Abstract

Transport is an essential part of a functioning society life in this era of increasingly majau. Transport very close relationship with the lifestyles, interests and needs of the productive activities to meet all needs. To meet the needs of transportation, the need to hold a transport planning process, particularly for urban transport often creates parking, riders, and the increasing number of road users are some of the causes that can lead to increased delays traffic flow at intersections, reduced road capacity and increase the number of Linta accidents in several intersections.

Abstract

As it is known that the road characteristics on a road are determined by road capacity, traffic volume and average speed. Road capacity is determined by the width of the road, side barriers which are influenced by activities and land use activities on the left and right of the road, besides being influenced also by other factors such as city size distribution factors, road shoulder construction. land use in determining road capacity. As it is known that MKJI (Indonesian Road Capacity Manual) has a procedure for calculating road capacity but traffic volume conditions that are often far above road capacity raise a question mark for the evaluation of the road capacity requirements. In this study the actual road capacity calculation is based on the approach of traffic volume and actual average speed which then the results of these calculations are compared with the results of MKJI calculations. Abstract

Kombes haji umar Street is orderly traffic area in the city of Pagar Alam City. However on kombes haji umar street there are no pedestrian facilities. Because of this problem, there is an analysis of the level of pedestrian facilities. Data collection methods used in this research is the observation and questionnaire. Variable that has been obtained from the survey results directly in field obtained the highest pedestrian flow of 13 pedestrian/m/min, average speed of pedestrian 68.03 m/min, and a density of 0.191 pedestrian/m2. The volume of pedestrian on the road observation is of 23 pedestrians/mnt/m. Width design of pavement for pedestrians in the get from the average volume per minute at intervals of 15 minutes is 1.87 mon the right side and the left side of the road. Service levels on the need for pedestrian facilities in the way of initializing Haji Umar included in categories "B" level of service. Dissemination of the questionnaire directly against the respondent and of the survey results in the conclusion that as many as 91% respondet stated very necessary the existence of a path for pedestrians.

Abstract

On several roads in the city of Pagar Alam the road narrowing occurred. In particular, on Bridges often cause problems such as congestion, queues, and delays, it is necessary to know the behavior of traffic flow characteristics such as Volume, Speed, and Density. The primary data survey on the Ayek Bridge section of Jalan Kapten Sanap, Pagar Alam City, was carried out for two Sundays and Mondays with the Manual Count method. Data analysis was based on the 1997 Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) using Microsoft Excel software. As for the results of the study obtained the traffic volume for road type 4/2 D (before narrowing) road capacity of 5,643 pcu / hour perlajur, with a value of degree of saturation of 0,15 and service level Type A. Road type 2/2 UD (narrowing) road capacity of 2375 pcu / hour perlajur, with a value of Saturation 0.38 and Service Level Type A, 4/2 UD type road (After Refinement) road capacity of 5130 pcu / hour of service, with a value of 0.20 saturation and level Type A service. The biggest shock wave is obtained on Monday at 07.00-08.00 WIB which is -119.18 km / hour. Negative value is a backward forming shock wave, a backward shock wave occurs towards the arrival of the vehicle. The term 'retreat' means that with time, the shock wave will move backward (upstream or in the direction opposite to the traffic perger). The term 'formed' means that with time, congestion will increase upstream.
