Abstract

Research on M. Basiuni Imran and Said b. Umar Al-Kedah has been carried out by many researchers, including Luqman, who studies the description of the interpretation SevenSurah by M. Basiuni Imran, M. Nazri, examines the application of qiraat in the interpretation of Nurul Ihsan, and several other researchers.Thus in general, the research that has been done is conceptual in nature, has not studied the esoteric aspects in the interpretation of M. Basiuni Imran and Said b. Umar al-Kedah. Based on these reasons, this research is important to be conducted.This articleislibrary research and usesthe theory of power relation and actor-network. The conclusions of this article are: First, the Esoteric Interpretation of Qs. Al-Fatihah; Said b. Umar and Basiuni Imran both interpreted literal-textualism, then later interpreted esoteric-theosophical interpretations. Second, the Meaning of Qs Interpretation. Al-Fatihah;  Basiuni Imran understands and interprets that in general-textual Qs. al-Fatihah contains an esoteric meaning, while Said b. Umar understands and interprets parochially that only a few verses in Qs. Al-Fatihah has an esoteric dimension. Third, the Emergence of Esoteric Interpretation Visualization in Qs. Al-Fatihah: 1) Intellectual relations between teachers and students which are the basis for regulation and normalization of interpreters' thoughts; 2) The historical and anthropic-social that developed before and when the commentary was written, and 3) The relations and tendencies of Sufism or tarekat literature that develop in the reality of society so that they hegemony and form the esoteric interpretation of M. Basini Imran and Said b. Umar.

Abstract

Muhammad Syahrur's thoughts in several disciplines of discussion are quite interesting for researchers to discuss, both in the fields of hadith, interpretation, fiqh and al-Qur'an hermeneutics. The main theory that is of great interest to researchers in Syahrur's thinking is the limit theory. And it is from this limit theory that Syahrur constructs his thoughts on many Islamic themes, including women's clothing, genitalia and so on. So in this study, we will examine in more detail about the construction of aurat and women's clothing according to Muhammad Syahrur. This research is a library research with the main sources are two literatures by M. Syahrur, namely: Al-Kitabu wa Al-Qur`anu and Nahwa Al-Jadidah li Al-Fiqh Al-Islamiy. While the secondary sources are other relevant literature. The conclusion of this article is that the construction of Muhammad Syahrur's thoughts on genitalia, headscarves, zinah (jewelry), and all women's clothing comes from the limit theory (hudud). According to him, the upper and lower limits depend on the extent to which a person is ashamed. However, not all of his thoughts tend to contradict the majority of Muslim scholars, because before he concluded the limit theory (hudud), he also explained about the derivation of words, such as headscarves, khimar, and others.

Abstract

This study examines the vernacularization of tafsir Ᾱyāt aṣ-Ṣiyām by M. Basiuni Imran which has not been done by many researchers. This type of research is library research with the primary data of manuscript tafsir Ᾱyāt aṣ-Ṣiyām by M. Basiuni Imran. The analytical model used is a narrative analysis and by using the concept of vernacularization. The conclusion of this article shows that vernacularization is not only a process of translating from Arabic to a local language but there are elements of locality that are accommodated in the translation process. The form of vernacularization is divided into two, namely: 1) vernacularization in the form of diction and language; 2) vernacularization in the form of narrative or interpretation content. Likewise in the tafsir Ᾱyāt aṣ-Ṣiyām , the form of vernacularization in the interpretation belongs to the vernacularization of diction or language, namely the use of the words Uwas (remember), Tembawang (a former farming hut), and Sungai (a description of the reality of West Kalimantan).

Abstract

Intellectual relationships and domicile can influence shaping a person's mindset. Including Said bin Umar is a scholar who concentrates on Sufism or tarekat. Therefore, it is essential to explore its interpretation when interpreting Q.S. al-Fatihah, because there could be nuances of the esoteric-Sufistic interpretation carried out by Said bin Umar. This research is a type of library research with the formal object of Tafsir Nurul Ihsan by Said bin Umar, and the material object is the interpretation of Q.S. al Fatihah. The conclusion of this article explains that Said bin Umar internalized his esoteric-Sufistic interpretation when interpreting verse 1 (basmalah) and verse 5 of Surah al-Fatihah. As for the factors that shape the emergence of esoteric-Sufistic reasoning, Said bin Umar when interpreting Q.S. al-Fatihah, are 1) The intellectual relationship of his teachers, 2) Anthropic-social configuration before and during comment writing, and 3) Relationships and tendencies of other literary with a written interpretation.

