Abstract

Kegagalan distribusi komoditi pertanian dapat berdampak pada penurunan dan kehilangan nilai baik secara kualitas dan kuantitas karena suatu perubahan dimensi waktu-jarak atau suhu serta sarana pengangkutan dalam setiap mata rantai aktivitas distribusi. Model tracking dan tracing system dapat menjadi strategi untuk menjamin keberhasilan distribusi komoditi pertanian secara tepat baik kuantitas maupun kualitas. Model tracking dan tracing komoditi pertanian adalah sebuah sistem proaktif yang real time yang dilengkapi dengan komponen pendukung proses distribusi dengan data yang akurat, terpercaya, berguna, dan cepat dengan memberikan informasi posisi barang atau sarana moda transportasinya.

Abstract

Indonesia, as an archipelago country has the resources of marine and fisheriesboth in terms of its quantity and diversity. Currently the demand of fisheries productscontinue to increase. This is an opportunity for Indonesia to be able to utilize theeconomic potential as a competitive advantage lies in the mechanism or how to regulatethe flow of marine and fishery products in a supply chain. Therefore, this paper aims topropose a concept of Product-Relationship-Matrix for the development of supply chainmodels of marine and fishery. This model is expected to support the development ofeconomic and the well-being of marine and fishery businesses community, both in small,medium and large scale.Keywords : Supply chain, Product-Relationship-Matrix, marine and fishery products.

Abstract

The development of transport infrastructures of the Trans-Sumatran Highway is the policy of the Indonesian government to boost the economic growth. However, on the other hand, this idea needs to be proven since Indonesia has unique regional characteristics in terms of natural, social, and cultural conditions that bring impacts on congestion, low levels of travel security, and illegal costs or surcharges. This problem triggers inefficient logistics activities which can be seen from the high costs of shipping, transportation, and administrative. Therefore, this paper aims to examine the impact of the Trans-Sumatran Highway construction on logistics cost. The result of this study indicates that there are several benefits obtained from the toll road development. For the manufacturers, they may get a faster shipping process so that inventory turnover is getting higher. High inventory turnover can make inventory costs lower. While for the transporters, faster travel times and smooth toll road conditions can reduce the costs of vehicle maintenance and fuel. In addition, the toll road is able to eliminate the surcharges that previously often arise on trips between Lampung and Palembang. This paper argues that the Trans-Sumatra Highway can enhance the transportation and logistics activities.

Abstract

Supply chain management (SCM) is a multi-stakeholder network for managing the flow of raw materials, finished products, information and money. The supply chain’s network refers to the interdependencies of the processes and activities. Taking this into account, stakeholders deal with an environment of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA). The dynamic nature of the supply chain’s environment implies uncertainty in the upstream and downstream sides. Drawing from the literature, manufacturers need to mitigate any uncertainty in their supply chains, which can consist of supply, demand, and technology uncertainties. However, the previous literature neglected any discussion of supply chain uncertainty in the context of the agro-industry. Hence, to answer this gap, this study aimed to investigate the supply chain’s environmental uncertainty factors in the agro-industry’s sectors. Accordingly, this study obtained 30 respondents from the agro-industry in Indonesia. This study reported that the agro-industry in Indonesia has uncertainties about supply, demand and technology. It is faced with the inability of suppliers to consistently deliver raw materials, in terms of their quantity and quality. Meanwhile, demand uncertainty is caused by the fluctuations in customers’ demands and the industry’s low forecasting accuracy. Moreover, the rapidly changing technology has implications for uncertainty in services and product standards; making it difficult for manufacturers to anticipate the changes. This uncertainty in the supply chain’s environment needs to be controlled by the agro-industry through supply chain integration

