<![CDATA[Tujuan umum penelitian ini adalah usaha untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan metode diskusi pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial di Kelas VI Sekolah Dasar Negeri 50 Baet Kawan, Kabupaten Landak. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, bentuknya penelitian tindakan kelas, dan sifat penelitian kolaboratif. Subjek penelitian guru, dan peserta didik kelas VI Sekolah Dasar Negeri 50 Baet Kawan yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi langsung dan alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah pedoman observasi. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan dari observasi dengan menggunakan metode diskusi dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar. Pada siklus I diperoleh hasil rata-rata nilai siswa 67,5% dan pada siklus II diperoleh hasil rata-rata nilai siswa 76,33%. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut, secara umum penggunaan metode diskusi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VI SDN 50 Baet Kawan, Kabupaten Landak. Dengan demikian metode diskusi dapat digunakan saat proses pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar.