Abstract

This study aims to expose the history of Islam in Ketapang by referring to Tujuh and Sembilan sacred tombs and narrating the reception (in the living al-Quran) of the community on the grave and its elements (part of the Quranic text, motifs, and others). This research is field research, using a narrative-analytic model, as well as using a historical approach and the living Quran theory (on reception). The results of this study are: 1) The history of Tujuh and Sembilan sacred tombs are the tombs of pious people who spread Islam in Ketapang around the 14th century A.D. Second, the typology of people's reception in the sentence kullu nafsin dzaiqatul maut is represented in three forms of reception, namely, hermeneutical or exegesis reception, aesthetic reception, and functional reception.

Abstract

Ideally, interpretations written by Indonesian mufassir tend to display Indonesian locality. Therefore, this paper will explain the existence of the locality and historicity of Hamka when interpreting Qs. Al-Falaq [113]: 3-4. This type of study is a literature review with a descriptive-analytic method and uses the theory of epistemology. The formal object of study uses the interpretation of al-Azhar, as well as the material object is the interpretation of Qs. Al-Falaq [113]: 3-4. The conclusion of this article explains that: First, the epistemology of interpretation of Qs. Al-Falaq [113]: 3-4, sources of interpretation using munasabah, hadith, scholars' opinions, and ra'yu (reason). Interpretation methodology: Tahlili (analysis/detail), contextual approach, with the style of al-Adab wa-al-Ijtima'i (socio-cultural). The validity of coherent interpretation is coherent with the interpretation of the previous verse, that is, they both reveal illustrations. Pragmatically, according to the reality of the community, especially the community as an audience and target in da'wah activities.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the lack of studies that explain the interpretation shift on the theological-metaphysical verses in the Qur'an, including verses about heaven combined with a philosophical theoretical approach. Therefore, the researcher is interested in studying this theme further. This study explains the paradigm shift in the interpretation of heaven illustration in the Indonesian interpretation, namely M. Quraish Shihab. The theory used is the paradigm shift theory introduced by Thomas Kuhn. The conclusion of this article shows that there is a shift in the meaning of the illustration of heaven in each generation of interpretation in Indonesia, namely on the themes 1) The area of ??heaven; 2) The river that flows under heaven ; 3) Fruits in heaven; 4) Couples and nymphs in heaven; and 5) Green color and adornment for humans in heaven. In understanding these themes, M. Quraish Shihab tends to be rationalist and contextualist according to the current context. The thoughts that motivate his interpretive arguments are inseparable from the historicity of his life experiences, such as his intellectual career, organizational experience, teachers and the people of Indonesia as the targets of his interpretations. So all of that becomes a regulation and panoptiation in shaping his intellectual reasoning, including in the interpretation of the verses that illustrate heaven.

Abstract

Scientific advances occur in all disciplines. The sciences of the Qur'an are no exception. In the West, a woman was born who continues to shock the Islamic world to this day. The name is Amina Wadud. He is a professor of Islamic Studies who leads Friday prayers as an imam, both the imam and the speaker are women, and the congregation is made up of both men and women. Only Amina Wadud dared to lead Friday prayers, more than 1,400 years after the Prophet Muhammad preached. Amina Wadud didn't do this haphazardly, but she also had reasons. Its foundation is monotheistic hermeneutics. A person's marital status should not affect his or her ability to worship; as long as he is monotheistic, he is allowed to worship. In addition, the geographic environment in which Amina Wadud lives is the main reason for doing so. This study aims to consider Amina Wadud's views on polygamy and women's rights based on Islamic Sharia. The method used is descriptive qualitative. This research is included in the category of heritage research (library research), which collects data through books, articles, writings related to research. Research results show that polygamy is allowed under certain circumstances. Which relates to the custody process.

Abstract

The spread of Covid-19 has many impacts such as on health and other social dimensions. Everything seemed to get a butterfly effect from the Covid-19 pandemic. During the Covid-19 Pandemic era, the number of divorce cases at the Manna Religious Court increased compared to the previous year. This study uses a combination of field research for primary data and library research for secondary data with a descriptive-analytical approach. Thus, the study aims to determine the relevance of the increase in divorce cases in the Manna Religious Court to the Covid-19 pandemic. And can be used as a means of prevention (precautionary) against the emergence of problems in the household by efforts to improve harmony in the family in the era of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The results show that the divorce rate at the Manna Religious Court throughout 2020 is not affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic. This is because the main factor that causes divorce most often is the constant quarrels and disputes between married couples. In this case, it clearly happened or started long before the Covid-19 Pandemic hit this country.