Abstract

Salah satu aspek fundamental dalam supply chain adalah pengukuran kinerja. Pengukuran kinerja diperlukan untuk menciptakan keunggulan dalam bersaing. Metode SCOR dapat digunakan untuk mengukur kinerja perusahaan. SCOR meliputi reliability, responsiveness, flexibility, cost dan asset. Sedangkan proses-proses dalam SCOR yaitu plan, source, make, deliver, dan return. SCOR perlu diintegrasikan dengan metode pengambilan keputusan agar dapat mengetahui proses yang diprioritaskan perusahaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Analytic Network Process (ANP). Metode ini mampu menghubungkan keterkaitan antar kriteria atau alternatif. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan ANP, bobot nilai tertinggi yaitu deliver dengan nilai 0.28419. Nilai bobot prioritas kedua yaitu return dengan nilai 0.241585, make dengan nilai 0.206115, source dengan nilai 0.134542, dan plan dengan nilai 0.133568. Kriteria deliver menjadi prioritas utama perbaikan di PT. SAA

Abstract

Information distortion tends to inflate from downstream to upstream, and results in demand planning errors and this is followed by inaccurate forecasting. This situation is referred to as the bullwhip effect phenomenon. Demand management is also determined based on either a centralized or decentralized distribution strategy. Both strategies will influence the accuracy of demand planning and its effect on the bullwhip phenomenon. Unfortunately, research investigating the relationship between centralization and decentralization strategies for demand and the bullwhip effect is still limited. To answer this shortcoming, this paper has two scenarios for its analysis. First, forecasting is done to determine the accuracy of demand planning, indicated by the smallest forecast error value. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that single exponential smoothing with alpha 0.5 is the best forecasting method. The second step is to measure the bullwhip effect; the results show that the coefficient is less than one. This coefficient indicated that the company underperformed in the fulfillment of its customers’ needs. Theoretically, this paper extends the literature on demand management in the supply chain by considering centralized and decentralized strategies.

Abstract

Halal products are produced through toyyib processes so that they can be used and consumed by consumers, especially Muslims. Toyyib,which isa prerequisite for halal products, is translated asaform of guarantee of the procurement process, material handling, products, and transportation in accordance with Islamic law. The collaboration betweenproducers andsuppliers, distributors, and consumers is the key to implementing supply chain management (SCM) of halal products. Then, the participation of all business actors in the supply chain network to engage in continuous improvement is an articulation of the implementation of total quality management (TQM). The previous literature shows that research that examines halal products from the perspective of TQM and SCM is still limited. Therefore, this paper investigates halal products from the viewpoint of TQM and SCM. Both perspectives are used with the consideration that the toyyib process is not only the responsibility of the producer, but also the responsibility of the supplier, distributor, and consumer. The combination of TQM and SCM is expected to produce a production process for halal products that conformswith Islamic law

Abstract

Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan perusahaan manufaktur untuk menjaga kestabilan produksi adalah melakukan pemeliharaan mesin atau peralatan. Sistem pemeliharaan mesin dapat digunakan sebagai tolak ukur pengukuran efektivitas mesin produksi. PT. Setiaji Mandiri merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang fibrecement manufacture. Kapasitas produksi sheet machine 3 PT. Setiaji Mandiri yang tinggi menyebabkan sering terjadi permasalahan breakdown mesin yang tinggi dan waktu setup mesin yang tidak standar. Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) merupakan metode yang umum digunakan untuk mengukur dan memaksimalkan efektivitas berdasarkan pada tiga kategori Six Big Losses yaitu availability rate, performance rate dan quality rate. Dari hasil perhitungan nilai OEE untuk sheet machine 3 PT. Setiaji Mandiri secara garis besar masih berada dibawah nilai 85% yang merupakan standar JIPM. Sehingga dalam penelitian ini dilakukan penentuan critical downtime menggunakan diagram pareto. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, terdapat tiga critical downtime sheet machine 3 yaitu pada unit hydropulper, sheet stacker dan felt conveyor. Usulan yang diberikan untuk mengurangi tingginya breakdown yang disebabkan oleh ketiga critical downtime tersebut antara lain penerapan autonomous maintenance dan perubahan sistem pemeliharaan yang semula corrective menjadi preventive maintenance.
