Abstract

Nowdays, Alumunium is widely used and utilized in industrial activities because of light properties and having well mechanical strengths. The use of alumunium does not only limit on the use of new alumunium, but also the used one. The main purpose of this research, i.e., (1) testing of physical and mechanical properties of Al-Zn7 from the fussion of Crucible furnace; (2) analyzing crucible furnace of the Al-Zn7 fussion by comparing to the result of the first and second fussion. The method of this research was experimental research with the average value of each the first casting was 49,2 HRB and the second one was 50,3 HRB. Based on the test result showed that the quality of crucible furnace was good because it did not experience the significant changes.

Abstract

This research aims to; 1) Designing and making aluminium melting crucible casting with the capacity15 kg; 2) Conducting the test of chemical composition of the first and second melting result. Theresearch used field and library research. From the result of the design, it could be obtained that thedimension of melting casting has 547 mm diameter, 3 mm thick, 410 mm high. Whereas, molten cup has 178 mm diameter, 8 mm thick, and 230 mm high. The result of the first melting chemicalcomposition test and the second one do not work out a significant change. The material of the firstmelting result still contains 89,52% of aluminium (Al), while the main fusion is 7,71% of zinc (Zn)and 1,84% of silicon (Si), and in the second melting result still contains 89,55% of Alumunium (Al),while the main fusion is 7,51% of zinc (Zn) and 1,94% of silicon (Si).

Abstract

In this article the author conducts research related to energy consumption studies on electric motorbike vehicles (SEMOLI) made and developed by the author. The purpose of the energy consumption study is to determine the energy consumption of electric motorbike vehicles that have been made for further improvement and development. The method used is experimentation with the first phase testing on a straight flat road for one kilometer with flat road conditions, this phase of experimental results shows an average energy consumption of 30 Wh, for an average uphill road consumption of 40 km / h and for the second phase of experimental data using experimental methods with speed parameters 30 - 35 km energy consumption has an average of 30 Wh, at speeds of 40 - 45 km / h energy consumption has an average of 28 Wh, and 50-55 km / h average energy consumption of 27 Wh. The test results show that on flat road conditions and the increasing speed, the energy consumption will decrease.

Abstract

Banjarwaru village is one of the villages in Cilacap district with the potential for wooden broom handle craft commodities. The processing of mahogany wood (Swietenia mahagoni) into broom handles produces wood waste that has not been utilized optimally. The accumulation of wood waste is caused by a lack of knowledge among the Banjarwaru village woodworking community regarding the potential dangers, benefits, and economic value of wood waste. Therefore, training in wood waste processing into value-added products such as particleboard is needed. The Community service team together with BUMDes Banjarwaru carried out mentoring activities as a solution method for utilizing wood waste. The mentoring activities carried out consist of educating the negative effects of wood waste on the environment, educating the potential and benefits of wood waste in another processed forms, and training in wood waste processing into particleboard. These series of activities succeeded in increasing the woodworking community understanding of wood waste by 81.6%. The success rate of mentoring reached 91,67% shown by 11 out of 12 mentoring participants understood the potential danger, benefits, and other processed forms of wood waste.

Abstract

Budidaya kepiting bakau (Scylla spp.) merupakan salah satu kegiatan ekonomi yang memiliki potensi tinggi di wilayah pesisir. Namun, keterbatasan lahan budidaya dan penggunaan sistem konvensional menjadi kendala dalam peningkatan kapasitas produksi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan menerapkan sistem budidaya kepiting model tray berbasis energi terbarukan di Eduwisata Cigimbal Park, Kabupaten Cilacap. Sistem yang dikembangkan mengintegrasikan kompartemen tray bertingkat, Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS), dan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS). Metode pelaksanaan meliputi survei lokasi, perancangan dan instalasi sistem tray, pemasangan sistem filtrasi dan RAS, instalasi PLTS, serta pelatihan pengoperasian dan perawatan sistem kepada mitra. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa sistem budidaya kepiting model tray berhasil diimplementasikan dengan baik dan mampu meningkatkan kapasitas budidaya dari 4 ekor/m² pada sistem floating crab box menjadi 12 ekor/m² pada area yang sama atau meningkat sebesar 200%. Integrasi RAS membantu menjaga kualitas air melalui sirkulasi dan filtrasi berkelanjutan, sedangkan PLTS menyediakan sumber energi yang ramah lingkungan untuk mendukung operasional sistem. Program ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan sistem tray berbasis energi terbarukan berpotensi meningkatkan produktivitas budidaya, efisiensi pemanfaatan lahan, dan mendukung pengembangan ekonomi masyarakat pesisir secara berkelanjutan. Abstract

In this research, the design process of the third generation of electric motorcycles (SEMOLI) is carried out, which is a development of the previous generation with the aim of developing electric vehicles using gearboxes, in order to add acceleration ratios to adjust to road or terrain conditions. as an alternative solution to the increase in fuel and the depletion of fossil energy sources. The results of this study support the national electric vehicle conversion program. The results can be used for the development of the automotive industry. The method used is research and development (R&D). The design process begins by calculating the design requirements for power transfer and frames. The frame simulation process produces a maximum stress of 149 MPa with a allowable stress of 163.2 MPa with a displacement of 2 mm. It is said to be safe to continue the manufacturing and fabrication process. The vehicle trial process produces a maximum vehicle speed of 55 km/h with an average energy consumption of 27 watts/hour.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of orifice thickness on the performance of a porous-orifice microbubble generator (MBG) in aeration processes, particularly concerning the enhancement of dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration and the volumetric oxygen mass transfer coefficient (KLa). The primary issue identified is the limited number of studies that explicitly address the role of orifice thickness as a critical geometric parameter influencing microbubble formation and oxygen transfer efficiency. The research was conducted experimentally under controlled laboratory conditions using two orifice thickness variations, 1.5 mm and 9 mm, with different water and air flow rates, QL and QG. The findings reveal that increasing air flow rate (QG)  correlates positively with higher KLa values for both orifice types; however, the thinner orifice consistently demonstrates superior KLa performance. This behavior is attributed to a steeper pressure gradient and stronger shear forces that promote finer bubble fragmentation and greater gas–liquid interfacial area. Overall, the thin-orifice MBG proved more efficient in enhancing aeration performance compared to the thick-orifice configuration.
