Abstract

An electrostatic precipitator is a technology that removes residual ash from burning before being released into the atmosphere. The ionization process occurs on to flue gas inside electrostatic precipitator which then collected by collecting plate. Flue gas ionization is one thing that affects the efficiency of an electrostatic precipitator. The purpose of this research was to understand the effect of an overhaul on the efficiency calculation of electrostatic precipitator in Banten 3 Lontar OMU Power Plant. This research uses quantitative research methods with descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The data source used is the performance test inspection report data as well as technical data on unit 2 electrostatic precipitator obtained from PLTU Pangkalan Susu Lontar Power Plant. Data will be analyzed based on the calculation of total efficiency and the inspections into the electrostatic precipitator which affect voltage efficiency. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, the total efficiency of the electrostatic precipitator and an increase in voltage applied into discharge electrode will increase dust removal of electrostatic precipitator’s efficiency. Based on inspection data of unit 2 electrostatic precipitator of PLTU Pangkalan Susu Lontar Power Plant, overhaul tends to results in increasing voltage value from 36.25 kV into 50.06 kV. The value of the total efficiency of unit 2 electrostatic precipitator after the overhaul is 76%.

Abstract

Workload analysis is an effort to calculate the workload on the work unit by adding up all the workloads and then dividing by the individual work capacity per unit of time. This study aims to determine the need for health workers (paramedics) by calculating the difference between the ideal number of paramedics (nurses and pharmacists) and the reality (WISN difference) and calculating the workload at Royal Prima University Medan. This type of research is descriptive with quantitative methods. and qualitatively simultaneously to analyze the workload and obtain the number of paramedical staff, namely nursing and pharmacy staff based on the Workload Indicator Staffing Need (WISN) method.

Abstract

This article describes the results of research on the design of a prototype device for an Arduino-based automatic gate control system and the Android operating system. The manufacture of tools is carried out as one of the efforts in advancing technology to provide convenience and comfort through the development of an automation system at home in the form of an automatic gate. The components used for system design are Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller module, HC-05 Bluetooth module, Piezoelectric vibration sensor, DC motor, Power Bank with a capacity of 5600 mAh and a smartphone based on Android version 4.2.1, while the software design uses Arduino IDE, Android SDK and Eclipse IDE. Based on the measurement and test results.

Abstract

Swimming pools and fish ponds require special care to maintain water conditions such as acidity, temperature, and water clarity. So far, the circulation of water in manual draining and filling takes too much time and requires electricity that must always be active. The problem in this study, designing an IoT system in water movement that can be monitored with variables of water acidity, water temperature, and water clarity. which can be controlled remotely. This tool is designed using Arduino and several sensors to process the system on the tool, Ultrasonic HC-SR04 to measure water level or water level, and Water Flow as a water volume recorder. The results of monitoring the water level will be displayed on the LCD. Furthermore, by using SIM800L it can be seen the position of the pump is on or off. Because SIM800L will send a message to the user to notify the reservoir is filled or empty. So that the user's cellphone will display information about the water volume, water level, and the state of the reservoir in a full or empty position.

Abstract

One of the security systems at the substation is grounding. The grounding system is a conductor system that connects the system, equipment body and installation with the earth/ground so that it can protect humans from electric shock, as well as secure in-stallation components from the danger of abnormal voltage/current. The results of the measurement analysis using an earth tester on the Kutacane substation equipment, all observations show the grounding resistance is in a safe condition with the overall re-sults showing a smaller number below 1ohm. And provide a safe impact on the distri-bution system from voltage surges and lightning surges and provide a safe impact on humans from induced voltages.

Abstract

A direct current generator is an electrical system that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy dynamically. An independent and separate excitation type DC gener-ator is a field generator that can be connected to a DC source independently of the en-gine. When a DC voltage is introduced into the field coil in the form of resistance Rf, a current If is generated and flux is created at both poles. In this study discusses a new control system in a generator that is given a load, the generator output voltage is re-duced. The so-called mechanism in regulating the excitation voltage to control the out-put voltage. When the generator is equipped with a PLC operating at the same field voltage, the induced voltage is greater; for example when the voltage is 14.01 Volts or 15.41 Volts, the induced voltage is 34,311 Volts or 51,587 Volts.
