Abstract

This research aims to know the pattern of TV media use among adolescent and pre-adultaudience in Jogjakarta in terms of time-spent to watch TV, frequencies and level of attention in watching TV. Besides that, this research also aims to know in detail the background of respondents who watch TV in order to comprehend the interaction built between respondents and their parents as well as the people surrounding them. Another aims for this research are to know the most favorite program watched, the frequencies of watching television programs which contained porn and violence elements. Employing questionnaire as instrument for data collecting, this research covered no less than 750 responden which selected by stratified random sampling technique. The result of this research shows that mostly respondent (83,87 %) spending their time to watch TV in prime time range—from 17.00–22.30—a period which labeled by the community as the period of study-time. It was very reasonable to classify such audience as watchaholic—they spent no less than 180-239 minutes or 4.5 hours a day to watch TV! Most of them (72 %) were classified as avid viewer of sexual or porn element show, 57,87% frequently watch TV program containing violence elements, and 47,60 % lived in consumptive style. In general, they live with good (proper) family, even 62,40% are classified as those who consistently following religion rules.

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the use of public segment and audiences’ mapping of program Kopi Anda or Your Opinion Comment at RRI Pontianak. The research result showed that community’s response towards Your Opinion Comments segment at RRI Pontianak was highly positive. During a six-month research, the number of responses was reaching no less than 230 peoples, consisting of 200 males and 30 famales. There was 178 topics aired interactively and obtained 1.744 responses. On average, a topic was responded by 8 to 13 responses. The most favorite topic was politic (especially those which dealing with government administration). Mostly responses were addressed to executive officers and legislative members. Although the people were enthusiastically in participating to provide suggestion, inputs, and criticisms on the public policy, in terms of provincial or district/municipality, but responses requiring time, fund, and ideas from the people were rarely being cared. One possible reason for such problems derived for the fact that the officers and legislative members have never listened to the radio, despite the power of radio as communication media—therefore, as mediator—between people and their government as well as their representatives in regional legislative institution.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian iniuntuk menjawab pertanyaan mengapa selalu terjadi penyimpangan kebijakan penempatan TKI keluar negeri khususnya terhadap tenaga kerja perempuan. Penelitian ini tergolong ke dalam analisisdeskriptif yang menjelaskan tentang penyimpangan kebijakan pengiriman TKI ke luar negeridengan mengambil studi di Kabupaten Sanggau Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Hasil penelitian akibatkebijakan pengiriman TKI ke luar negeri adalah jika berhasil berdampak positif di bidangperekonomian, karena menghasilkan devisa yang dapat membantu pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional.Bagi TKI dan keluarganya adanya peningkatan kesejahteraan, pengalaman kerja bagi eks TKI.Bagi yang tak berhasil karena adanya trafiking yang diderita oleh TKI, akan mengakibatkanpenderitaan bagi eks TKI dan keluarganya.Kata Kunci: TKI, penyimpangan kebijakan, trafiking
