Abstract

Abstract Pantai Panjang is the leading tourism icon in the city of Bengkulu with an ever increasing number of visitors each year. Pantai Panjang already has special facilities in the form of roads intended of pedestrian. However for the criteria or standard of comfort for pedestrian paths in Pantai Panjang is unknown. In calculating the level of service using qualitative data analysis methods base on interpretation of actual condition. This research was conducted in two places in Pantai Panjang, namely the Spot Center Area and the Berkas Park. In each area devided in to three segment that is starting from 16.00 to 18.00 with the duration 15 minutes for each study. The results obtained indicate that the level of pedestrian infrastructure service are B (good) that the service level based on speed is 0.9 (seconds), current is 0.3 (people / m/second), density is (people/m2). The infrastructure availability for pedestrian in Spot Centre and Berkas Park still fill the road users need.

Abstract

Abstract A road is one of the infrastructures for the community to reach an area to another region. In this case to facilitate economic relations activities, both between one city and another city, between cities and villages, between villages and other villages. At present time the construction planning or the thickness of road construction can be done in many ways (methods), among others: ASSTH (American Association Of State Highway And Transportation Officials) and United States (The Asphalt Institute), Rote Note ( England), AUSTROADS (Australia), and Bina Marga (Indonesia). Analyzing the factors of the damage, calculation planning Flextual Pavement Thickness with Component Analysis Method from Bina Marga, 1987. Analyzing of the cuases of damage will increase the accuracy of the research results. Based on the survey of the road conditions, the damages that occurred are fine cracks, alligator cracks, edge cracks, cracks, joint reflec cracks and pavement, rutting, peels, potholes, shoving and weathering. The most dominant damages type that happend is pothole crack. The method used is California Bearing Ratio (CBR), and to determine the thickness by using the field analysis of average daily traffic. Based on the result of the analysis and the counting that have been conducted using Bina Marga method, the average of CBR is 6,6%, the number of the Capacity of Soils is 5,2 %. The thickness of the flexible pavement layer that is required to enhance the section of Jalan Selebar – Sebakul, Kota Bengkulu the based on the component analysis method of SKBI (Indonesia Building Construction Standards) 1987, is 55 cm with the details from the 6732 vehicles of average daily traffic. The calculated results, it is obtained that each pavement layer thickness is the surface course Laston MS 744 kg with a thickness of 10 cm. The base course is using grade A split with the thickness of 20 cm. The subbase course is Grade A sand and stone aggregates with 25 cm thickness.

Because of that, parking characteristic analytic like field survey are needed to make sure the parking problem can be solve. The aim of this research is to learning the characteristic such as, parking capacity, parking accumulation, parking volume, parking cycle, parking index, and parking needed at this univesity. The results of this research are: a) maximum accumulation four wheel vehicle are 9 vehicles, and maximum accumulations for two wheel vehicle are 72 vehicles; b) university blabla has 20 square parking capacity for four wheels vehicle, and two vehicle, and 53 square for two wheels vehicle.; c) 19% Index parking for cars and 115% for bikes which mean available car parking spot can hold the vehicle, but for bike parking spots cannot handle more at the peak hour. d) Average parking volume is 22 cars and 234 bikes in one day, e) Parking turn over for cars is 2,2 cars/hour and 29,09 bikes/hour; f) average parking duration for two kinds of vehicle can be catagorized as mid term parking.
