this study began with collecting quantitative data from 72 librarians at various universities in Indonesia, followed by qualitative interviews with library leaders. The results of the study show that the competence of librarians influences the success of the library information literacy program, the availability of relevant programs, and the active participation of students. This study concludes the need for continuous training for librarians, designing programs that are responsive to the needs of students, and strengthening cooperation between libraries and faculties to increase the effectiveness and participation in information literacy programs in the academic environment. This research emphasizes that developing strategic and adaptive information literacy programs can improve students' information literacy skills, support academic achievement, and strengthen the role of libraries as learning centres in universities.
