Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is breastfeeding without any additional food for infants aged 0-6 months. Various studies showed that exclusive breastfeeding improves children's immunity and intelligence. Based on this fact, The Government gave recommendation through Health Minister Decision No. 450/MENKES/SK/VI/2004 about exclusive breastfeeding. However, not all mothers followed this recommendation. This study was conducted to determine the description of age, parity, education level, employment status, husband support, and maternal knowledge level in exclusive breastfeeding. This research is a descriptive study with case study by taking samples from Pelamunan Village as many as 54 respondents who have babies aged 0-6 months. The data collection was carried out by using a questionnaire of maternal characteristics and knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding. The results showed the majority of breastfeeding mothers are not at risk (84%), multiparity or grand multipara (77.5%), low education (83%), not working (77%), very supportive husbands (81%), and most breastfeeding mothers are knowledgeable (79%). Health officers were expected to do exclusive breastfeeding promotion to people of all circles and other researchers to answer the obstacles in the breastfeeding process by a better research method than descriptive.

Abstract

The results of immunization completeness in Kadikaran Village, Working Area of the Ciruas Health Center, are the lowest villages with respect to complete basic immunization completeness status of 52%. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the completeness of basic immunization in infants 0-9 months in Kadikaran Village, the working area of the Ciruas Health Center. This type of research uses quantitative research with a correlation design using a cross sectional approach. The sample of this research is 84 respondents with total sampling method. The0results0of0the0study0showed0significant results,0namely p <0.05, there was a relationship between work 0.361, knowledge 0.000, self-efficacy 0.004, family support 0.002, support for health workers 0.005 and there was no relationship to the education variable 0.146 (p <0.05). The research hopes that health workers will provide alternative ways in the posyandu program for working mothers to keep their children immunized.

Abstract

Preeclampsia is a condition where a pregnant woman's blood pressure increases accompanied by the presence of protein in the urine. Conditions like this are triggered by the fetus' placenta not functioning or developing properly. Preeclampsia/eclampsia is the second cause after bleeding as a direct cause of maternal death. The aim of the research was to analyze the determinants of the incidence of severe preeclampsia in mothers giving birth at RSUD dr. Dradjat Prawiranegara Serang 2023. This research is an analytical correlative research with a retrospective design. The samples taken used purposive sampling technique, namely 69 mothers who experienced preeclampsia. The results of this study showed that there were mothers giving birth with an incidence of PEB of 69%, there was a relationship between BMI and PEB (p-value 0.000 and OR 5.060 ), there is a relationship between a history of preeclampsia and PEB (p-value 0.000 and OR 9.608), there is a relationship between weight gain during pregnancy and PEB (p-value 0.036 and OR 4,083), there is a relationship between a history of DM and PEB (p-value 0.033 and OR 2,797), and there is a relationship between a history of consuming high doses of calcium and PEB (p-value 0.000 and OR 6.632). The most influential determinant of the incidence of PEB is a history of preeclampsia (p-value 0.005 and OR 7.351).The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between BMI, history of preeclampsia, body weight during pregnancy, history of DM and history of consuming high doses of calcium with the incidence of severe preeclampsia, It is hoped that Dr. Drajat Prawiranegara to be able to maintain service quality, especially in providing comprehensive midwifery care.

Abstract

Learning Midwifery practice learning requires media that closely resemble real conditions so that students can optimally develop their clinical skills. The innovation of the SMARTHOM (Smart Phantom) device was developed as a labor delivery simulator based on electromechanical systems and the Internet of Things (IoT), designed to enhance the learning experience in the laboratory. The aim of this study was to determine the feasibility level of the SMARTHOM device as a learning medium for childbirth simulation among midwifery students. This research employed a descriptive approach with a trial method involving 15 midwifery students from Faletehan University. The instrument used was the System Usability Scale (SUS) to assess user satisfaction and ease of use of both the application and the simulator device. The results showed an average score of 84.3, which falls under the “highly feasible” category. The highest-rated aspects included ease of use and the functional suitability of the device with the stages of the childbirth process. Overall, the findings indicate that SMARTHOM is effective as a midwifery laboratory learning medium and has great potential for further development into interactive digital learning.
